i've given up on this game and here is why.every new year they want 50$ for:
-the same game
-new database
-1/2 new options
- some tweaked things like training etc. which sometimes are worse. instead of more layers and details you get general things

why don't they just release a new database each year(maybe a patch for things like press conference and w/e they have new every year) and release a new game every few years when they could actually come with improvements or something that is actually new(and is working well without 10patches)?
Money. it's disrespectful to one of the most hardcore fanbases a game has and i'm tired. it's like buying every new version of iphone, and i would consider myself a idiot for accepting the terms.

I don't even need to go into the stupidity about how everyone have to change their tactics every time a new patch comes out. A new patch is basically equivalent to playing a whole new different game and if you don't change your tactics you would instantly turn from a title challenger to relegation fighter.
overexaggeration to say the least

Personally, im getting quite bored of losing the first leg of every Champions league game 4-0 and winning at home 5-0 or vice versa. Simulator???

Hit woodwork enough times that it was brought up in the post-match conference = gg SI, well played

I just would like to wonder aloud how you can progress through the champions league thanks to a run of gutsy, underdog, rear-guard action performances - often emerging from 90 minutes of nerve-wrecking goalmouth sieges with clean sheets and a nicked goal here or there - only to reach the final and watch your keeper pass the ball straight to their forward on no less than three occasions and your star defender give away a needless penalty in the first 45 minutes.

One silver lining: I learned that FM doesn't ask you to save your game if you CTRL + Q during a match...

* Also, team talks: telling the players that the fans have been great all season and that's who they're playing for, and seeing a run of red "confused and demotivated / lost confidence" reports. Maybe I should have just told my bunch of millionaire mercenaries there was a big fat bonus waiting if they won. Arseholes. I sold a couple of them for that.

Got trolled by SI

Opposition got 1st red card, so I made a substitution to add a striker

Proceeded to get 4 injuries, opposition got another red card...so I was down 8 men vs 9. Managed to scrape by 3-2. SI needs to hard-code to allow max 3 injuries per team per match...there's a reason why there are only 3 substitutions....

No, the reason there are only 3 subs (out of 7) is so that football doesn't turn into "American motorcycle-courier-ball", not because it's somehow against the laws of physics to have more than three players injured in one match.

Amyway, Adil Rami told me at the end of my last season that he was ****** off and wanted to leave Valencia. I talked him round by saying we would win the Champions League the next. FF to next season, and two days before the Champions League Final, which I'm in, and he slaps in a transfer request because we haven't won the Champions League yet.

Now that is an example of illogical and unrealistic behaviour. SI, you stink.

I feel like there are way too many fluke goals from crosses. My keeper has to save one or one hits the woodwork at least once or twice a game.

I am sick to death of conceding headed goals from players with like 5 heading and jumping reach. It's straight up retarded.

My star Italian striker has scored 27 league goals in 28 games, is top scorer by 8 goals and top scorer in Europe, highest average rating of any player in the league and is picked every month for team of month yet does not get called up by national team. Very frustrating and also possibly a bug.

FM14 much like FM13 is a great game apart from the match engine aspect. They cannot get it right, i appreciate its hard. But the constant alterations with new patches is not the way to go. Things are always improved to the detriment of others. Perhaps skip a year or two, polish the game make it work and work well upon release, rather than rush something to release with the apparent safety net of patching the game until it is playable. I appreciate it's hard to do some of this stuff, but FM series is the only worthwhile game of it's kind and they've become hugely complacent because they know there is a great demand every year. This year it seems many, on here especially, are losing patience with the constant alteration. I think i'll give fm 15 a miss (not that anyone cares about my plans) not out of spite to the makers but more to allow them time to develop a really great game without the need for constant and drastic alteration mid-game. Which they're certainly capable of. I understand it's not entirely business efficient to release one hugely altered game but rather many slightly altered games, it's obviously more profitable in the long run. So i'll wait until a few of these slightly altered games have finally cracked it.

Actually one thing I have never understood is why your tactics go to half way unlearned every season. I mean surely they can't forget THAT much in just 5 weeks off season?

Oh and this sort of thing is why I don't look at stats anymore...
Clear cut chances has always been a meaningless statistic lol, if you watch them on extended/comprehensive they are often terrible shots directly at the keeper or a really weak header at the keeper or a poor long-range shot from outside the box when he's already 1 on 1 with the keeper.

Which only underlines how stupid the ME can be.

Eh it's just a simulator, and a pretty good one at that :D

Real soccer can be just as troll. As an American, I always point to USA vs England in the 1950 World Cup. I think the match odds were something like 1:30. The USA team was an amateur/semi-professional team of schoolteachers, menial workers and laborers, etc. And they beat the English national team 1-0 lol. The English team completely out-shot them but couldn't score and hit the crossbar several times. (aww yeaaa) And the Italian referee of that match decided to not send off one of the USA centerbacks for an actual tackle from behind (like legit body tackle) when the English striker was making a break for goal in the 82nd minute because the USA centerback was Italian-American lol (yellow card trollol).

Ridiculous matches happen. But the chance for those kinds of matches to happen in real-life football is so low compared to FM 2014. That's why we say it is a bad ME.
Why do people post like this again and again....
