Only people who expect the game or any game to be perfect would make nonsense comments. As for me, I've always pointed that game having issues it also means it can improve, and improvement it's all we want. More FM and Better FM, and as more and as better it can be, it will always have something to improve and work with. But still, people have their own right to get frustrated and sometimes they loose their ability to manage that frustration. Understandable ! Not so, when along with some miss managed bitter or some frustration, users have to deal with provocative, arrogant, ofensive and uneducated comments from others that have the responsability of being moderators and just for this reason should abstain of such comments. And not only they have a bad conduct, but they also turn things around to make us look bad.

Worse is when some employee ask for my help under a commitment that if I help he would also do something in return, and then, after getting the help he requested says "you are a very bad body, I won't help you".

We're going round in circles, here.

1. I do not miss your point, I disagree with it. I do not consider expecting support 6 months after release an "indefinite" time frame.

2. I accept they are a smaller studio than most, and are going to be concentrating on FM2015. However a small portion of their time could be taken up with some relatively small fixes, without impinging too much on their development of FM2015. After all, it is likely the ME will be only a slight upgrade (if at all) on this one and plugged into FM2015. Given their statement, quoted previously, that they are happy with the ME, it is not too illogical to surmise that they will do that, with minor tweaks to allow for technological advances.

3. Support and interaction are two very very different things, Mike. In all honesty, anyone from SI can say anything they want and offer palliatives until the cows come home, but it doesn't result in the game being patched or whatever. However the line they have taken is that they are aware there are issues, but the team are happy with the ME. This does NOT suggest a lack of ability (which was argued before), but a lack of intent to do anything, because they feel nothing needs doing. This is a slightly contradictory point of view, as they admitted there are issues. That aside, my point remains the same. I find it a disappointing stand point from them, in my opinion, but there isn't anything I can do about it, other than express my disappointment and question that stance. That is my right as a customer but that is derived out of a love of the series.

1) You can disagree all you want, but you are asking the impossible. To keep support now, would mean not working on FM15, that is not a choice they will make, since they rely on a yearly launch, and they have work to do.

2) Nope, because once the changes are big enough, you cannot backwards implement FM15 fixes into FM14, its incompatible. That's why a cut off point exists, its not a random choice.

3) They are happy with it for where it stands (fm14). Do not misconstrue their words. There are things they want do, but need to be done in fm15 (because the platform needs to be taken back to alpha stage). You can question the stance, the fact is, that's how software development works. They are quite clear and open that not every thing can ever be fixed for the current version.

Sorry but if you cant be civil, why should they interact with you? If you walk into a shop here in the UK, and were as rude as you originally were, most places would not only throw you out, but call the police. Just because you are on the internet does not give you the right to lose self control. You dont have the right to abuse and be rude because you are a customer.

You keep assuming / accusing that I'm not

I don't think I'm asking the impossible, difficult perhaps, but not impossible. Anyway to save typing time, I'm just going to agree to disagree with you, Mike. :)

Oh, and for the record, the frustrations I have are born out of wanting this to be the best game, not out of losing games.

Right now, impossible. If they were a bigger studio, then it just becomes difficult :).

Part of the reason is that you would need some of the dedicated ME lot working on ME updates/fixes, that means pulling them away from making the ME changes in the next version. Thats what I mean about limited resources.

Dont get me wrong, I would love it if there could have a dedicated support team, right upto the next new release date. But if it comes at the cost of compromising the next one, its not much of a choice.

You werent civil. The warnings and posts were all over the threads. It's not assumption when you are actually caught doing it.

Hum, that should be something to do with a post mentioning that this FM is more based in the reality of football in an island. For this, I was accused of being xenophobic :D... and not civil.

I would be curious, since you mentioned there in the UK, what you do call to someone that is responsible to reply to customers and not only he takes several weeks, as when replies we get something "it's done, when it's done. This would be civil, right ?

That's a common argument: we become frustrated because we can't win, then comes the "it's your tactics" statement.

But there are people who are winning and aren't having problems, so it is partially a valid reason

Not quite the truth, you were orginally banned for being rude in the translation threads, then made an alias, then got banned for creating such alias (while also being rude in that one), then banned several more times for creating yet more aliases. We've already been over this, and make no mistake, you would be removed here for doing the same thing. I'm not going to go over it again.

Considering he said more than a dozen times "there is no current set release for the update, its still in development", it's done when its done (which is entirely the truth) is civil. He can't give a set date out if there is not a set one. It's not hard to understand.

I've also said that all tactics have flaws. Then, last night I've pointed some examples and I asked how those examples could be related to the statement "it's your tactics" and I've got no reply.

Yes of course all tactics have flaws. That is why managers need to be dynamic and adapt them all the time. Sometime you can just go through an unlucky spell on FM in general. I went through an awful phase, but I took notes on what worked and what didn't, and now I have put together a tactic that is now hugely successful for me. Sometimes it's about trial and error and finding what's best, rather than playing the football you actually want too

As for the island statement, it's not my problem if people don't know their geography, and it's not my problem when they don't understand they saying something like "football reality in an island" it was actually a compliment since I'm big fan of the EPL. So, that accusation of being rude or something else is completly hollow. The ignorance of someone replying that I was being xenophobic, this one is offensive. And after this one, I was several times provoked by that same person.

