January

UEFA Champions League First Knockout Round draw:

Real Madrid v
West Brom

View attachment 460343

It would be my first return to the club since leaving for Schalke as a player.

FA Cup Third Round
Saturday 2nd January 2016

Prenton Park

Tranmere 1 - 5 West Brom
Mandzukic (20', 32', 90'), Toivonen (26', 68')

MOTM:
Mario Mandzukic

A nice five goal rout away from home today with Mario getting a hat-trick and a matchball although he was closely rivalled by Ola Toivonen for it. Tranmere are struggling in the Championship though so we was expecting a win.

Capital One Cup Semi Final First Leg
Tuesday 5th January 2016

Anfield

Liverpool 2 - 2 West Brom
Toivonen (41'), O.G (87')

MOTM:
Martin Skrtel

A good result at Anfield which we can bring to our ground and try beat them with the fans behind our back. I believe we possess enough quality to turn Liverpool over and reach the final.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 9th January 2016
The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Newcastle
Ecuele Manga (41'), Icardi (55'), Alonso (60')

MOTM:
Bruno Ecuele Manga

A great win against a solid, compact Newcastle team and also a first West Brom goal from the new signing Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan. He has been tipped for big things and scoring 11 in 17 for Inter this season shows why. We managed to get him so cheap as his contract was expiring at the end of the year but he is one to look out for.

Barclays Premier League
Tuesday 12th January 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Wigan
Mandzukic (2', 71'), Robben (57')

MOTM:
Mario Mandzukic

This game was complete domination if I've ever seen it, with 33 shots and 20 of them being on target I thought the score of 3-1 didn't justify our performance, or we just need to practice shooting in training.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 16th January 2016

Stamford Bridge

Chelsea 1 - 0 West Brom

MOTM:
Neil Taylor

We went down to a stunning performance from Chelsea, which sometimes as a manager you just have to hold your hand up and say there was nothing more we could of done and it was one of those days.

Capital One Cup Semi Final Second Leg
Tuesday 19th January 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 0 Liverpool (5-2 agg)
Mounier (20'), Mandzukic (70'), Honda (77')

MOTM:
Roman Eremenko

THATS IT!! We make it to our first major final as a manager. We played excellent today and took our chances well and defended with power, we came away with a fantastic result and a place in the final against Swansea.

FA Cup Fourth Round
Saturday 23rd January 2016
Portman Road

Ipswich 0 - 0 West Brom

MOTM:
David Wheater

We should be winning these FA Cup ties against lower opposition such as Ipswich but I think we was still suffering from a success hangover of reaching the final four days earlier. Nevertheless we will have another chance at home to dispose of Ipswich.

Barclays Premier League
Tuesday 26th January 2016

Goodison Park

Everton 3 - 4 West Brom
Robben (19'), Alonso (34', 75'), Icardi (89')

MOTM:
Xabi Alonso

A good win against a struggling Everton side but we conceded three cheap goals and two of them was to a 20 year old making his debut which was very sloppy and Everton are lurching in the relegation area so we know we could of defended much better.

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 31st January 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 1 Man Utd

MOTM:
Xabi Alonso

We lost by a narrow margin today and despite what the media or press say, I still think we are lacking real quality players which we cannot afford to pay for at the minute so we are investing heavily in the youth and we are trying to create our own.

Player Of The Month:

FA Cup Fourth Round Replay
Wednesday 3rd February 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Ipswich
Icardi (35', 60')

MOTM: Maruo Icardi

With a second string team out once again we manage to progress which is brilliant for everybody as the players not being used much are getting more gametime to show me how much they want to be part of first team plans.

FA Cup Fifth Round draw:
Bournemouth v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 6th February 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 0 Swansea
Mandzukic (13'), Robben (44')

MOTM: Ashley Richards

Hopefully a foreshadow of a result in the Capital One Cup final. Both the ex-Bayern men getting on the scoresheet for us today and sealing a comfortable win to keep us in the race for a Champions League spot.

