You need to start looking at why you don't take your chances, what is it about your approach that leaves not converting as well. RVP (for me) has the best conversion rate in the league right now, at 31%

And a joke of a shot and chance is labelled as CCC. My fullback missed a chance, which btw opposition GK saved well, and it was from an absurd angle that even Messi might've missed, but it got labelled CCC. Pretty vague stat, there's more chance of your player finishing the same "CCC" but better chance on the break as less pressure is being applied on him, a la opposition if you dominate a game.

Is your actual manager character background marked as "International Footballer"? Because if he/she is "Sunday League Footballer" with lousy *** reputation then the world class players won't listen to you, respect you or play for you and even Messi becomes a ****** fuckup with bad morale. Your managers reputation makes a whole lot of difference and it actually is a difficulty selection. And a bigger team you choose with less reputation the harder the game gets to succeed until you make a name for yourself.

That is the most usual problem with guys that can't get their top class team to perform.

Has anyone had a player crosses the ball in from about 40 yards only for your GK to fall down and the ball bounce over his head, and into the net. Happen me 3 times in 2 seasons.

Yes you have, indeed, failed to understand.

AI players NEVER miss a penalty. My players miss them all the time, especially in shoot-outs.

I think people on here are saying I'm not doing ok and I can't score.

I can score and do. It's just the conversion rate when I lose defies all previous conversion rates. I played against someone in ECL recently and won 4-1 with 34 shots to their 5. The vast majority of mine were on the edge of the box, even when they are instructed to work in to the box.

This result is not because of my tactic, it's because my players were playing like they were on heroine or something, making absolutely ridiculous mistakes. It's like all match was scripted. This is ME.
 
No, the match engine does not employ scripts. Your defenders playing badly is one thing to look at though. What were their ratings? Was it across the board, 6.0s, or was one guy significantly worse than the rest of them?
