All of that doesnt really matter. My Napoli save turning out just like so many others. A big disappointment! The game I was talking about was against Livorno and the final score was 0-0.

Two issues there. Only 2 shots on target? Something's very wrong there. I'm assuming Livorno would be classed as an "easy" win? You players would become nervous as the pressure increases on them the longer it stays at 0-0. It really helps to keep them calm and to have a inspirational captain.

WJ you seem to know what you're talking about so can you help me on how to hold a lead? I quickly made a tactic on the spot that allows me to win games relatively easily (beat Rangers 1-3 in Glasgow they scored in the 82nd minute through one of those flukey deflected crosses) but i don't really like how it plays.. I'd like to continue using my 4-2-3-1 instead of my 4-1DM-2-2(AMR/L)-1

You're probably better off asking the tactical gurus in the Tactics forum or wherever they give tactical advice here. Just create a thread showing what you currently use. Then ask how it can be made defensively better when holding onto a lead. I'll have a look too when you've created the thread.
 
after spending weeks and hours using different tactics team talks and trying almost everything.i hate the match engine.i will list my main hates.
1.everytime my player hits a screamer of a shot it hits the bar or the keeper flies threw the air like superman and holds it.doesnt matter what keeper it is, from non league to premiership.
2.sick of wingers hitting stupid shots at the near post rather than a simple pass across the goal for a tap in.yes i have wingers shot less but doesnt matter.
3. lack of goals from your midfielders, unless its your attacking midfielder.
4.long shots from midfield 90% of the time go straight to the keeper or hit a defender.
5.not enough variation in goals scored.
6.strikers 1 on 1 with keeper always hit it straight at the keeper.i have still never seen a player go round the keeper.
7.too many times when you get a cross in the box your striker heads straight at the keeper or if he is about 2 yards out heads it over.
8.corners are terrible.
9.too many offside goals.
 
How about the defence magically unravelling? or the highlight starting a corner with your keeper right next to the corner taker..that ******* bug just cost me the League Cup!
 
yeh thats another 1 were defence just stand waiting for a through ball to be played in behind for their striker to run in and score.
 
As someone previously said, its easy to get in the slump and lose morale
 
43635074389432689468926492659269 amount of goals conceded from near post corner. I've tried putting upto 3 markers on near post, man mark all the players still nothing.

And what's worse is, it's usually a late equalizer.

I found midfielders score more only in one role, CM (attack). I got Lampard to score 17 goals from midfield at the age of 35 with that role. Admittedly his finishing, off the ball movement and long shot attribute is great. I think "Off the ball" is key here, not many midfielders have great off the ball. But yeah, most of the shots my box to box midfielder takes hit woodwork more often than target, and back of the net.

That's a UI issue, not an ME one.

I should clarify. By "issue", I mean oversight. It's one that SI admits to. The AI also do not gain any advantage from it.

Amen! And what's with the heading? All the time in the world... Still with the idiotic headers! Also Messi seems to score helluva lot goals on headers now... :)

Lately I have been wondering... Why do the players have attributes when they clearly doesnt matter when it comes down to scoring?! Goalie and Striker attributes doesnt matter at all! I quess my world-class striker put the ball in the net from really good CCC's because of something I said in a press conference or before the match... :D :D :D Give me a f'n break!
 
Corner kick takers kicking the ball straight out for a goal kick. It's by far the most frustrating and ridiculous thing I'v seen in an football sim game. If it happened once it would be annoying, but at least once a game is just beyond terrible.
 
i would like to concede a good goal from the opposition, the only time the score seems to be from a player mistake which is stupidly ludicrious

I give up with this game. More stress than it's worth.

I will say this time and time and time and time again..

The game should come with a FULL COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE on tactics with helpful pointers. But no, if you're not naturally talented at the game, you have to TROLL through google looking at tactical guides from every Tom, **** and Harry.

I know CCCs aren't everything, but they had a CCC with their only chance indicating that it was a good chance. You had 35 shots and could only muster 1 CCC and way too many off target.

Not just tactics, but everything, team talks, press conference, players adaptation, training, I wanna know what affects my players and their form