Barclays Premier League
Tuesday 9th February 2016

KC Stadium

Hull 2 - 1 West Brom
Robben (30')

MOTM: Nathan Delfouneso

I can't believe we lost this game, Nathan Delfouneso will never have a game like that again in his life, he was simply unstoppable and got his brace for Hull and made us miss out on a massive 3 points in the hunt for a top four spot.

FA Cup Fifth Round
Saturday 13th February 2016

Dean Court

Bournemouth 2 - 2 West Brom
Icardi (10'), Mounier (16')

MOTM: Anthony Mounier

Absolutely disgusted. Heading into the last ten minutes 2-0 up and comfortable when every useless fu**er on the team decided to switch off and let Bournemouth jump back into the game and earn a replay. I let the players know after the game by basically destroying the changing room.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 20th February 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 2 Norwich
Halilovic (63')

MOTM: Adam Smith

I'm lost for words, I don't know how to react. We have Real Madrid in four days, one of the biggest teams in the world and we havn't won our past three against **** poor opposition, I am really worried about them coming here and embarrassing us.

UEFA Champions League First Knockout Round First Leg
Wednesday 24th February 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Real Madrid
Johnson (6'), Alonso (9')

MOTM: Neil Taylor

WOW!!! We came flying out of the blocks and hit Madrid with two quickfire goals which stunned them and nobody would have expected it with our recent form. I was praying we could keep a clean sheet going to the Bernabeu as I played there most of my life and I know how much the crowd can get behind the team. Atleast we go there with an advantage!!!

Capital One Cup Final
Sunday 28th February 2016

Wembley

West Brom 2 - 0 Swansea
Mandzukic (10'), Robben (62')

MOTM: Keisuke Honda

There is our first cup win!!!! We played excellent and didn't let the occasion get to us unlike Swansea who seemed abit nervous to be playing infront of such a large crowd. It was exact de ja vu of the league match with the same result and same scorers which was freaky but it must have been a sign.

FA Cup Fifth Round Replay
Wednesday 2nd March 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Bournemouth
Robben (18', 52', 57')

MOTM: Arjen Robben

The Dutch wizard has been on fire since joining us on a free transfer. I didn't even expect half of this from him but it seems he still has his best quality as he takes the matchball home with him today.

FA Cup Sixth Round draw:
Swansea v West Brom

FA Cup Sixth Round
Saturday 5th March 2016

Liberty Stadium

Swansea 0 - 2 West Brom
Mandzukic (46', 71')

MOTM: Mario Mandzukic

This guy just loves playing against Swansea, and it has been three same results in a row, Swansea must be sick of the sight of us, Mario was yet again exceptional in his all round play and deserved a hat-trick.

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 9th March 2016

Britannia Stadium

Stoke 0 - 3 West Brom
Icardi (1'), Mandzukic (41', 53')

MOTM: Mario Mandzukic

Both of the strikers on the scoresheet today which is delightful and Icardi is finding some form after his arrival from Inter. Yet another brace from Mario whos been excellent all year.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 12th March 2016
Villa Park

Aston Villa 0 - 2 West Brom
Mandzukic (79'), Robben (90')

MOTM: Mario Mandzukic

Mario is in the form of his life at the minute and nobody can get in the way of him. He is just turning games on their head and controlling them. We have yet another clean sheet which has improved massively from last season.

UEFA Champions League First Knockout Round Second Leg
Tuesday 15th March 2016

Santiago Bernabeu

Real Madrid 1 - 1 West Brom (2-3 agg)
Mandzukic (26'), Honda sent off

MOTM: Neil Taylor

WOW! Something I didn't expect whatsoever but that is why football is the beautiful game. What was even better was the whole of the Bernabeu acknowledged me and clapped us as a team off the team. That is what you call a classy football club that I spent the majority of my career playing for.

