If you went back in this thread and also looked at the "what do you want in FM13' thread, you will see me beating this point to death. It drives me absolutely crazy more than anything else in the game. All I want is an explanation as it has been there as far back as I can remember. Why can't the coders get this right? If a player was making 600/wk, why was he asking for 3500/wk from me when my board would only allow 2800/wk and then taking 800/wk from another team in my conference?!?
I guess that is a related gripe from me. Sometimes I will only be like one or two hundred/wk away from what the player wants but my board simply won't let me increase my offer yet they will let me offer double that for another player who is weaker than the one I wanted!
Ah yeah - I think the A.I players make terrible decisions. They sign for less money to a team in decline, selling their best players with their whole team past their best. While my team has gained back to back promotions, won a trophy, full of future internationals who will be good enough for the league title in a couple years. Makes no sense. There needs to be better judgement in FM2013.
I was trying to sign Felipe Melo, ambitious but he has been alienated then released by Juve. Nobody is interested in him as a free agent. He was on 70k a week, 30 years old and asked me for....150k. Despite being very interested. I offered my maximum, 55k and no, nowhere near. Forget it. I wouldn't offer over 40k with my wage structure. He is now at Cruzerio on 32k a week. Sure - he played a season for them 10 years ago and is from Brazil and ''might want to settle down to retire in his home country'' but I get it constantly! Just a example I can name now.
