rishmanisation's English Premier League Chairman Game (FM16 Edition)

Newcastle club statement-

Newcastle can today announce the decision to part company with Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentinian manager won just 9 out of 28 games in charge of Newcastle, scoring a disappointing 30 goals and has led the side to 19th in the league so far this season. Kevin Keegan said "despite him being clearly a top manager things haven't worked for him here, the team have created lots of good chances but he hasn't got the team to score enough goals, which he must take a good bit of blame for after he decided himself to sell Ayoze Perez". Sassuolo manager Alberto Zaccheroni will take charge of Newcastle- bringing in a wealth of managerial experience and an exciting and different style of play. He is known for favouring a 3-4-3 formation throughout his career at clubs such as Juventus, Inter and AC Milan- where he won a Serie A title. He is expected to be backed heavily in the January window to build a side capable of playing in the new managers image.

Jury's still out on Allegri
After a very inconsistent start to the season, speculations are starting to build that Arsenal owner Jay-Z is considering the future of new manager Max Allergri. After another transfer bonanza funded by the American this summer, hopes are high for a very successful season, but a few narrow escapes and some shocking losses have the Arsenal fans doubting that Allegri is the right man for the job.
A loss in the unimportant Community Shield as well as a victory in the equally unimportant Euro Super Cup showed us that we struggled for consistancy from the start.
In the league, we've had narrow wins to Leicester, Swansea and West Brom, as well as a loss away at Old Trafford, and a shocking 0-1 loss, in a game we truly dominated, at home to Crystal Palace. Not exactly a brilliant start to our league defence. Our only good performance was away at QPR, hammering them 5-0.
In the Champions League, we've made a decent start. A draw away at Napoli is ok, and a convincing 4-0 hammering of Steaua means we now go into a double header with Barcelona with all to play for. We've also progressed in the Capital One Cup after a hard battle with Leicester.
Something positive about Allegri's team is that he's really getting the best out of our striking duo, Tevez and Sanchez. 6 goals in 10 games for Sanchez, and 7 goals for Tevez shows that they are a fearsome duo up front.

Signings
Having gotten rid of a lot of deadwood, and loaning out some very promising youngsters, our focus this summer was to strenghten key areas of the squad. Specifically, a new goalkeeper, central defender and a new left back. We spent a lot to achieve this, but we're very happy to have brought in two quality signings that are young, but already an integral part of our team. They are:

View attachment 176809
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen
The former BMG and Barcelona keeper, is a German international. At 24, he's still got 10 good years ahead of him, and has already become our first choice keeper. In fact, the faith in Ter Stegen is so strong, we've decided to sell last years #1, Petr Cech to Stoke.

Jose arrives from Valencia for a hefty sum, but at the age of 21, he's already on the verge of replacing Jordi Alba as Spain's first choice left back. That's saying a lot about the very talented youngster who arrives after a very successfull season for Valencia. He's your typical offensive wing back, with loads of pace, energy and technical quality, but he's not afraid of a tackle, and is also a good marker. We've got full faith that Gaya will be a world beater for at least another 10 years

View attachment 176805
John Stones
In the biggest deal of the window, we've decided to splash cash, as well as Brazilians, on perhaps the biggest English talent in world football. John is a commanding centre back who is also very good on the ball. This makes him perfect for the type of football we want to play. At 22, he's already been capped 19 times for England, and has already this season looked to be replacing the aging Per Mertesacker in our central defence. The fact that he can also cover at right back makes him very useful for us already this season. With Mertesacker probably into his last season at Arsenal, our future CB's look very promising with Stones, Rugani and Dier ready to fight for a starting spot next season.

In addition to these signings, we've picked up a couple of youngsters, and also brought in some depth in midfield. Athletico's Koke was somehow not favoured at the club, so we saw our chance to bring him in on loan. He's an all-action midfielder that suits our 3-man central midfield very well. Having already started 10 games this season, he looks like a key figure for us.
Allegri also brought in Davy Klaassen on deadline day, to rotate into midfield, attacking midfield and striker positions. The dutchman is a young versatile player with a great footballing mind. Hopefully he'll get some playing time, if not, perhaps a loan in January could be in the works.

