Proxy's Parking Bus Destroyer

anonymousproxyFM: That's great. And can you give me a little more detail about how your team struggling to score? Is it because they couldn't create a CCCs or because the pass and move didn't work as fluid as before? And yeah, maybe the two new strikers need more time.

Keep me updated yes?

-----------------

Wilfried and Suárez were injuried, and with Balotelli and Paloschi playing it was really hard to score for some games. Suárez recovered and I played him and Paloschi, they are doing great and the team scores. And Balotelli still pretty bad so far (considering to play him as IF as I had tried DLF and Poacher already)

The problem is that the inconsistency continues. The team can play some very great games (both in attack and in defense) and in others they seem completely out of the plot.

I beat Barcelona in UCL so then I just was knocked out by PSG after a 1-1 draw in France and a 3-1 deafeat at home :\

In the Premier League is ok, I'm 2nd. one point behind United but one game behind too.

But still the inconsistency continues:

I am finishing my third season and I have in mind some changes for the tactic and I'l gonna try them in the next season. Hope it does not turn into a complete disaster. I'll tell you in case of any improvement.

btw, can anyone tell me where I download this new patch?

It downloads automatically when you put Steam in online mode. In the bottom part of the Steam window you should see something like "1 element downloading" (I'm using the italian version so I'm not sure about the english label), and as soon as it finishes downloading it automatically updates the game. One of the good things of Steam is this, you don't have to search for patches around the web. Of course it has its downsides, but I'd go offtopic :)

anonymousproxyFM:

Your tactic is ace when using low ranked teams, I mean, it destroys most teams left and right in the 1st season. Problems arise in the 2nd season, now teams similar to your will sit back and wait, and some will even keep the ball long enough for your team to open up a bit and score.
Then your team opens and puts pressure even more and the other team will score again. Later, your team will score one or maybe even tie the game but against bigger teams with better players, you will most likely loose big time.

I believe the tactic relies a tad too much on the opposition strategy to exploit their weakness. Teams that close the shop are a pain in the *** to crack, and it ends with a draw most times.

For the fun of it, I´m playing in Argentina with a team called All Boys, it is the 2nd season with them and they did well last year, ending up a 2 spots above the line of water. This year, still with your tactic without being fullly fluid, they are eating up the competition, unbeaten so far.

Fix the defense and you will have a destroyer to compete with the top tactics here, but then again, it pushes up the defense lines...dont see a fix for that even with better players

I was considering to try to fix this tactic to make it more solid, but I don't think I can do it :(
Decided to start my 4th season with goalsgalore instead.

despite the inconsistency, this tactic gave me 2 FA Cups, 2 Carling Cups, 1 Premier Legue. In UCL I reached semi-finals twice. Can't complain.

Hi, Proxy.
My respect for you tactic.
Can you make the new version for the new patch(12.1.1) for comparison?

I will once i get my hands on FM again. ;)

Haven't experiencing this on my 2nd season. I lost against Everton because their physical approach, playing direct ball to Tim Cahill on AMC and from then, Cahill will flick the ball behind my CDs and then boom...just like that, lost 4-3 after leading 0-3 at HT. But indeed, the tactic have an issue about the defense and i'm running out of ideas of how to fix it without spoiling the pass and move.

I believe the tactic relies a tad too much on the opposition strategy to exploit their weakness. Teams that close the shop are a pain in the *** to crack, and it ends with a draw most times.

Yeah, that's why the tactic need 2-3 players other than the DLF to pulled the opp. d-line. Good IFs would do the job if you have them.

Certainly, you can fix the defense setting but it would screw the pass and move a little bit, and i just don't like that. I love my team to play fluid attacking football. :D

Fix the defense and you will have a destroyer to compete with the top tactics here, but then again, it pushes up the defense lines...dont see a fix for that even with better players

Yeah, hopefully i can make this tactic even better on the new patch. ;)

Sure mate, no worries ;)
I'm going to make this tactic even more better on the new patch anyway, because i'm stuck on the 12.0.4 patch LOL

Cheers.

hi, your tactic is amazing
my westham goal for 108,goals againts 23 until 10 march 2012
and the poacher is amazing macheda 33 goal
but i have some problem in counter attack, maybe i must change role to FB and set run from deep to sometimes

And i need a recommendation for a new BWM and DLF for a promotion team

Did you use the 12.0.4 patch?

If you are, indeed, the tactic have problems against counter attacks. You might be experiencing this more often at the EPL. There's nothing i can do about at the moment, i'm running out of ideas of how to create a better defense without spoiling the pass and move. The FBs positioning on the 12.0.4 patch was horrible. But hopefully i can fix this on the new patch so the tactic will work even better (will do this once i get my hands on FM again).

BWM:

- Beram Kayal
- Kara

I could only recommends those two, i'm not used to recommends players which i never tried before. But you could search based on the good attributes for BWM.

DLF:

- Carlos Fierro
- David Goodwillie

If those are willing to join your club, sign both of them. Another player who might be good at playing the DLF role on my tactic was Hugo Rodallega, please note that i never tried him before, but by the look of his attributes i think he could be playing in that role just fine. Thanks for the feedback mate. ;)

Cheers.

Mushaga Bakenga would a good sign for a lower team in EPL. Just look for a players who have a decent pace and accel and good finishing and composure. ;)

I don't know if it's gonna work mate. Just try it out and let me know how it works for your team, yes?;)

flying high with blackburn

Hey guys,

Just giving this tactic a little bump and also to report on how my game is going...

Currently in my third season as blackburn and doing really well. Sitting third in the table after 16 games and playing well.

Won the FA cup in my first season, got to the final of the Uefa Cup in my second season and now aiming for a top four finish this season.