As for the translation, although I have no problem assuming I might as well be bitter, two weeks or so waiting for reply after posting only increases the problem and more after an arrogant reply like that.

It's clearer that it's easier to have an eye for just one side of the story.

And that is why I watch my matches full-time, that's why I know that even the best player can make errors or bad decisions. That's football, right ? And that's why I've posted examples, which I reported to SI, and I'm still asking how is it my tactics.

What notes could be taken ? or how is it my tactic ?

- Throw-In: striker is instructed to go forward, he doesn't, he comes closer to receive the ball - SI solution: actually that is good because you have more options...riiiiight

- Crosses are hitting the posts too much

- Lots of shots at the posts - SI solution: it's because of my attacking strategy (awesome really, we see top teams playing attacking football hitting their shots at woodwork every match, don't we ?!) SI solution B: it's rather normal, 1 or 2 shots at the posts per match.

- Offside / Short Corner: player passes the to ball to the player that comes closer, then receives the ball back... offside. It's a corner, the opponent team has the GK and two more players at the posts.

- Corner / Short Corner: a player is instructed to come closer to receive the pass. Have you ever looked where he stands to receive the ball ? Almost near the penalty box with a defender almost right next to him.

Just a few examples that I would like to know what notes can I take to improve and how are these examples an "it's your tactic" issue.

I hope you understand that my problem is not with these issues, I don't like they exist but I deal with the fact they exist. My problem is that there is always some brilliant moderator or user ready to make the statement "it's your tactics", instead of having some humility and try easing things with a calm speech.

Surprised by the amount of posts on this thread, thought this years FM has been very good only sizeable problem I noticed was the amount of goals from corners but they fixed that on 14.3. Yes of course there are always going to be a few annoying little things (recent one for me, occasionally ridiculously high lines at set pieces, why cant you set this yourself?) but it hardly ruins the enjoyment of the game and I seem to benefit from these as much as the AI does against me.

Being on a wonderful win streak, conceding only two goals in the last eigth matches, I go to play away against Werder Bremen, a relegation team full of old and horrible players. I'm very confident, my last game was a stunning victory 6-0 vs Galatasaray away (EURO cup).
Guess what happen? I lose 4-3, with the most ridiculous own goal ever by one of my CBs (end match rating 5.0) and two goals by a ****** and unknown Bremen leftback, who had never scored in his entire career until this game. Good logic, isn't it?

This is not only the worst game that SI Games has ever released (by MILES), but also one of the most frustrating and illogic games I've ever played. It simply SUCKS, nuff said.
But once again, the idiot no.1 it's me, because I carry on wasting my time with it.

So here is my problem:

I was playing with SJ Ver in Portugal's 3rd level division. Mid-season I got this issue where I was getting ties non-stop. After the seventh tie in a match I was clear favorite to win, I tried the save/reload approach. It was useless. I always lost or tied the same game. Mind you, the goals I suffered where incredible bizarre situations like the GK stopping in front of the ball waiting for the opposite team's player to cross the entire field (under pursuit by my defender) and eventually scoring on a 1-on-1 situation. I tried different tactic, different instructions, different line-up, but it was always a tie/loss.
After installing the 14.3 patch, some of the bizarre situations stopped happening, but the results were the same. After trying to use no instructions at all, I got a 3-0 win. But the next matches, I kept loosing. After reading this forum, I learned a bit more about team instructions and got a couple of instruction presets to use. Using those presets I got an almost impossible promotion to Portugal's 2nd level. Won every game of that season after getting the presets.
On my 2nd season, things weren't that easy (as expected). It was clear I was gonna fight relegation. But still, I managed to get a few ties. Weird thing is, it was only ties. Again, seven or eight in a row against vastly superior teams (no wins, but also no losses). It was disturbingly familiar. Team moral was OK, so when I got drawn against a 3rd level team on the Cup, I expected a nice win. It didn't happen. After having 2 penalties scored against me, I only got through by scoring on the dying moments of E.T. (3-3) and then coming through on penalties. Back on the league, the ties resumed. I tried messing with the instructions and tactics but only got defeated. Until I got to play the other promoted team, Freamunde. They were below me on the league, with low morale and I was a clear favorite to win the match. My team's morale wasn't great, but it was OK. Again a tie.
So I went back to the old save/reload routine, thinking something wasn't right. No matter what tactics, line-ups or instructions I used I always lost/tied. Sometimes I scored first (most times I didn't), but I always tied/lost. When I thought I'd get a win, the GK suddenly stopped grabbing the ball every time or I'd start suffering unbelievable goals from out of the box never before seen on Portugal's 2nd Division (one or two) or the occasional penalty. I reloaded the save well over ten times, maybe twenty.
There's no point keeping playing the game like this, having stuff like this happen every season. If the game isn't scripted (which I refuse to believe it is), it seems the match engine isn't exactly working well. What gives?

This isn't like previous FM's where you could just rocket up the leagues at a whim. From your description it would seem as though your players aren't up to scratch. Persist with the game, complete the seasons and sign some new, better players (especially a decent striker by the sounds of things!)
