Rafael Benitez sacked as Internazionale coach

On BBC Sport it says he will be sacked tomorrow as they are sorting out compensation.

Really late reply but meh,

Riera = £5.5mil + Finnin + Huge sell on fee
Johnson = 17.5mil!!!!!!!(ish) crazy for a defender that cant defend
Babel = waste of 11mil
Aquilani never did the job, hardly ever played = **** signing at 15mil(ish) + too much wages
"Josemi was ****" yes that is way i put him as a failed rafa transfer

You didnt even try to defend most of those transfers, just claimed they cost little. It is nearly as expensive to buy a player on a free nowadays compared to buying him straight out

I was clarifying them. We did, we paid 11 Mil for Johnson (we were already owed 7 Million from Pompey from the Crouch deal. We will make our money back on Babel though. Aquilani was always injured, hence he couldn't do the job. I agree Rafa made some bad transfers, but he made some very good ones.

I am not defending anything, as I have said I was clarifying most of them. And no it isn't, you pay a similar signing on fee to what you would of a normal player...

Benitez, 50, is currently on holiday in Liverpool as Inter have begun their winter break.

Legend haha. His son calls a sandwich a butty and all. Weird how he see's Liverpool as 'home' now :)

**** sake. Scott & CFC + others (mainly chelski fans) stop ******* trolling. & ben to an extent.
This isn't a Rafa versus Roy thread (Rafa wins hands down but meh, whatevs)
This is about whether Rafa has been sacked or not.

Behave, None of us where trolling, we where discussing in a maturish way the topic, It didn't go to all out insults until after i went offline, so i am not getting told that was trolling.

imo Rafa didnt build a good side, Ferguson, mourinho etc. did despite the odd mistake

they wernt just cheapish fringe players as i posted above ;)

You cannot compare their budgets with Rafa's... Sometimes Rafa had to bring in "rubbish fringe players" because of his lack of funds and our terribly poor depth.

Yeah that's what I heard, they don't want to pay him £5.5m compensation so are sorting something out..

Rafa never gets what he is owed in compensation haha.

He apparently got 4 million from Liverpool, and then the same from Inter, Not a bad year for him. Ey?

Obviously not but he could have had a fair bit more.

THIS JUST IN : RAFA SACKED BY EMAIL

Leonardo is in pole position for the Inter job after Rafael Benitez was reportedly sacked by email.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Benitez seems likely to leave the champions as his relations at club level have caused concern among the chiefs, despite Massimo Moratti claiming there was no drastic action in place on Tuesday night.

But Inter have now reportedly sacked Benitez by email after the club's lawyer sent him a note making it clear he was no longer required.

That leaves former AC Milan man Leonardo as favourite to come in and take the reins on a two-year deal.

Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti has also been linked with the job, but the Russian club have already said that their coach is staying.

don't bother posting things like this unless you actually have a decent source

He always said he wanted to return to Liverpool, he thinks of it as home, and his family do too, doubt he'll return, but if he did, he'd have success with NESV>

No chance he will get the pool job just now! i think if Hodgson gose martin o neil will be there main target!

I doubt the current squad would react to greatly to him coming back!

I cant see leonardo being asked to take the inter job either considering he is an AC milan Legend! i think the guy that is managing zenit just now will be there main target Spalleti or maybe someone along the lines of Frank Rijkaard!

anyway, tidy year for benitez, he's made a bit in being sacked

Rumours in the Metro is that... Rafa will sit down and talk to Blackburn Officials.

I think Kean pretty much already had the job? I get the feeling they want a puppet not a real manager..