My team is (first choice in bold on the left of the /):

GK Luis Guilherme (975k) / Paul Robinson
DL Martin Olsson / Ricardo Rodriguez (5.75m)
DR Sebastian Corchia (15m) / Romario (450k)
DCc Christopher Samba / Adam Hanley
DCd Kara (16m) / Scott Dann
BWM Adam Vass (900k) / Taras Stepanenko (3m)
AP Andrea Bertolacci (650k) / Ruben Yettergard Jenssen (1m) / Charlie Adam (loan) / Andile Jali (350k)
IFL Junior Hoillett / Mario Formica
IFR Marin Tomasov (550k - bought as backup for the current season but has destroyed the league!) / Simon Vukcevic / Giovani Dos Santos (2.6m)
DLF Ruben Rochina / David Goodwillie / Yakubu
PCHR Carlos Fierro (1.3m) / Jermain Defoe (loan)

In total I've spent 52 million on players and sold 20.5 million worth of players all whilst trying to stay in the black and paying off the debt that blackburn are saddled with at the start of the game.

For any team you pick for this tactic its important to have a mean defence. I was unlucky in my second season that firstly I chose Kara as my covering CB when clearly Samba is quicker. Also Kara got injured which screwed me a little. This season I've conceded 18 in 16 games which is much better than previous seasons:

I also went for a youth policy rather than big names which helps when rotating squads as players you buy young and train for three years become HG players. This has helped me big time because I now have good quality young players that form my Europe team and cup teams and also give a breather to my league team.

The only downside (i'm on 12.0.4) patch is sometimes giving away leads and away results sometimes aren't good. I also find that aside from the obvious 4-2-3-1 formation, the AI does well with a 4-5-1 formation with 5 across the middle.

I've created a tactic that I use when trying to hang onto a result that has served me well this season:

View attachment 213283

Not saying it will work for everyone but it seems to have cut down on the amount of goals I concede late on whilst still being able to score.

For the two big signings I made I set the payment options to 48 months which is risky but if you keep track of your balance sheet you can usually get a feel for what you can afford to lose each month whilst still staying in profit (basic knowledge but one often overlooked).

I have a world class backroom staff and use Maestro Ugo's training schedules which result in regular messages saying player x has shown remarkable improvements!

I am still massively impressed with the author winning the league in the first season as wolves. Congrats for that. I'm just happy to be breaking into the top four at the moment.....

Tevez is apparently available for under 2 million so...wages aside...that might further strengthen my attacking options! The only position where I'm considering spending some money to improve is the BWM position. Both my current players are doing ok, both just under the 7.10 average rating mark but I need some more quality there methinks!

Good luck and congrats for an awesome tactic!

Wow, thanks for the feedback and the good details mate ;)
If you are looking for BWM, i would recommend you to sign Beram Kayal, not only he have a good BWM attributes but also he was a good passer of the ball and have a good creativity. The only thing that lacks from him is his off the ball attributes. Also, congratz for making another tactic that will keep your team play it tight at the back when trying to maintain the lead.

To all,

Happy New Year 2012.

Cheers.

Hello, your tactic is exelente offensively and generally good defensively but as it was said, the backs are often overtake by opposing wingers, even if I drop the line of defense or if I put them in automatic instead of attack. I was desperate to fix this problem ^ ^
I play with Bastia (French second division) and I have changed all the kicks (I thought I took too many goals on corner / free kicks and did not score enough)
Congratulations anyway and sorry for my English

I think I've hit on something with that shut up shop tactic. Scored against Man Utd at home then had a player sent off off on 45 mins.....switched to my sus tactic and held them off well for the win. Give it a go and see what you think...I'm sure you could tweak it and put your own stamp on it and release it as an addition to your already great main tactic. It has definitely earned me extra points since I created it!

Kayal is a good shout and is nearly always recommended by my scouts. Will look to secure him in the future.

Can I just ask that you further define your player requirement stats? Also I've bookmarked the following sites with info on PPM's which since I've implemented them have massively increased the effectiveness of both tactics!

Football Manager 2011 PPM Guide

Also maybe check this out as it may help refine your match prep guidelines:

FM12 Guide - Training & Match Preparation

I'd like to here from you as you refine your tactic further!

hello & thx for your tactics

it works great but i take so many goal

View attachment 214398

i play with auxerre and this is my team :
Sorin

Hengbart - Coulibaly - Anderson Martins - Ostrzolek

Traoré - Ndinga

Oliech ----- Jemaa

B.Sahar - Le Tallec

so whith a team like this, in the first season the results are good but i score a lot so if i take less goal i can be better.

what are the thing i miss ?

ps : sorry for my bad english i'm french, i hope u understand me

Sorry for the late reply, been a little bit busy lately with assignment and stuff ;)

If you are using the 12.0.4 patch, i'm afraid there's nothing you can do about it without disrupting the fluidity of the tactic, too bad :(

I really appreciate your effort mate, but i'm afraid i can't test your sub tactic atm, i'm a little bit busy with my final assignment right now. Why don't you upload it here and let the others tested it for you, seems there are lots of people who are using my tactic need another tactic that can reducing the impact of the hole in the back ;)

Anyway, will read and explain those 2 questions you were asking me for when i have the time, hope you don't mind ;)

Quick update and little bump for this tactic...

Won the treble with blackburn in my fourth season.....league, cup (sorry at work and can't remember which one it was FA or carling!) and champions league.

I know people have done better, not only with this tactic, but other tactics aswell so this isn't me bragging about how good I am, its me giving this tactic the royal thumbs up!

Great tactic! My only concern now is a long term replacement for Chris Samba! The rest of my team are still young!
