Stoke September Update

This is the month to leave behind for all Stoke fans around the world. 5 out of 5 lossed games. But we chose to take a look on the good things instead.

- New record attendance vs Arsenal 38336, only 48 tickets from a sellout.
- Zlatan have made his first of many goals for this season
- Our U18 team are in the lead at the North group.
- The Stoke player Jens Dietrich is the best player in U18 and second best in the U21s, he has also made his first A team goal
- We have a goalcoring machine in our youth team named John Owusu. 14 goals in 18 games this season.

As you can se we have a bright future to wait, hopefully we don't have to wait long. That's it for Stoke September Update, make sure to buy your tickets for our next home game vs our rivals West Brom at Saturday 28th of October.

There's only one Unai Emery... and he won't be managing Spurs much longer at this rate :/

Away to Sunderland and goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and a Sergio Araujo penalty gave us all three points.
---------------
Away to Norwich and our keeper had a nightmare in the 3-0 defeat. To be honest our strikers had a mare as well as they only had 2 shots on target out of 13.
---------------
Back home after the cup game to play Q.P.R. and the strikers made up for being posted missing in previous league match. Two from Rudy Gestede and another from Sergio Araujo gave us a comfortable 3-0 win.
---------------
The last game of the month was against Man City at home and we lost a tight hard fought match by the only goal in the game.

Southampton were the visitors in the 3rd round tie at St. James' Park. Unfortunately they were also the victors as their two goals were enough to beat our opening strike by Bernard Mensah. Carlos Zambrano's straight red card costing us dearly.

September Review

We knew it was going to take time for Pep to settle in and we are very happy with the progress being made, despite being 7th in the league.

Premier League

Chelsea 0 - 2 Man United (Dybala, Lamela)

A disappointing loss to take, especially at the bridge, but United are a good side and this is a Chelsea team that are still very much finding their feet. We managed more shots on goal but struggled with possession and got punished.

Chelsea 0 - 1 Liverpool (Henderson)

This really was a poor performance as Liverpool grabbed a win at the bridge. Andreas Christensen showed his lack of experience by getting himself sent off as we were chasing the game. Two losses in a row to our direct opposition is a concern.

(Calleri x2) Chelsea 2 - 1 West Ham (Berahino)

Thats much more like it, a win in the London derby to get us back on track as young Jonothan Calleri struck twice in three minutes to seal a crucial win.

(Oscar, Matic) Chelsea 2 - 1 Wolves (Wilson)

Finally we dominate a game to our potential with both shots and possession going our way, even if the scoreline was a tad closer than

Capital One Cup

(Robben, Colkett) Chelsea 2 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday (Hayden)

It took extra time, but we sneak past Sheffield Wednesday and into the 4th round of the cup. An almost unrecognisable side played with players like Danny Jamieson, Trevoh Chalobah, Valentine Godwin, Lewis Baker, Charlie Colkett and Mario Pasalic getting a chance to shine. 59% possession suggests we did well, as do the 23 shots we had with 15 of those on target.

Champions League

Celtic 0 - 3 Chelsea (Digne x2, Ageruo)

A great start to our Champions League campaign as we demolish a poor Celtic side who could only must three shots on goal, none of which were on target. Everybody held their breath as Aguero came off with an injury but he turned out to be fine!

(Fabregas, Aguero, Toure, Augustinsson) Chelsea 4 - 1 FC Steaua (Krohn-Dehli)

Another great results as we flexed our muscles and clinically picked Steaua apart. 66% possession and another goal for Aguero are promising signs.

Player of the Month

It has been a fantastic month for Oscar who just pips Eden Hazard to our own player of the month award. 3 assists in his two Champions league games with an average rating of 8.9 were just too great to ignore. Well done Oscar!

Folks.. Sorry I have been travelling this weekend
Everton updates will be coming by tomorrow..

