Yeah its like the game interpreted the farce at the chavs. It's very frustrating to have a goalkeeper just keep going the wrong way, I don't think even our 4 assists were that bad! Maybe Walkers...
 
Games actually been pretty good since the first match. The match stats have properly reflected the score lines in most games rather than one in every four games ending with the line "They'll be wondering how they lost this!". Scoring some weird goals from crosses though, they look awesome but a bit too frequent.
 
This game is a piece of worthless junk. The developers should be jailed for scamming us. Seriously, do they watch the matches or is Steve Wonder the tester? It takes you literally five minutes to spot all the **** thats going on. They had some 8 months to develop this game and then another 4 untill now. To release a game in this pathetic condition is a spit in user?s face.
 
Playing with Valencia. Got a new non-striker tactic. Four specialist roles, rigid and defensive, but creating up to 10 chances a game, with an average of 20 shots. My forward line appears to like the way it's set up, movement is a joy, shooting is actually half decent, I'm conceding few and defenders are getting back, holding shape and tackling well. I'm getting some goals from corners, even. The AM-DLP-anchor midfield is closing down everything and carving up the opposition back line.

Pre-season prep gets everything fluid, and I don't lose a friendly. Then I go on a 12-game unbeaten streak, including ******* all over Dortmund and Porto in the Champions League, drawing with Real away and Atletico at home in the league and hitting a few also-rans for toffee. I'm thinking, "has SI patched this again to turn it into a proper football sim and I didn't realise?"

Seriously, I was actually enjoying the game.

Then every ******* midfielder I have gets injured - and I mean, EVERY SINGLE ******* MIDFIELDER, half through training (which is set to balanced, and average), within three weeks of each other. On one particularly torrid Sunday afternoon, the guy I replaced an injured guy with gets injured within five minutes of being on the field.

To add to this, the movement in my tactic is crawling to a standstill, scoring chances are falling off a cliff, and my players appear to revert to bungling fuckwits with no sense of direction, pinging passes off each others backs into the path of some shitsville lucky tap-in specialist on the opposition, My results begin to suffer. Very badly.

Within 20 games of the season, my tactic has been completely 'found out'. Nothing improves as my best midfielders start to come back from injury. I'm in freefall in the league. Dinamo ******* Zagreb beat me at the Mestalla. My team goes from playing sparkling, fluid, attacking football to Sunday park slogging bilge with no penetration, no creativity, not an ounce of flair. Why?

Why would SI allow a game to **** up your tactics in less than a third of a season? It's bullshit. It's ******* bullshit.

I'm drawing at home with Barcelona. It's 86 mins. There's a scramble in my area (or, in FM2014's case, a tangle of blind, dizzy stick men kicking at a pinata and falling over) and oh! would you believe it... Ricardo Costa is judged to have committed a foul. I rewind the highlights - he's nowhere near the ******* ball. Of course, they score the penalty (I've yet to see any penalty missed since 14.1, unless it's one of my guys in a penalty shootout, natch). So I stick on an extra attacker, pitch up to overload, set everyone to attacking, untick shorter passing and play out of defence, and change the keeper's instruction to hoof the ******.

It's 87 mins. Remember my tactical changes. My left back has the ball. There's the winger in space. The LB taps it back to the keeper. The keeper taps it back to him. He taps it back to the keeper. The keeper taps it back to him. He taps it to my DM. The DM taps it to the keeper. The keeper stands still with the ball at his feet. The Barcelona players aren't even bothering to hassle him. It's 89 mins. The keeper taps it to my right back. The right back taps it back to him. He taps it to my DM. My DM returns the courtesy. This is all lovely stuff.

There are 2 added minutes. The keeper finally punts it forward, and it goes out for a throw-in. The Barca man throws and it's intercepted by my left back. He's near the half way line, and there's a minute to go. He passes back to the keeper. Oh look, there's the final whistle.
 