UEFA Champions League Quarter Final draw:
Man Utd v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 20th March 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3- 0 Sunderland
Mounier (29'), Icardi (52'), Doria (85')

MOTM: Bruno Ecuele Manga

It was a shock not to see Mario's name on the scoresheet but jokes aside we gave another solid performance which crushed Sunderland and we had a range of scorers today which is a good sign of a quality squad. Hopefully we can carry our form through to next month.

UEFA Champions League Quarter Final First Leg
Wednesday 30th March 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Man Utd
Alonso (60'), Johnson (74')

MOTM: Asier Illarramendi

This is becoming a fairytale!!! We take a lead to protect at Old Trafford but we could have had a clean sheet to take there if we didn't concede a last minute penalty. We cannot moan at all though because we won and as Fellaini was sent off he will not be available next game.

Dare we dream at The Hawthorns? We have a long month ahead of us.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 2nd April 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Man City
Doria (11'), Halilovic (47')

MOTM: Sergio Aguero

We made a trap and they fell into it perfectly! We sat back and City thought we was inviting pressure onto us and they had us on the ropes from early on but when we won the ball our midfield overloaded into the box which provided a jerk reaction from them and that is what won us the match.

UEFA Champions League Quarter Final Second Leg
Tuesday 5th April 2016

Old Trafford

Man Utd 1 - 1 West Brom (2-3 agg)
Icardi (2')

MOTM: Hugo Mallo

When we scored the early goal it meant United needed atleast three goals to take us to extra time and they didn't create much but it means we are going to the SEMI-FINALS of the Champions League and we will be one step away of the most glorious competitions in World Football.

UEFA Champions League Semi Final draw:
West Brom v AC Milan

FA Cup Semi Final
Sunday 10th April 2016

Wembley

Arsenal 0 - 0 West Brom (3-4 pens)

MOTM: Neil Taylor

We have reached another final this year! We can possibly get a triple if things carry on for us which no West Brom manager has every managed so I would go down in history. Penalties is a cruel way to decide a game but it has to be and we will meet Liverpool in the fnal.

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 13th April 2016

Craven Cottage

Fulham 2 - 1 West Brom
Mounier (48'), Alonso sent off

MOTM: Ivan Strinic

This is a sickening loss as the players are fatigued and breathless with the amount of games the FA are requiring them to play up to 3 matches a week with no concerns.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 16th April 2016

Anfield

Liverpool
1 - 1 West Brom
Icardi (50')

MOTM: Blaise Matuidi

This could possibly be used as a tester for the Capital One Cup final. Neither team won but there was plenty of chances to be taken at both ends which wasn't.

UEFA Champions League Semi Final First Leg
Tuesday 19th April 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 0 AC Milan

MOTM:
Guillerme Bellusci

Solid. We did well not to concede an away goal but we couldn't penetrate AC on the counter as they have a very, very fast defence. I'll have to re-think my strategy next time round when it comes to playing the Italians at the San Siro.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 23rd April 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 0 Reading
Halilovic (3'), Icardi (9', 16')

MOTM: Mauro Icardi

Three quickfire goals was enough to wrap this game up by the 20th minute for us, we could of gone flat out and tried to crush Reading even further but this late in the season we are playing catch up and need every single point we can get.

UEFA Champions League Semi Final Second Leg
Wednesday 27th April 2016

San Siro

AC Milan 3 - 1 West Brom (3-1 agg)
Icardi (37'), Alonso sent off

MOTM:
Lewis Holtby

The fairytale ends here, but we go out like champions. This year most of Europe has taken a look at West Brom and know they are now a force to be reckoned with. Two years ago somebody from Italy would look confused if you ask them who West Brom are, now you only have to go ask Real Madrid.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 30th April 2016

St Marys Stadium

Southampton 0 - 1 West Brom
Robben (16')

MOTM: Jack Hunt

We usually have a very tricky game against Southampton so I set up like we've been playing in Europe, let them come at us and pick them off on the counter, we only did it once but once was one enough to seal a colossal three points at St Marys.

