All change at Chelsea!

With the departure of Pep Guardiola at the end of last season, a new era has now begun for Chelsea Football Club as we look to end our long wait for a Premier League title. Chairman Oliver Queen gave the thumbs up on a long awaited redevelopment of our Stamford Bridge ground. The stadium has now been expanded to 61,629 seats with state of the art training facilities and top youth and corporate facilities.

The second stage of the clubs redevelopment was the somewhat surprising signing of Brazilian manager Roger Machado who has taken over with immediate effect. Machado had previously enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Brazilan side Gremio before taking over as Brazil head coach, a position he held for just over a year. The board very much hope that Roger's enthusiasm and tactical know how can propel the club to future success.

Last but not least the board have made a few choice investments in the transfer market to supplement an already talented playing squad. While we acknowledge as a club we cannot match the spending power of the Manchester clubs, we are sure that victory will taste all the sweeter when it comes and is actually hard earned.

Among the new signings at the club are the giant Norweigan midfielder Kristoffer Ajer who joins from Dortmund, Jackson Martinez who joins from Atletico and David Luiz who joins from Arenal. Also joining the club are wonderkids Ancor Fernandez, Stanislav Machacek and Javier Diaz. Angel Correa has joined on loan for the season, while Roger Machado makes his first signings in the shape of Manolo Gabbiadini who enjoyed a marvellous spell last season at PSG.

One game, one win, one trophy for Roger Machado as we beat Arsenal 2-1 in the Community Shield! An excellent start to the season!

A solid start for Machado as he begins his first ever Premier League campaign. We struggled slightly away from home, including a disappointing loss to Liverpool and a draw against our bogey team Stoke!

At the earliest stages of this new season we are right in the pack which is all I ask for at the moment, with a massive game against Arsenal next up!

We managed to destroy Young Boys in the qualification rounds of the Champions League without conceding a single goal, we then went on to claim an extremely impressive win in our first group stage match against PSG. It's still going to be a tough group though with some good sides and quite a bit of travelling to do.

Disaster in the Capital One Cup as we are knocked out in the 3rd round by Championship side Swansea! Machado fielded a very much second string side which is fair enough as he was told by the board that this competition is of no importance.

WBA TRANSFER ROUND-UP

Serge Gnarby - Great winger who was here on loan thr first season, now joins permanently.

Tin Jedvaj - Young enough, experienced enough the Croatian centre defender comes in to make us stronger at the back.

Marco Asensio - The spanish CAM comes on loan, must be one of our best players, hes like the next Özil, yet to prove

Even tho we started the season terribly we believe we got some more fuel in the tank!

Solid start by David. Hopefully we move up the table soon. Top 6 is a must. Cup runs would be nice too.

Chelsea appoint Villas-Boas

View attachment 145179
Chelsea are delighted to confirm the appointment of Southampton manager Andre Villas-Boas on a long term contract for a second spell at the club. Chelsea would like to put on record our gratitude for Roger Machado and what he has done so far this season, but the club felt we could not pass up this opportunity for such a talented and promising manager. The change in management will be effective immediately as the blues look to get back into the title race.

The deal to bring Villas-Boas to the bride will see Juan Bernat, Matias Kranevitter and Manolo Gabbiadini move to Southampton in the January transfer window. The Chelsea board would also like to put on record their gratitude to the management of Southampton for making this deal possible.

November

An excellent start to AVB's 2nd reign as Chelsea manager as we go four games unbeaten in the league, only conceding one goal to bottom of the table Hull who fought for their lives for that point. With the goals starting to fly in as well, the future is looking bright for Chelsea.

In further news AVB has also secured our place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League by picking up a convincing 3-0 in over Kobenhavn, although we lost to PSG in the next game, we can still secure top of the group by beating Dynamo Kyiv in our last match.

Its really good to see our attacking players playing with some real intent and all of them are doing remarkably well in the stats department. A front line of Hazard, Oscar and Cuadrado playing behind Aguero up top has become a familiar sight to Stamford Bridge over the past couple of seasons and the partnerships seem to be flourishing.

Hopefully as AVB continues to put his own mark on things, team morale will improve and that in itself will help consistency and boost our performance levels!

Lets keep cheering the lads on!

Faithfully.

Oliver Queen.

Joining

Richman please could you add me to the waiting list. I have been reading this thread for the past two or three days and am absolutely loving it and would love to join!

I won't be able to do another update for at least another week or so. Really busy in life at the moment.

Arsenal and United are completely dominating the league though! Nothing can stand in their way :p