Manchester United August + September Update

So, let's start with transfers before we get into matches. More specifically, transfers. He offloaded the deadweight that is Sergi Romero to Brighton for £3.4m, and brought in a young German goalkeeper Luis Zwick to replace him. I'm happy with this. Young goalkeeper, decent enough for backup and on about £50k less a week than Romero was. Happy days! He also offloaded Darmian to PSG for £19m. Not a bad transfer. We had Danilo, Semedo and Darmian all at RB, so it makes sense to get rid of one. Now... The big talking point. Martial to Arsenal for £25m. I have mixed feelings about this deal. We didn't need him as Dybala is our first choice ST and we have James Wilson and a regen named Hewitt (who's 17 and actually better than Wilson :D), but it was a sale to Arsenal, one of our biggest title rivals... I think the fact that he went to Arsenal is the worst part!

However, Mourinho did bring in youngstersrs John Hewitt on a free from Bristol City (I think this is the Wonderkid that I got as my mystery box reward from last season?) and Miloslav Hajek from Slocacko for £3m. They're both 17 and have bags of potential. If any of you have a chance though, I'd recommend going onto the save and taking a look at John Hewitt. He's a right sided inside forward and can also play striker. He already has bags of ability and potential. I am immensely excited to see this guy come through.

Now, onto the games! We started the season with the European Super Cup and picked up a 2-1 win over BMG. Debutant Rodriguez and Nelson Semdo bagged us the goals.

In the Premier League we currently lie in 4th place, four points off top which is not bad. On the opening day of the season we entertained West Ham, only drawing 1-1 with Felipe Anderson scoring for us. Next we went away to Spurs and smashed them 3-1, goals from Rodriguez (two in three already!), Dybala and Varane securing us a good win. The next game at home to Liverpool... Let's not mention that. Back to winning ways the next week though with a 2-0 win over Sunderland thanks to a brace from Erik Lamela.

We started September off with a tricky game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Despite a 4th minute sending off of James Rodriguez, we still managed to pick up a 2-0 win with goals coming from Dybala and Erik Lamela. Chelsea, hang your heads in shame for that performance! We stayed on the road and travelled to Wolves, winning 3-1 with Lamela, Dybala and Young on the scoresheet. I honestly didn't think at this point in the chairman game I'd still have Ashley Young! We returned to Old Trafford after that and lost 2-0 to Norwich. I do have to commend Norwich though. They have made a fantastic start to the season. We finished September welcoming Brighton to Old Trafford, who we beat 3-1. Laporte, Dybala and Lamela bagged the goals.

Now, a quick Capital One Cup segment! We've only played the third round so far and were away to Championship side Wigan. We won 4-2. Rodrigo De Paul scored and Dele Alli got 2, on top of that Davide Posarelli scored, who was a summer signing from Grasshoppers. Another young player with plenty of room to grow! We play away to Aston Villa in the 4th round and I expect a win.

Finally, Champions League new have a fairly easy group with Schalks, Lazio and Panathinaikos. Our first Champions League game of the season was away to Schalke. It was a tough opening game, but we came out 2-1 winners with goals from Lamela and Varane in the space of two minutes. Our second game was slightly easier, at home to Lazio, and it showed. We won 3-0, a brace from Rodriguez and a goal from Danilo.

Player of the Two Months
It goes to club record signing James Rodriguez, and how could it not? Nine games played with four goals and two assists, but an average rating of 8.07. This guy is superb and, so far, is proving his worth. Hopefully I haven't jinxed this and it continues!

SEASON 3 - OCTOBER UPDATE

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

View attachment 163810
Manchester City and Arsenal continue their impressive starts to the season. Chelsea and Liverpool rise back into the top 4, while Man Utd, QPR and Norwich are hot on their heels. Tottenham are finally showing some signs of a fight as they enter the top 10 for the first time this season. Stoke, West Ham and Leicester continue to have miserable seasons as they find themselves languishing in the relegation zone, while Brighton have somehow managed to climb out.