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 4th May 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Tottenham
Halilovic (4'), Mallo (26')

MOTM: Steven Caulker

We did what we needed to and was solid, we managed to clinch a spot in the top four before our last game which takes the pressure off us and this seasons targets are reached, but we can finish between second and fourth so we will try and win our final game of the season to save the farce of qualifying round of the Champions League

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 8th May 2016
The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 0 Cardiff
Eremenko (51')

MOTM: Aron Gunnarsson

We end the season with a bang! Depending on results elsewhere will determine on where we finish in the league. Cardiff narrowly avoided relegation which I'm sure they will be delighted with. But where did we end up finishing?

Final League Table:

2nd is still a magnificent achievement. We may have won the league last year but nobody expected West Brom to fly out the blocks that year or how we would play, this year teams have a little knowledge on us but we still managed to finish in our original target of the top four. We now have a final to attend to

Liverpools Key Man:

View attachment 460229

Since joining in January, the Spanish man has scored 11 in 19 for Liverpool and dragged them up the table after a slow start in the league which saw Liverpool floating around the relegation area but I believe they have picked up an excellent player in Rodrigo and if they are to win anything today, it will be through him.

West Broms Key Man:

View attachment 460228

Doria has been a rock in the heart of the defence of West Brom since his arrival from Benfica two years ago, still at 21 he has time to mature but has showed real qualities when coming up against the best teams in the world such as Real Madrid and A.C. Milan.

The Game:

View attachment 460226

We have done the double with the cups and what a way to win it!!! After being 2-0 down and a man sent off everybody assumed the cup was Liverpools. Even after we clawed one back they went and scored again, the introduction of Mauro Icardi lifted everyone in the team and when we went to score two in the final ten minutes with ten men we was in dreamland. It was like Istanbul this time Liverpool being on the receiving end. We went to extra time which within five minutes, Bruno Ecuele Manga thumped home a lashing header from a Halilovic corner which proved enough for us to win the final in spectacular fashion.

Some good news the board presented to me after the game:

We have strengthened the squad and made alot of profit in transfer fees. It was hard to let Ecuele Manga go, but we brought in a younger talent in Kurt Zouma who is tipped for big things in the future. We also let players go who I thought would develop better than they have such as Kakuta, Cresswell and Casemiro. I'm looking forward to the strength in depth we have this
season and could go alot further this year.

Pre-Season Friendlies:

Leeds
5 - 1 West Brom

Crawley 1 - 2 West Brom
Stones (4'), Icardi (17')

West Brom 4 - 1 Marseille
Mounier (17'), Costa (38'), Ljajic (45+1'), Zouma (51')

We have done some solid business and despite the Leeds game which my assistant takes care of we have had a good pre-season and made sure we are ready for a busy season ahead of us.

Our first trophy of the season, hopefully the first of many. With the new additions we still need time to gel but we have alot more of a talented team this time round that can challenge for more.

We managed to sneak an early goal against Chelsea who didn't have a chance against us today, we've done over the League Champions twice in two games already and we have kept a clean sheet today which is the most pleasing thing.

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 0 West Ham
Ljajic (37'), Icardi (71', 81')

MOTM: Adem Ljajic

Another star game for the new man Ljajic, which he got his name on the scoresheet and two assists this game. We was also defensively solid, not allowing West Ham a single shot on target all game.

Stoke wanted to battle today, not play football. They received two red cards for their actions and made life a little easier for us which we should of expanded on and really got a goal fest but another clean sheet and a win continues our 100% start.

Barclays Premier League

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Southampton
Ljajic (7'), Icardi (9', 45+2')

MOTM:
Mauro Icardi

These two guys have started like sprinters out the blocks this season, both of them have netted quite a few already and showing no signs of stopping. We carry on our 100% start to the season.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 13th September 2016

VELTINS-arena

Schalke 1 - 2 West Brom
Hughes (8'), Ljajic (40'), Doria sent off

MOTM: Neil Taylor

We get our Champions League campaign underway with a victory in Germany. We got a silly sending off when Doria went lunging into the challenge two footed. He offers us quality at the back and we will miss that in future games. Youngster Will Hughes got his first goal for the club today.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 17th September 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 5 - 2 Hull
Pereyra (26'), Ljajic (44'), Doria (55'), Robben (73'), Douglas Costa (84')

MOTM:
Doria

Five different scorers on the sheet today which shows the amount of quality that flows through our team. We was behind by two goals at one stage but we kept going and hauled five back to show who the main dogs are in this league.

