You are labouring under the misapprehension that I am not doing well. I am doing fine.
My point is that both teams can play the same mentality, with the same formation and yet the AI team will score with fewer chances than the player. It is just that way.
I shake my head when I look at the stats and see that despite having work ball into box, that the vast majority of shots are taken from the edge or outside the box. Invariably those shots are going to be speculative, more than a CCC or whatever you want to call it.
Be all and end all, is there are countless numbers of people posting match stats which show overwhelming possession, shots, territory etc etc and yet the AI wins, or draws.
The video I posted on page 222 is a classic example of how the game frustrates.
In my save, I tend to dominate possession against all but the very best teams, and for them I reserve my counter attacking tactics.

Maybe there is something in that. Very few, if any, teams match my 4-4-1-1 formation and I'm certain I have never played against another team using the 4-5-1 Assymetric System. I have tended to play a 4-5-1 V-Shaped Midfield against Arsenal, who have responded at times by switching from their usual 4-2-3-1 to match my formation - with varying success. But since I have tended to rely on those other two formations against most opponents, I haven't encountered that problem much.
I say that opposition teams score from fewer chances, but they tend to be better chances because the user's team is more often dominating possession and getting hit on the counter - when fewer defenders are around to get in the way. Plus, some of the opposition teams are really good.
The only long-range shots my players take are from half-cleared set pieces. Once they are inside the penalty area, I want them to shoot - if it's on and the angle is good. But a Winger will often shoot from a tight angle when a simple square pass would present an open goal for the Striker.

Yes - and if you go far enough back through this very thread, you'll find just such a post from me and a heated exchange with Mike the Moderator and GodCubed that followed. But they were right and I was... less right... and it was only then that I worked the game out (to the extent that I have; I won the Prem two years ago but was runner-up last season; haven't won the Champions League yet but have done well in it; my team is genuinely competitive, though... maybe this season!)
I watched your video earlier on - it's very funny. That kid needs to put his computer away (or what's left of it) and go play outside. Forever.
