Roy Hodgson is not a quality manager. He has won honours in Scandanavia, whoop de ******* doo.

He guided Fulham to a European Final, Where was your Liverpool team at this time ? With all them star players you have ?? he done better with less ;)

Just got to hope Dalglish gives our youth a chance. Kelly, Pacheco, Robinson, Amoo, Ince Etc all deserving of more a chance.

The fans backed him but everyone knew he was the wrong appointment. Great summer business? Sold Mascherano, brought in Poulsen? Let Insua and Aquilani go out on loan, bought Konchesky and Meireles only to play on the wing?

Mascherano was sold above his head by H & G. Poulsen wasnt his replacement, he used the Percentage he got from Mascherano to sign Meireles, J.Cole you all thought that was a good signing at the time, and for zero, whilst he has had a difficult start, he will turn it around.

Ok, but at the end of the day... It is the footballers who are on the pitch, even if he has no sense in management (which he clearly does) You have experienced players who should know their roles whether they are told or not.

Woy bought Hangeland (sp) and I will forever praise him for that, one of the signings of the last few years.

that's right bro. Pacheco,Jonjo were massive talents. don't waste it Kenny.
in fact,Jonjo now was my captain in my game. year 2017.

bring back Insua,Aquilani.
left back this season a nightmare compared to last season when Insua plays.
Konchesky looks afraid to attacks, and Aurelio an injury-prone.

Aquilani can give more creativity in midfield. Meireles and Gerrard alone not enough.

Exactly, if he can't do it at a big club, he is not a quality manager. It's like calling Sam Allardyce a quality manager.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHA...

Seriously kid, where do you have the money to buy hulk? your daddy wil pay for him? LOOOL!!!!!! please dont leave in dream land.

Andre Villas Boas and Hulk, none of them will go to Liverpool. I know you wish, but it wont happen ;).

Ummmm perhaps the Billionaire owner of our club could find the money, FSG did recently pay $130 million for 2 players for the red socks, i don't doubt for a second that we have the money to buy players.

Ok mate so heres a perfect example of a Quality manager who never done it at a big club, although its a bit different in terms of this guy is a legend and made the clubs he was at big but it was with small clubs so the arguement is a bit void I agree but....

Brian Clough.

He was great at the small clubs and went to the biggest club in england and flopped, albeit it was the way he went about things, but still flopped. Maybe Roy can't handle the pressure which is fair enough but It's not asif liverpool were exactly collecting trophys and winning games easily for the past few seasons.

Yes he was the wrong person to take the job. However who want's to take the job ? A job where Gerrard and Carra aren't going to be around much longer, So who knows then when Stevie goes if Fernando will still be there, And then what happens ? You have now got to look past the day were Liverpool where one of the greatest teams in the world as at this moment in time you now no longer are. Its a hard job for ANY manager to turn it around for Liverpool IMO.

I actually love it! Some of you think Liverpool are going to get relegated, some of you think Liverpool have fallen apart have 4 semi decent players the rest are poor, and some of you actually think Roy would have been a success at Liverpool.

Do some research, Roy had a win percentage of 35% at Liverpool His Career away record for the league is
1997/98 – Blackburn Rovers - 5 Away wins – Finished 6th
1998/99 – Blackburn Rovers – 0 Away wins – Sacked when 20th
2007/08 – Fulham – 3 Away wins – Finished 17th
2008/09 – Fulham – 3 Away wins – Finished 7th
2009/10 – Fulham – 1 Away win – Finished 12th
2010/11 – Liverpool – 1 Away win – Sacked when 12th

These stats are not good enough for a manager of a top team, Yes i said it a top team. which we are. Now i agree Roy is a good manager you dont spend 30 odd years dossing around and he achieved good things at Fulham but he was way out of his depth at Liverpool, couldnt hand the expectations and didnt get the tactics right. I thank him for his hard work, he did his best but it didnt work out and i wish him the best for the future.

For those of you saying our team is full of useless rubbish, we have Reina, Gerrard, Torres, Merieles and agger who are all world class. Carragher. Lucas, Skrtel, Johnson, Aurelio, Maxi, Kuyt, Babel who are decent. We have promising young players in Pacheco, Kelly, Shelvey, Suso, Wilson. I do agree the squad is weak we have no real back up RB lack of decent cover for any position really. This will be my last post on this because i dont want to argue i just want to focus on supporting the team now and forgetting the negativity surronding Hodgsons time here.

Also Dalglish hasnt been brought in as a wonder cure, everyone knows the risk involved.

Thanks for your time i hope all your teams do well in the Fa cup or league matches :)

=stewy doyle;892612]shut up ya hun scumbag btw great result against celtic the other dayXD

Brian Clough made Nottingham Forest a massive club, just like Shankly made Liverpool one and Ferguson made United one. Roy hasn't joined Fulham and made them massive, he flopped at Blackburn and has done the same at Liverpool. I think people forget we were in touching distance of the title the season before last...

I am sure Rangnick, Villas Boas, Dalglish (full-time), Benitez and many other very good managers would be happy to take the managerial spot here. That is what the owners are trying to counter with money being poured into the long-term future of the club and new young players, which we haven't been developing nearly good enough. Liverpool is a long-term project and I am sure a young manager like Villas Boas would love to come here and make Liverpool a great team again.

Also why do Liverpool fans get branded as living in the past? We know we're not one of the greatest teams in the world, I've known since I was born it might be a long time until we make our way back to the top. A lot of work has to be done, but if it is done in the right way by the right people, we will be at the top again, eventually.

Hodgson didn't sign jovanovic.. he had already signed a pre-contract towards the end of last season when benitez was still in charge.. remember?

I know but it is still a quality signing, whehehe :P

Here in Belgium he played good, sometimes, but the premier league is an whole other level

Fair enough mate Agree with what you said, As I said with Clough it was a kind of different debate due to the fact hes just well Brian Clough. I'm not saying Roy is world class but I think hes a quality manager maybe only in his field of what he does though. I just don't know whats going to happen when Stevie G goes thats what I'm interested in seeing the future without him as he has carried the team for so long. I'd like to see liverpool up there again because you wan't more teams challenging and as a UTD fan it makes the rivalry so much better. Because the games don't really mean as much anymore if Utd are challenging title and Liverpool aren't

This debate about Hodgson being/ not being a quality manager is irelevant now.

The fact of the matter is that he made a quite awfull mess of things in the Liverpool job - tactically & man-management-wise. He made some terrible forays into the transfer market & his media-savvy was bordering on the bizarre.

I would suggest his previous reputation, gained largely from his european escapade last season, has been destroyed now; I wouldn't expect him to be back in management any time soon.

I saw a few people say they think Roy should have been given more time, they give him twice what he asked for, and failed to deliver.

So happy he has finally gone now. Liverpool my fav Prem team so hopefully Daglish can't get them playing for the shirt and get them in the euro places. Hopefully he is able to bring in a couple good players to help bolster the squad

Don't worry, i'm sure Hodgson has given the team sheet and formation to King Kenny.