Capital One Cup Third Round
Tuesday 20th September 2016

Vale Park

Port Vale 0 - 4
West Brom
Johnson (3', 13', 69'), Zouma (67')

MOTM:
Adam Johnson

An expected result against lower opposition and available fringe players was given a chance. Johnson impressed by taking home the matchball and giving me a headache on a team selection

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 24th September 2016

Madejski Stadium

Reading 2 - 2 West Brom
Zouma (29'), Douglas Costa (61')

MOTM:
Neil Taylor

A big lot of disappointment coming away from the Madejski today, we was 2-0 up and in total control of the game until we conceded a stupid penalty which the defender could of stayed on his feet and opened the door for Reading which they accepted and scored an equaliser.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 28th September 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 2 Porto
Mallo (78')

MOTM:
Cedric Soares

Well we lost today to what can only be described as two wondergoals and any other day Porto wouldn't have scored those goals but it just happened to be us who it happened to and puts pressure on us to win our remaining games in the group.

I'm thinking a second league title is around the corner this season. Keep up the great work mate.

wow im impressed. West Brom in 1st.
Yeah I won the title during my first season, how is beyond me. Last season we was stronger but finished 2nd to Chelsea.

I'm thinking a second league title is around the corner this season. Keep up the great work mate.
Hopefully mate, been getting some bargains for players so there is only one direction the club can go.

The Hawthorns has been home to some excellent football recently.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 1st October 2016

Dean Court

Bournemouth 1 - 2 West Brom
Obiang (14'), Icardi (76')

MOTM: Doria

Alot closer than what I would have liked as we are now bridging a gap of quality in the Premier League between us and others. We should be dominating these games and not letting the opposition have a sniff.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 15th October 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Sunderland
Icardi (25', 60'), Douglas Costa (84')

MOTM: Doria

We improved on the performance from last time round but I still demand more from my players, we are winning but not putting in the quality of performances I know we are capable of. A positive that Icardi got a brace today though.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 19th October 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Vitesse
Icardi (5'), Pereyra (51'), Robben (68')

MOTM:
Roberto Pereyra

A victory which most expected, an early goal settled the nerves and gave us a platform to build on. We come in at half time having all the possession and I sent the players back out to get the job done which we did with two second half goals.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 22nd October 2016

New White Hart Lane

Tottenham 0 - 3
West Brom
Pereyra (33'), Icardi (71'), Douglas Costa (85')

MOTM:
Neil Taylor

What a fantastic away win for us today at Spurs, we was playing in the new stadium that had been constructed and it was a work of art but it wasn't enough to make them win against us as we beat them convincingly, they are our nearest competitors at the minute.

Capital One Cup Fourth Round
Tuesday 25th October 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Southampton (AET)
Halilovic (20'), Mounier (100')

MOTM:
Alen Halilovic

We got away with it today.. Only just. I always play a weakened team in the Capital One Cup but today I may have put a few too many squad players in and it took us till extra-time to complete the job which if we went out I would have taken the blame, but we progress to the quarters!!

Capital One Cup Quarter Final draw:
QPR v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 29th October 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 0 Man City
Icardi (4'), Hughes (22'), Zouma (27')

MOTM:
Neil Taylor

We continue our fantastic unbeaten run in the Premier League and latest to fall our victims was high spending Man City who's 89m spent this summer couldn't even produce a goal against us today. Three first half goals wrote them off completely.

Since his 1.2m move from Inter last year he's never looked back, chalking up 11 goals already this season it looks as he will be one of West Broms main players this year.

