The thing is, why did they produce such a spiteful, perverse match engine? Surely it cannot be good business sense. I, for one, will never buy FM again, and I have bought every release in the last 12 years or so. If you are going to stick two fingers up to your customers like they have done, it's bound to cost them reputation and money. I dunno what they think they are at.

Last season my two starting DCs scored 37 goals. A rotation DC scored 4 while my starting CWB-L scored 8 goals.

I have not read through this entire thread but for the first time ... I actually stopped playing an FM version until the final patch (hopefully) address the big issues. I simply got tired of putting in hrs I am supposed to be having fun with and instead find myself flabbergasted.
If you dare look in the bugs forum on the official site..... you will indeed see confirmations on the main issues ..
Strikers making absurd shots, passes not being taken when a clear option is available, corners, and some defending decisions.
Each reply from the bug MOD was basicially "its a balancing act and we are working hard to address them"...
So for me .... I am back on FM13 and WOW what a difference in gameplay ...players do indeed play "normal" and I am back to happily burning my hrs on that version.
Hopefully the "big patch" will address those issues. Until then, back to FM13 for me .... a first of doing this.

Not playing this game until they sort out the stupid ******* mistakes! My tactics have to be flawless in order to be successful yet the AI just has to wait for my keeper to pass them the ball or drop it their strikers feet. Also what the **** is wrong with corners? In one match I can witness my main corner taker hit 3 out of play yet my opponents corner taker seems as good as Beckham in his prime! Game is bullshit.
cant believe after all these complaints that no one from the makers of this **** poor edition of fm14 have come out and
said anything about it and why its so bad should be ashamed of themselves the best ever football sim has been ruined I wont be buying it again until it is back on par with other editions

Second time already this season, where the game is hugely affected by an useless ref... 20 fouls and 5 YC?? Against Swanseas 9 fouls and 0 cards... Even the match report said the ref sucked... It's also sickening to see two shots on goal resulting in two goals when my team's been controlling the game. (Possession dropped from 60 to 51 when I desperately needed to get the ball forward...)

Iv'e just notice the new patch that's 14.3.0 and I got to say what a ******* insult by SI and this shows they don't know much about what's going on in the world of Football.
every single Newcastle fan would agree with me with the transfer budget as shown above that this is wrong all together, we made over 19 million from selling Cabaye and we bought in Luuk De Jong on loan and we didn't purchase a single player.
so tell me SI why is it Newcastle have a wage budget so low and 5 million in the transfer budget? when there should be at least over 25 million?

I agree with you there mate. I just started a save with Newcastle and I was expecting more money. I wanted to do what Joe K didn't and get in a replacement for Cabaye.

I can never seemingly sell players for their actual value or over, yet when I want to sign a player I have to pay ridiculous prices...it's really annoyed me today.
That and my Director of football never seems to attempt to find my players a new club even if they are on the unwanted list.

The sloppyness that almost always led to stupid goals? Check.
Every now and than your goalkeeper, even though considered one of the best in the world, does a horrible mistake? Check.
High chance of injuring, for more than 4 weeks, and SAME TIME, players from the very same position? Check.
Thousands of goal chances being scrambled by the very best and deadliest strikers in the world? Check.
Your team not creating ONE through ball chance, while the opposition always creates at least 4 per game? Check.
Smaller teams playing like they have Pep Guardiola on their bench? Check.

That's something that really bugged me for a long time: how come I have to offer three times the amount of money that other clubs offer?
No rival selling to rival situation! And to me, I truly thought in 2013 that one problem was mitigated.

Fullbacks are such a god **** liability. They cost me so many goals it is such a ******* joke. Honestly, the defence in general is a ******* joke. Do you know how many times my CB's decide to just head the ball backwards? EVERY GOD **** GAME. SCHOOLBOY DEFENDING. EVERY.*******.GAME. Never before have I seen such an ME riddled with defensive flaws.
Decision attribute of player might be low? CB back headers reach GK more often than not, but there are players like Kolo Toure IRL too. My player of the season was fullback at least on 14.2.2 patch, don't know about latest.

The price you've to pay is relative to size of contract in many occasions in this game.
Also try selling players at the start of summer transfer window of next season. It also depends on player's wages, no one will take Torres even on Free because of 175k/week wages. I've managed to sell players for upto 40M in next year because most teams have budget. In first year, I can't probably sell Eden Hazar for 40M.

So tired of my strikers being totally unable to shoot anywhere other than directly at the keeper. Also, despite all commands to the contrary, the striker always runs down into the corner, not at the defence (which is selected) not down the middle (selected) and never shoots, always passing, despite having all shoot buttons selected.
Fing annoying. I see very little difference in the patch. The AI team still manage to pass around and move through channels, and their entire team seem so fast to reorganise they almost teleport! I mean a winger with high dribble and speed of 18 should not be back tracked and beaten by a defender of 11 speed.
It's still stupidly balanced in favour of AI, particularly bigger teams. No matter how defensive stance I take, I leak goals like a seive and no matter how attacking, I can't score for sh*t because my strikers can't hit anything but the keeper!