All English teams are doing extremely impressively in the Champions League! Arsenal just need a point to qualify from their group. Man City's situation is slightly trickier but a win should be good enough to see them through. Man Utd and Chelsea are already through, and barring any complications, should easily win their groups.

Everton FC Club Announcement

Transfers

A quick recap of the season so far from Everton FC. There were quite a few exciting events for the Club as Sylvester Stallone looked to push Everton to compete with the top clubs. It was felt that a change was needed at the top and Bobby Martinez was axed. In came Gerardo Martino who Stallone believes can take Everton to the next level. How this pans out remains to be seen.

In terms of transfers, fans were excited to see Argentine International Gonzalo Higuain strutting his stuff at the Goodison. He was taken on loan from Napoli.
Also, the club finalized a deal to bring Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon to Goodison. The two signings have provided much to cheer for the Goodison faithful.

There were a few other signings.
Jonas came in to provide competition to Hihuain up front.
Ruben Neves was loaned from Porto.
Defenders Carrico, Brooks and Stefan Radu were brought in to bolster defence. It remains to be seen how these signings pan out.
Goalkeeper Mattia Perin was brought in from Genoa to provide competition in the goal.
Juanmi was brought in from West Brom for a fee of 7.5 Million which caused surprise among fans.

However, there were a couple of setbacks in terms of outgoings. Firmino had a fallout with the new Manager and was sold to Monaco for 34 Million. The club could not refuse an offer from Tottenham for Lukaku and off he went as well. Bittencourt was sold off to Dortmund.

In terms of transfers, Everton ended up making a profit of 50 Million Pounds. It is rumored that this money would be spent in January in case reinforcements are required.

Everton Summary - Premier League

Toffees - August update

PREMIER LEAGUE

Everton 2 - 0 Brighton

Solid Start. Goals from new signings Fischer and Jonas gave Toffees a good start for the season. Seamus Coleman was man of the match as he was a constant threat on the right side.

Citizens 1 - 0 Everton

Andre Gomes scored the only goal of the game which was dominated by City. We did well to keep it at one goal. It was not that we were bad, but City just had more quality to make the difference.

Everton 1 - 2 Gunners

Very even game. We were gutted to lose this out as we did enough to get at least a point. It was good to see Higuain get on scoresheet though. First of many to come hopefully.

Crystal Palace 3 - 1 Everton

Abysmal. Third straight loss. This was not expected but we just folded after Rene Krhin was sent off. It was an even game till then. Higuain was on scoresheet again. He needs to be in order for us to challenging with the big boys. We need to start picking up some points. Soon.

West Ham 0 - 1 Everton
Finally a win. Higuain on scoresheet again. We bossed the game and should have won by a bigger margin. Squad is finally gelling.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH:

Gonzalo Higuain.
With 3 goals in 3 games, it starts to look as if Higuain will be winning important points for Everton this season.

SEASON 3 - NOVEMBER UPDATE

English Premier League

View attachment 163559

Manchester City race away at the top of the table, and remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League. Heading into December, that is really impressive. Arsenal are seven points behind them in second place, but the major surprise is two points behind them in third, as Q.P.R have surged all the way up from sixth place. A rather topsy-turvy season continues as Chelsea fall out of the top 4 yet again, replaced by Manchester United. A resurgent Tottenham find themselves in sixth, while Liverpool have had a woeful month, falling all the way down to 8th place. Norwich remain impressive as they are in seventh. At the bottom of the table, Brighton are back in the drop zone, replacing Leicester. Stoke and West Ham remain stuck in there.

With the exception of Manchester City, all English teams have sealed qualification to the Round of 16! Arsenal and Chelsea have in fact won their groups and will be away from home in the first leg of their Round of 16 ties. Manchester City cannot win their group owing to inferior head-to-head against Barcelona, and will need to better BMG's result in their last game in order to progress. Manchester United and Lazio are both through, and will have a shootout for the top spot in the last round, although Lazio needs to win by at least 4 goals in order to be able to pip United to the top spot.