Ok, you're gonna love this one! It's the semifinals of the FA Cup. My team Liverpool is facing Man City at Wembley. Balanta, aka supposedly the best DC in the world, gives up a stupid penalty in the box just 9 minutes in and of course Jovetic scores on it. To compound the stupidity in the 75th minute, my Keeper kicks the ball directly off the back of his own defender, Danilo, and it goes in for an OG!!! WTH??!!! Now I'm down 0-2 in a crucial playoff game with only 15 some minutes to play!! We manage to ****** a late goal by Insigne in the 84th minute but too little too late. We lose 1-2, are eliminated, and the other team didn't even make any offensive plays to score their goals!! Truly a bang your head against the wall, want to break my laptop screen moment!! Hi, Decided to update this year. From FM2011 to FM2014, my major saves in FM2011 were Leeds 16 seasons(Premiership, 2 Champ Leagues, 6 FA cups & 5 League Cups) & Arminia Bielefeld 13 seasons(Bundesliga, 2 German Cups & Europa League). For the last 5 years of my Leeds save i had the best keeper in world, now i have Paddy Kenny (never under estimate the value of a keeper with the agility of a spider-monkey & the reach of elastic-man). My Bielefeld frustations are mostly related to the financial situation of the club. In FM2011 Bielefeld was before there financial meltdown and i was able to sign some decents frees & 18YO wonderkids (Bahebeck & Kondogbia). In FM2014 there is no money, Zero tranfer fund and wages are frozen.
Its also difficult to watch your replacement in FM2011, sell all your players.

I knew by 22nd minute that I'm not going to score in this match. 8.0 rating by 22nd minute, saved 4 shots on target, at the end of the game he finished with 9.8 saving a total of 13 shots, yaay.
 
Note: this is not against ME or game, it's genuine frustration.

I ALWAYS ******* hit woodwork in my most important games, and it's mostly from a clear cut chance, this time I hit thrice. I faced Barcelona in Final last time, hit woodwork in that game too. This time in Last 16, I played Guus Hiddink style and was almost going to win with ease, but a late penalty. Even commentary said "That looked like a dive from Neymar".

2-2 : could've been 3-1, alas. They killed 6 of my counters with blatant fouls, ref only booked twice. *****.

this happens every other match I play, after making the last of my 3 subs weather its on the 60th min or the 94 min theres always time 4 at least 1 injury and a nice red card to top things off haha
 
FM 2014 was from the begin not that great, i find it a great dissapointment in comparison to FM 2013. But truly Patch 14.3 must be the worst patch ever brought out. You get screwed time over time, The ME is a joke. What the **** are they doing bij SI?
 
I am doing a season with Newcastle and at 0-0 got a penalty scored it and it still said 0-0 after has anyone had this happen
to them lol just a little tip I have found it is a waste of time attacking with any teams as you hit the woodwork so many times
and have 20 od shots on goal and normally only score one or get counted and end up losing so the best way to play is balanced and rigid or counter and rigid this stops the counters more and you still score the same amount of goals and don't concede this is working with Newcastle and I won the League cup in my first season and finished 7th in the league after being second most of the season
its funny though Man city Chelsea were behind me and I lost my last 4 games just saying oh and man u won the league easy beating teams 6-0, 5-1 and so on lol how many of you out there have scored more than 3 goals in a game on this version lol
 
Is it just me or in this new patch I only seem to concede crosses and corners? It's ridiculous every cross that comes into my box results in a goal

Wayne Rooney scores a header, in a box full of Nemanja Matic, Zouma, Cahill, Ivanovic. Sure, and he won a headed duel, at 5'10 with 10 jumping reach from Zouma at 6'2 and 17/17 heading jumping reach, even if he didn't jump, Rooney can't outjump him. Okay happens.

Random player with 5 Strength "outmuscles, according to commentary" my player with 14 strength?

And the one from few pages before, Vidic with 9/9 acc/pace chases down player with 18/17 acc/pace?

Goalkeeper with 18 handing just lets shots go from his hands?
