My god , sometimes i think this is made to **** with the people where SI earns there ******* money from. Still gett the feeling that my players need to work 10 times as hard for a result then the AI. But that sounds so stupid that i dont believe it myself. Hopefully FM 2015 will bring back the glory days of FM. 2014 ME's is screwed from the beginning and the system of transfers is the most irritating that i have seen in a FM

How ???? Ok. Do you undertand that when 14.1, 14.2 and 14.3 were released they were update ME's ?
It was a genuine question.

So how would this option be any different for us apart from saving us money? 14.4 = 15.0

As for the money I don't know, when it seems SI doesn't also because they've said (at least a moderator said, and sometimes it seems they spoke for SI but other times they like to say they aren't SI employees, so it's a bit confusing) that it's the retailers that set the price of the game. The issue I was trying to focus and it's not an absolute truth, it's just a thought, was that releasing an edition every two years would give them more time to work that edition and, until then, they could release updates (database and fixing ME issues) that could be paid. Since it wouldn't be a full game but just an update, a lower price should be expected.

I've noticed that. Lets say there is no Fm 15, they are working on 16. So they offer patch 14.3 to 15.0 for some money, cause they r of course business company. Why wouldn't u buy it. Its clear now? To kitchin- I'm not trolling. I'm serious.

Ok I'm with you now, but still i would say there is not much different between changing the ME and making a whole new game. I can't see them adding too many new features, just improving the current ones. It wouldn't make much sense to them to release update for FM14 while they are making fm16, when they can just make FM15 and improve that.

Yeah, that's the idea improving and fixing and having more time to work with the next edition. More time to work with, better chances of having less problems... so more happy clients.

Glad we have made breakthrough:) of course its worse for them, but better for us. If they wont change anything, we'll be discussing the same thing next year again and again.

they have improved the ME year on year though, so it goes to say next years version will be better. There will always be teething problems when adding new things to the ME though. Do you remember FIFA 12 when they added collision detection? That had so many bugs, yet now it is much improved. Same with the FM games

I didn't, skip FIFA several years ago.

Some people try create the impression that I'm attacking the game because it shouldn't have flaws and for those I have to say: sorry guys, you have to try harder.

Indeed, the ME improves, graphics improve, and even if it's the only game / sim of it's kind, it's also the best (even if it were no good at all, it would always be best since it's the only one :D, well, but it doesn't sucks). It will always have it's share of problems but having it, it also means that it can improve and this is all that we want.

Yeah and there isn't anything stopping them releasing FM15 as well as improving it. The ME will always be a work in progress, there won't ever be a perfect one unfortunately, so I honestly don't see the point of them releasing 14.4 instead of FM15 which would have the same improvements as 14.4

The point is that by releasing a 14.4 improvement and skip fm15 maybe would give them time to work even better into fm16. Just this.

With this they do rely on user feedback, so you will end up with similar problems even if they take extra time to develop it.

I don't need them to hassle all 90 minutes with the same intensity, that's not realistic, I need them to have a simple reaction and don't ignore their opponents.

You need to have the personnel for pressing. Do you pay attention to things like this? I have specifically assembled a team to close down for 90 minutes.

You can not spout off players that aren't used to closing down or have low work rate and expect them to press.

I don't see how it would give them more time to work on it. They're still working the same amount of time, regardless. Your update idea is exactly the same as releasing FM15. They'd still need to get the ME to a playable state and then test the **** out of it before release. So I say again: 14.4 = 15.0

The only difference in your suggestion, is that SI won't get money for 14.4 where they will for FM15.

By chance, I pay attention to things like that and many others as well as looking into full matches (and it's very difficult to have the patient to do so). I also prefer signing players with better mental attributes just because things like Work Rate, Decisions, Determination and Team Work. As you might know, top teams have quite good players, gifted both technical and mental, so I have to start wondering why gifted players that also have training of appropriate ppm's stand still or react too late when it comes to hassle opponents.

Other user, quite known in the these forums and because of it's own blog, MyPassion4FM, has also been critic about players closing down in this FM.

I think working on something to be released in November 2016 would be different than working on something to be released in November 2015. But if you say it's the same amount of time, ok!

Did you miss the part where I wrote that a 14.4 could be paid if there wasn't a fm15 ?
