lol yep or worse for me is i specificaly tell them to mark particular player even sometimes 2men man marking him tightly and what happens marked player goes and swans around easy goalin sigh

I have had those games in FM13, but I have figured out a way to win or at least draw away games. I don't play defensive tactic, I play a well worked counter tactic, you need a tactic to be fluid to work properly, you can't tell your players to play on counter just the night before the game if you've been playing attacking football all season. A fully fluid tactic where you are also efficient going forward (not just defending) can lead to opposition also focusing on defending, if you completely defend they won't have to worry about their defense and go on attack attack attack.

Happens regularly on every save, with different teams, with different tactics. Last FM I ever buy before the final patch (if at all!)

This is actually a poorer example. Other games we'll utterly dominate with CCCs and HC galore and still get beat.

Once lost 1-4 to a team that had one... ONE shot on target (from a corner. Other 3 goals were OGs FROM CORNERS)

Looks pretty realistic to me...I remember seeing Ajax lose 0-1 to Volendam sometime around 1995 (when they won the CL) in a match that looked a lot like that, based on the stats! ;-)
 
Completely agree. And the whole telling them what the team will achieve next season is ridiculous. Players usually just want more money in real life. Also I guess fair enough if a team like Man Utd put in a bid but very unrealistic how often this happens. I just put them on the transfer list but put a high price on them. Eventually clubs will give up trying to buy them and then take them off of transfer list and they usually do not say a thing.
 
Oh my days! Where do I start? So many annoying things about this game. Love it though but wish they would just sort some things out. Although the game is way too easy (3rd in prem with Bristol City) I have just had a game against an average Swansea team and it is laughable. I think the game has decided to make me lose this as I have been doing a bit too well. But losing it is fine if I was not suddenly playing against a team of superheroes! For the whole 90 minutes their players slid in time and time again and won tackles, took me out and went unpunished. Absolutely nothing I could do, my team could not even get it into their half. The thing is I know this might just sound like they were fitter, more up for it, better on the day. But watching it I was just laughing at how ridiculous it looked. They have to improve this, my team were 100% fit, much better technical players and they could not do anything and whatever I changed to improve the situation did not make any difference. No team can go like they did for 90 minutes. It is like the game decided I have to lose this one and whatever I did made no difference. Just want it to be more realistic. Many other things that annoy me but just thought I would post this one. No doubt I will probably go on and win the league this season but it seems most games are way too easy and then one of these every now and then come along, they need to make some kind of balance.
 
I think the game just decides you have been doing a little bit too well so makes you lose which means it has nothing to do with the decisions you are making. I am sure this is the case.

Wish I was finding it easy, but it is getting silly now. Just played Villa away (I'm Leeds, promoted last season), and the game says "Villa deserved victory against a lacklustre Leeds"

Yeah, right, I had 14 shots out of 18 on target and created 4 CCC's & 6 half chances. They had 19 shots, 10 from long range, no clear cut chances and 2 half chances, I lost 2-1.

In what world did they deserve to win...

I can't win, whatever I do this year!!
 
On a rut, 5 draws in a row. Guess who's Man of the match in every game? Their fking Defender with like 15-20 tackles attempted and 100% success rate. In games where I manage to score from set-piece/Penalty, my players decide to brain fart and concede an equalizer in dying minutes when I set to defensive.

It is possible to create a successful tactic without a False 9. I'm currently 15 matches unbeaten, 5 points clear at the top of the league and have the best defensive record in the league. I'd say that's quite a successful tactic!

the false 9 sounds like a good tactic in theory and maybe in real but none of my strikers have scored from it or performed well i know its role is to draw cbs out opening for other striker but that doesnt seem to be doing that either..
 
First Krul saves a long range shot from Lampard, which I thought would be impossible to save but alright, then he basically picks up the shot from Willian on the rebound from inside the goal, huh?!! How could he get up and react so quickly to pick up the shot (Considering it's a ME bug that thought the ball isn't inside).

To be fair to Krul, he just gave me an own goal in which he picked up the loose ball from his defender and went in the goal and dropped it in, LOL!
 
I despise this game whenever an update comes out. My tactics that were giving me a watertight defence, has turned into a waterfall.

Also, has anybody else been having massive problems with conceding early goals? Every save I have done so far I concede in the first 10 minutes, every game, without fail.
 
Oh, and every single goals I've conceded in this game so far has been because a defender missed a tackle high up the pitch. Every ******* time. It would be okay if it was something I could counter, but the ME sucks huge donkey balls. Consistently create 3+ CCC's a game, but it's always my centre back from a corner that saves me :/ Just played a Europa league game and won 1-5. 4 goals from set pieces, 2 a piece for my CB's....

I've never had it this bad before, this was insane to watch. CCC's point blank from corners, one on ones.. My moron striker or center backs smash it straight at the keeper or on to the bar every single time, and city score every time but 1. Maybe the funniest part was Joe Hart only got an 8.2 after a clean sheet making 13 saves.
 
When I started to play fm 14, I play as arsenal. Yes, I do. I do have problem like all u have. Missing CCC, horrible defending, etc. All made me having a nightmare friendly, 3 games lose. Then, I decide to make a major changes. From very fluid to fluid, attackin to control, high tempo to slow, and many more. I decided to make a more cautious approach. U know what happen next? Yes, 25 games unbeaten and 1st in league. From this experience, I know that it isn't the ME that having problem, it is your tactic and approach. Ignore that I play a great team. FM is a complex game mate. If u want ur player do all things what u want, why don't just use very rigid? Or just play FIFA instead?
