Strangely enough, that's something I've never had much of a problem with. My players always seem to be able to defend set pieces reasonably well (considering the quality with which they defend all other attacks).

Another thing, I don't seem to be getting many injuries either!


Perhaps Steam didn't correctly install that February ME patch, because I see my fullbacks constantly just escorting wingers down the wings rather than pressing them, when the last ME patch(es) are supposed to have fixed rubbish like that.

Nah, it's fine. There are 2 kinds of fixes/patches: the actually working one and SI patches.
 
I've come back now. After every failed game I say "That's it! I'm done!". Just can't do it. Thankfully, this time seems to be going ok after the first couple of games.


But... a frustration for the opponents. They're on the attack. Played into their striker, who shoots, and it's brilliantly saved by my keeper. The ball drops a bit wide, but still around the 6 yard box. One of their players gets on the rebound, all he has to do is put it in the net, and instead he decides to play an overhit cross. Hmm.
 
What the ****? I took over when the team I am managing (Hartlepool) was already relegated. I win the final few games I'm managing as and morale is high. So, for whatever reason, as soon as the team goes on holiday, almost the entire squad's morale plummets to Abysmal?

Okay, it was only temporary. Went back up a bit after a couple of days, then back to pre-holiday levels at start of pre season.
 
We should rename this the Jac4121993 thread ;)

I just thought it was maybe a fault with my tactics, glad to know I'm not the only one who suffers though.
 
Against a team I dominated every aspect of a game last season on 4 occasions suddenly NOTHING works. Suuuure. Just for the fun of it I reloaded an older save and forwarded to that game. Played it at least 30 times now, switching tactics that worked, tweaked them a bit, different OI's, different players, nothing. 30% they hammer me, 10% I might get a (lucky) draw, 60% they win and my team just looks as if they forgot how to play football - this game is so ridiculous sometimes all you can do is laugh about it. Oh, and I was on a 9 games winning streak, so that just underlines my suspicions of manipulation once more - because there's not a single reason for why this is happening.

Also why the **** do opposing players always "have a good game" after a few minutes? I NEVER have that. Doesn't matter if you're favourite or underdog, having more possession or not, having more passes completed or not, whatever.

I had it for 5 days and tbh it wasn't to bad just needed a few tweaks and what happens 5 days after I buy it they release a 2.0 patch that totally breaks the game and makes it unplayable. It kinda reminds me of the first couple of patches for this seasons fm. they released a patch that fixed some things that indirectly affected other stuff although. although to SI's credit it didn't break the game not like what maxis have done when you are a playing a city simulator and have gridlocked traffic because everyone is using the 1 lane or fire trucks are just sitting in the garage or you are getting air pollution for no reason or you have 200k pop and only 300 people in schools despite 5000 places or every 5 minutes playing whack-a-mole with the abandoned buildings because of all the bugs kinda is game breaking. forgot where I am going with this now but yeah kinda makes the **** storm that was on this site November to January seem like nothing when you go on SimCity forums
 
I go to sign Quaresma on a free transfer as Sporting. He wants wages of 73k a week! I tried to negotiate him down, offering him pretty much max on every bonus, but he still wants 60k. So I give up as he isnt worth that much.

The 1 week later, Braga sign him on ****** 7k per week!!!!! WTF IS UP WITH THAT?!
 
Just wondering if SI has any idea of injuries, as it seems every player in FM is made of glass. They might need to study injuries, because that is one thing they don't know anything about.
 
My advanced playmakers always gets injuries. I want to furiously destroy something.

I just rested a few important players for a cup match because we have a big game in mid-week a few days later. Obviously we lose the cup match, only to be informed that that the big mid-week match has been re-arranged due to it clashing with a cup replay! Surely 1) cup replays don't take place until at least 10 days after the original match, and 2) league games should take priority over cup replays! It seems that everything takes priority over league games......good job I didn't have an u18s or reserve match or that would probably have taken priority too! Reality? What reality?

League games are rearranged for cup games in real life all the time. Take the Chelsea v Spurs game this season...

Yes, but replays aren't arranged for the mid-week following the original match! It's always at least 10 days later. I guess SI don't have to worry about police arrangements and all that stuff!