Looking forward...
The next month will be key to Allegri's future. 4 winnable games in the league as well as the crucial double-header with Barcelona. Get the results right, and our season may well head in the right direction from here. Get it wrong, and heads may roll....

Michael Owen Thrilled With Start
View attachment 176702
Michael Owen has said he is very happy with how the season has started for them. This is because they are doing better than expected and as that makes the fans happy and as Michael Owen owns the club he is a fan and therefore he is happy with how the season has begun.

Wolves 2-1 Man City

Bamford 16, Wilson 51, Aguero 15

A good start to the season for us as we won the first game and the first game is at the start of the season and winning is good so it is a good start to the season, especially to come back and get the win against a side that did well last year.

View attachment 176696
With that quote Kenny Jackett had his team talk done for him and it was great to see Bamford and Wilson make goalscoring debuts.

Crystal Palace 1-3 Wolves

Wickham 51, Bamford 3,80 Denayer 47

It's good to see Bamford score because that is the job of the striker and so it is good that he does his job. Also again we got more goals than the other team and I feel that we tend to win games when we score more goals.

Barnsley 1-4 Wolves

Wabara 27, Davies o.g. 16, Rowe 18, Wilson 23,29

13 minutes saw 5 goals go in and we got four and as we got more of them at the end of the game we got into the next round. Wilson scored 2 goals to continue some good form since his move.

Tottenham 3-0 Wolves

Eriksen 26, Junuzovic 56, Harry Kane 86

We lose for the first time this season as we fail to score so we were unlikely to win and they score three goals so as they got three more they won.

Wolves 1-3 Chelsea

Bamford 29,
Cuadrado 41, Calleri 57, Oscar 75

After Bamford put us ahead it went downhill for us as we let in goals and letting in goals doesn't make us go uphill but, downhill and I don't want to keep going downhill and going downhill you can get momentum and we don't want downhill momentum but, uphill momentum.

Liverpool 3-0 Wolves

Markovic 14, Sturridge 23, 32

Again we let in three and it is hard to win when you let in three as you have to score four goals and that is challenge but, if you succeed you will win. Unless one of the goals is offside or counted out because of a foul then you won't. But, if the same happens to one of the other teams goals then you might still win.
Huddersfield 1-2 Wolves

Davidson 38, Wilson 7, 21An important win in the cup as we snap a three game losing streak. Wilson scored twice to help a slightly rotated side. It is good that a rotated side can win for us as it means that the top players can rest and are more likely to win if they are fit.

Wolves 2-1 Newcastle

Arbeloa 15, Bamford 62, Rooney 74

A good win for us and it is odd that Arebeloa scored as he is a right back and they rarely score possibly as they are never near the goal and rarely practice finishing but, he did score and we were able to win

Two good months for us and hopefully we can keep it up to do well as 9 points won't help us achieve our goals of surviving as other teams would get more than us. We want to avoid relegation so will need more points.

Micheal

Liverpool and Chelsea follow in third and fourth place respectively. Manchester City have somewhat recovered after a slow start and find themselves in 6th place, one place below QPR and one above Manchester United. Newcastle remain bottom of the table despite a change in manager and are really starting to look like Aston Villa last season.

Europa League

Sampdoria? Despite playing with 12 men (Durm had a shocker), Eriksen resuces us again.
Braga? Rhymes with lager, which they had a bit too much of before the game... 31% possession!
CS U Craiova? Hands up who's honestly heard of them... Nope, but we still beat them.

Top, blah blah blah. Making a habit of this!

Capital One Cup
It was left to us to do what no Chelsea team can ever do - beat Bradford. And we did it with our C team! (Dozzell, Sterling, Sutton, N'Jié, Valdés, Roco and Edwards... Nope, me neither).

United: We're coming for you!

P.S. If you didn't gather, I'm happy with how the season is going :P

Omg West Brom has 7 injuries... They're doing something wrong LOL

West Ham Season Update

With the new appointment of manager Ralf Rangnick coming in to replace Bilic due to him resigning. The club has improved in goals since his arrival which is what Dier was interested in. Rangnick was a career win % of 60% but since being at West Ham he has only had 46% which Dier is still currently happy about as he has bumped us up to 11th in the league.