A phenominal away win in Europe tonight. We have put ourselves back on course to finish the group, if we beat Schalke then we have a very good chance.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 5th November 2016

Loftus Road

QPR 0 - 1 West Brom
Douglas Costa (90+1')

MOTM:
Douglas Costa

We used a get out of jail free card today after a last gasp goal from Douglas Costa, we created enough chances to win by an abudance but we didn't take any of them, it took an individual bit of excellence to win us this game.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 19th November 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Liverpool
Icardi (5'), Douglas Costa (41'), Pereyra (64')

MOTM: Blaise Matuidi

Beautiful football played tonight yet again from West Brom, We never looked like losing even when conceding against the run of play I had faith we would pull it back and win. Still undefeated in the league this year.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 23rd November 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 2 Schalke

MOTM: Benedikt Howedes

We was very poor today, and letting Schalke back in with a shout of qualifying. We need to get a result at Porto now to ensure we do qualify. If we win we could top the group but if we lose we could be eliminated.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 26th November 2016

Liberty Stadium

Swansea 2 - 0 West Brom

MOTM: Robbie Brady

We had become complacent in the league and let this one slip through our fingers, we had the chance to go and extend our lead at the top even further but our heads wasn't focused on the game. I made every player sit behind after the match and analyse where they went wrong.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 29th November 2016

Estadio do Dragao

Porto 3 - 4 West Brom
Douglas Costa (10', 50'), Icardi (16, 21)

MOTM: Douglas Costa

A great result tonight in Portugal and was enough to see us top the group. Despite being 4-1 up and cruising at one point the key thing is that we qualified, but we went one better by topping the group with a brace from Douglas Costa and Mauro Icardi.

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 2 Norwich

MOTM:
Sam Byram

We was beaten today by a defensive Norwich team who scored two goals from set pieces. I guess when your luck isn't in things don't go your way but its hard to take another defeat on the chin like that.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 10th December 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Cardiff
Doria (26'), Pereyra (43'), Icardi (74')

MOTM: Doria

Vintage performance this time round from the lads who have done well to rebound back after two defeats in the league. Consistant scorer Icardi got his name on the sheet again and Doria and Pereyra also added to their accounts.

Capital One Cup Quarter Final
Tuesday 13th December 2016

Loftus Road

QPR 0 - 1 West Brom
Ljajic (66')

MOTM:
Neil Taylor

A single solitary goal was enough to put us through to the Semi-Finals and give us a good chance of defending the cup. Alot of younger players got another run out today and I'm keeping a keen eye on one or two for the future.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 17th December 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 0 Newcastle
Icardi (2', 16', 45')

MOTM:
Mauro Icardi

Well what can I say.. Individual excellence today from the Italian man who recently got his first call up and scored on his debut. Since the 1.2m move a year ago he has racked up 36 goals for us in all competitions and we have had the big big dogs sniffing around him but he is enjoying his football and improving all of the time.

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 21st December 2016

Craven Cottage

Fulham 0 - 1
West Brom
Robben (90+4')

MOTM:
Neil Taylor

A last gasp goal at Craven Cottage from the golden oldie Arjen Robben allowed us to take all three points home. We left it late like usual habits but we got there in the end!

Barclays Premier League
Monday 26th December 2016

Emirates Stadium

Arsenal 0 - 1 West Brom
Douglas Costa (87')

MOTM:
Gino Perruzi

With another late goal to seal our win it shows we are a team full of fitness and confidence to keep going to the end and never give in. We wanted the three points so bad and we got them thanks to a spectacular goal from Diego Costa.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 31st December 2016

The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 1 Man Utd
Johnson (72')

MOTM: Nick Powell

A credible draw today against Manchester United. We went into half time as a bore draw and no creative sparks whatsoever, with the introduction of Adam Johnson in the 71st minute it took him only 40 seconds to get his name on the scoresheet, a quality substitution but sadly was ruled out by a fantastic strike from Man Utd late on.
