Rafael Benitez sacked as Internazionale coach

That's because you have your own personal agenda against the man.

And you have personal opinion about him which will be abit biased. Of corse this is deserved from a team who won the treble to this is dreadful. Now i just hope Capello takes the job and ***** off.

Half that team is injured and he has had to play youngsters like Bianbiany, Coutinho and Joel Obi. He's officially been sacked now, would like him back at Liverpool, highly doubt it will happen though.

Quite surprised he has gone tbf.
As Ben said, they have alot of injuries. It was always going to be tough to back up Jose's year with the injuries.

Looks like another big pay off for Rafa.

He took a lot less than what he could have from Liverpool because of our financial situation under the Yanks, top man :)

Just been doing some googling, and Yep, he has been sacked. Just seems very bizarre. Football is heading in the wrong direction, as teams are sacking managers, only short period of time when getting the job.

Fair play. He'll definitely look to get everything he can from Inter then if he missed out on some cash at 'Pool.

Not the best idea in the world, new manager is still going to have the same issues.

'Typical Italians' ;)

Probably, Inter have a decent bit of money so I imagine they will be happy to pay the full compensation package.

my Opinion Rafa Benitez Has not been the same Manager since his Right Hand man left Pako Ayestaran

weird decision, seems like Morratti is going to hold his money, but Rafa will get loads and loads of compensation

Slight chance of a reunion to the club he never finished what he started? Wishful thinking on my part!

He left the season before we came so close to winning the league.

MILAN - Just a short while ago, as he left the Saras offices, Inter president Massimo Moratti answered a few questions from the waiting journalists.

Here are his comments in full:

Mr Moratti, what was the outcome of your marathon meeting?
"There was no marathon meeting. I had my own business to attend to and other people met among themselves. I certainly didn't have a marathon meeting."

Is Rafa Benitez still the Inter coach?
"Yes, he is. In this precise moment he's the Inter coach, unless I'm mistaken."

Have you got anyone else in mind?
"No, there's no one else. I've heard and read about the supposed contact we've had with other coaches but the Club hasn't contacted anyone and won't until the current situation is cleared up."

So you haven't spoken to Leonardo?
"And when exactly, this evening?" (he smiles)

A few months ago...
"Come off it."

Taken from Inter website around 20mins ago.

At that precise moment. He won't still be there by tomorrow.

and hes managed to turn european champs into also rans in that short space of time

**** sake. It takes time to adjust to a new managers style of play, he has a lot of big players injured (if he stays) we will see how they finish the season.

Yet you want Roy out after the same amount of time.... Hypocritical that?

I heard it around 7am this morning through a news source in Milan, think we will both be proved right in the next few hours mate. I just hope its not another 'Ancelotti' saga from the other week, where it was all an internet rumour

Been fairly common knowledge in Liverpool for a few days now. Said it on here a couple of days back. Currently the issue is whether or not he's being sacked or whether Moratti can claim he effectively resigned.
