Went to the game last night and came home thinking that Sporting are a poor side, Djalo and Postiga looked decent at times but apart from that I wasn't impressed at all, and with the way Rangers started the second half I feel we could've ended the tie last night instead of conceding a sloppy goal.

Rangers will have to go on the attack from the kick-off in Lisbon, and i reckon that Sporting can take advantage of it. Rangers steady attack is sloppy. Rangers bases it european tactics on counter attacks and corners/free kicks, so, if sporting manages to hold onto the ball, the game should be in the pocket.
And i'm sorry, but sporting is no poorer than Rangers. In fact, if we had a manager with brains, we could have won that game with relative ease.

Rubbish. Rangers, if they play a decent striker instead of Forrest Gump then they will win. FACT. If they had a decent striker last night i.e. Jelavic, then you're side would be several goals down. Rangers bases it's tactics on counter attacks against bigger sides. Lisbon aren't a bigger side. You saw last night that they attacked constantly.

Rangers, IMO, are better than Lisbon, as are Celtic. Hearts are on par, I would sy, but both Celtic and Rangers are a bit off Porto and Benfica

Then Rangers are doomed. If i was managing Sporting, i'd tell them to retain possession, make the scots run, wait for them to open up space.. Dont forget that the clock runs in sporting's favor.

Id put djalo near Weir, and making a lot of passes into space for his run. Djalo is 10x quicker than weir, and would force him to commit a lot of fouls, and maybe a sending off.

But our manager is a complete moron, so Rangers still have a chance.

Last 2 times sporting played fiorentina, for 2009/10 season, CL final qualifying phase, were both draws, and on the first leg, both fiorentina's centrebacks should have been sent off. One of them punched Liedson and the ref gave him a yellow card (LOL), and the other should have been booked twice.. I even remember the ref's name: Viktor Kassai.

And you clearly haven't watched rangers enough to suggest that. What about 6-0 against motherwell ? :S

We were winning 2-1 with less one player with 15 minutes to go, and we were playing with 10 since the 50th minute. They should have had 1 player sent off with 5 minutes into the game, when he punched Liedson, and another one at the 60th minute.
And Sporting is clearly the team that is more harmed by referees decisions in Portugal, thats pure fact. You dont know how this works over here. True, Sporting should be able to overcome such adversities, but sometimes is just too **** much.

You see, here in Portugal, either the refs are in Pinto da Costa's pocket (Porto president), or they support Benfica, and they will do anything to protect them, like that time when the ref prolonged the game for 15 mins until benfica scored a goal. In Europe, it is rarer, but in that Fiorentina case, the ref SAW the punch, but gave a yellow card, when the correct sanction is a red card.

I will watch the video but quite frankly I dont care, What time in the match was that goal scored ? Who's to say you would have still went on to win the game. Oh and look and Messi's disallowed goal against Arsenal the other night which would have made it 2-0 are the referees against them too ??

Im over it. Been over it for a long time. But it was just an example of how sporting is harmed by refs.

When is pointing out referees deliberate mistakes to harm one's team arrogance? I admit that Sporting should have scored, but in fact, they DID, by scoring a LEGAL goal. the ref commited a deep mistake, that cause severe changes in the match's outcome.