Dier is happy with the performances from Pedro Obiang as he tops the assists table in the league at the moment with a total of 5 as well as 2 goals and a average of 81% pass completion. Enner Valencia tops the goals table of us at the moment with 5 goals after 12 games. Payet has been our rock this month smashing in 4 goals in 4 games and am surprised he was in the top 3 of player of the month but understands the quality of the premier league.

After a tough month against Wolves which we dominated and deserved the 3 points and Payet getting a brace helped out. Got "Hammered" by league leaders Spurs, smashed by Liverpool with only a 30% possession with former West Ham man Fazio getting an assist and POM against us(karma), knocked out of the Cap One cup by Chelsea beating us 3-0 and only 3 days later we faced them again in the league and took our chances and came out winner.

Next month we could get a possible 9 out of 9 points with games against Newcastle/Norwich/Palace which are all struggling close to relegation.

After months of speculation and widespread rumours, it seems like Liverpool have finally reached an agreement with bornexplorer for a a majority stake in the Premier League club. The club president John Cena has confirmed the news, and the contract papers will be signed at the end of the month.

Thornberry has signed a memorandum of understanding on one of his many visits to Liverpool in January.

Cena has been in talks with potential investors since the start of the season, but he was reluctant to sell the majority share. As it stands, Cena will fully step down as club’s president while Thornberry will act as from there on out as Chairman/Managing Director once the deal goes through.

Liverpool, the club has won more European and domestic trophies than any other English team with five European Cups, three UEFA Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, 18 League titles, seven FA Cups, a record eight League Cups, and 15 FA Community Shields., the winner of seven European titles, are not exactly the beacon of excellence and quality they once were. Iconic players like Alan Hansen, Graeme Souness, Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish, Steve McMannan, Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush, Michael Owen, and the list goes on. Today, Liverpool is just a pale imitation of their old glory. They have fallen on hard times in recent years.

The past few years have been utterly frustrating for the Red army; the club not only have dropped out of Europe’s elite, but have become a laughing stock in England, wandering somewhere in the below the Champions League places

This season, the club have spent very little, though they still have began the season in reach of the Champions League places, and dare I say, the title. Make no mistake, Liverpool are a huge team with a global fan base, therefore, this deal holds paramount importance to the club’s future.

Already plans of building a new stadium have been discarded. After talks of relocating to a new stadium and even winning the tender to reconstruct the area on their former trade fair grounds in the city, it seems the interests have died down. Thornberry wasn't convinced by a move away from Anfield. The harsh truth is the owners feel the project may end up costing them much more than anticipated, and under Thornberry's rein they will be shifting their priorities to the domestic league title and looking to invest in youth as soon as possible, while the promise of an 80m transfer budget in January is really getting the red half of Merseyside strolling around the place with an exaggerated swagger

September & October Update.

A solid if not unremarkable start to our season and life under Pellegrini. We are still going and in contention in every competition which is important if Pellegrini is to hit his target of at least a trophy a season for the club.

Premier League

View attachment 175628
Although we are reasonably happy with our performances thus far in the Premier League, we simply cannot tolerate a quite frankly average Tottenham team sitting at the top of the table! We proved our superiority over Spurs in our 3-1 victory over them in September and remain determined to overhaul them in the league to continue perhaps the most intriguing rivalry of the game as the three major London clubs battle it out.

Champions League

View attachment 175627
A mixed bag in the Champions League so far as we thumped Olympiakos, earned a creditable draw with Bayern and suffered a really poor loss to Monaco. This is going to be a close one and Pellegrini needs to be aware that failure to qualify from the group stages of the Champions League is unacceptable, no matter how tough the group drawn is and what stage of redevelopment the squad is undergoing.

Capital One Cup

View attachment 175626
The defence of our Capital One Cup is off to a great start but is seriously going to be put to the test after a tough away draw against a City side who are starting to rediscover their form. Once again, potential meetings in the next round between Arsenal, Tottenham and ourselves continue to stoke the fires of this rivalry. I am aware I am doing a disservice to QPR, who have been outstanding this season but will need to kick on from here to join the rivalry.

Chelsea FC would like to announce that the club will be active in the January transfer market, intending to both sign and offload players so feel free to enquire about player availability.

As always we thank you for your support!

Oliver Queen & Felicity Smoak.
