Game is unplayable wih this patch it's pathetic

Oh nothing wrong with the ME ? "Debatable" flawed ME ?
Here are just some of the few matches that I could keep calm during the frustration and saved the replays. Notice all the Clear cut chances and other stuff.
I can't believe world-class Strikers can miss 9/10 clear chances, (one-on-one with goalkeepers with no pressure from defenders whatsoever, or even simple tap-in). I even tried to create Strikers with maxed important stats, and their finishing were still like ****. I know SI wanted to make the game harder, but this is just too unrealistic and frustrating.
I really really hope they can fix the ME in the next game. FM is my favorite game but the frustration of this year's version is just too much.

So basically, when my team plays like ****, they get whipped, which is fine by me. When my team plays well and I'm dominating, somehow or rather in one on one situations my player misses / shots saved by super keepers / woodwork to the rescue and then get sucker punched, losing 1-0 or 2-0. So either way, I'm defeated and that sounds like relegation form, right?

Of course I know that **** occurs every now and then, but if it's happening almost every match then surely something else is wrong, other than just tactics? I'm sure there are many people out there who are enjoying this game and doing well, so kudos to you guys.

For me however, this is it. I am officially D-O-N-E with this game since it's apparently not doing my health any good, due to me getting very ****** with whatever's going on in game. Enough is enough.
 
Just started playing FM14. So SI replaced the yard-wide woodwork and hockey sized goals with superhuman goalkeepers? That's my initial impression.
 
FM14, why you do this to me =(

1-1 scoreline at Home, near 60% possession till late, 26-5 shots, 12 on-target to 1 on-target (many of the off-targets were result of 75+ minute overload)

Playing as FC Midtjylland, doing well in the league even though I have teams bidding for my players left right and centre. Juelsgard comes to me saying he wants to go to a bigger club. I say no we can make it into the champions league this year, he says ok but then a week later puts a transfer request in because I haven't qualified for the CL yet?!?! im 5 games into the season and sitting top WTF?
 
LOL. Bid on a 15 year old potential 4 star regen. Valuation was 25,000. After a final suggestion of 1m from me, they came back with 45 million plus 12 million over 12 months. For a 15 year old...even a four star one...that is just f00kin stupid.

This happened to me in Athletic Club save! Herrera wanted the same in the start of season with the same transfer request week later, but I ignored him. Two months later he was happy to play in club :wub:.
 
Joke of a game. My team could beat Atletico Madrid 4-0 and win against Barcelona but somehow teams like Leicester, Watford etc are ******* owning me? SI's attempt to add some unwanted "realism" into the game had officially ****** me off. I understand that sometimes even the big teams would lose games, but they would never get ******* owned all the time by small teams time and time again. **** your realism, I'm playing this game to take some time off reality not to get myself ******.Time to uninstall. I've had enough.

It's probably your tactics.
 
I had exactly the same situation. I have played home with Catania, and I'm with Verona. I had 5 CC, aprox 20 shots on target. They had none, and ofcourse we missed passes in our penalty area. And they won 2-0. And it's not the only game lost like this....stupid and with no sense

Oh? You mean that there is a tactic that is good enough to beat all the strong teams out there but will lose to most weaker teams? Cute.

And the very same tactic resulted in my Derby winning the Europa League in my 3rd season while finishing 4th in the league.

Yeah, because you play exactly the same way you play against a top team as you do against a weaker one.

You're saying that there is something wrong with the game. If there was, everybody would be experiencing these problems. Are they? No. Look at yourself and they way you manage the team, let your ego take a hit instead of blaming someone else for your own deficiencies.

So you mean no one is experiencing this kind of problems? Where your team can totally dominate a weaker opposition in every single aspect of the game and then they score from 2 corners and you lose the game? Are you in the wrong thread or do you even know how to read? There is a reason why this thread has 151 pages. Maybe take some time to maybe read 1-2 pages of this thread. Get off your high horse and stop thinking that you are so much better than anyone else.

I don't even need to go into the stupidity about how everyone have to change their tactics every time a new patch comes out. A new patch is basically equivalent to playing a whole new different game and if you don't change your tactics you would instantly turn from a title challenger to relegation fighter.
 
what is the point in having team talks? what is the point? 2-0 up at half-time, tell the team to not be complacent and within 5 minutes of the second half its 2-2 and end up drawing. Why have a feature when it is completely pointless...

I turned around a game by being aggressive, 2-0 down in El Classico playing with Real. Won 4-3 and Casillas gave credit to my team talk.

Or you could try silent treatment like Jose Mourinho.
 
LMAO. I was using 3 world-class strikers all had finishing above 18. The Newcastle dude that scored twice and hit woodwork once had 15 finishing.
Also one of my key players got a broken foot and out for 6 months.
Classic.

I have to say, the stats on here are wildly frustrating. I don't even look at them any more. The result bares so little resemblance to the stats that it's preposterous.

If you look back a few pages you will see some side by side stats I have posted of my stats and other matches that happened at the same time. The stats for the AI/generated matches were goals galore based on worse stats than my own.

If you want to be happy in this game, ignore your stats, and concentrate on what's going on in the game. That's the only way I've avoided losing my rag completely.

I'm not saying this is a cure, nor will avoid the stupid GK AI saving everything, nor make your 18 finishing and composure striker start banging them in. It WILL however, reduce the rage a little.
