I remember when "KK" was in charge of Newcastle, and after playing stevenage in FA in 98, complained about the pitch and the ball being too bouncy. Wonder if he's got another corker for when they get gubbed of Man Utd. But in all seriousness, Hodgson is a scapegoat. Inherited some rather **** players, then 6 months later, the board give in to fan demands and get Dalglish in. Stop dwelling in nostalgia, and face facts. The club are no longer top 4 or title contenders. Hodgson has been treated like **** and I do feel sorry for him. 6 months is not long enough. And why do Liverpool deserve a big name manager, when they are no longer a big club. Now awaiting pelters.........

If you don't want to read it that's fine, but Zebedee is arguably the most knowledgeable person on this forum.

Okay, it's just everywhere I look in relation to Liverpool's financial documents, the word loss seems to be coming up a lot. That's all.

How can you possibly compare a 33 year old, in his first job with an Manager who hasnt managed for 15 odd years? He can try to keep up to date, but there is nothing like the real thing, just like any form of work.... You changed your tune anyway, a few days, ago you said Kenny wasn't who you wanted in charge....?

Because it's becoming accustomed to the modern game no matter how old you are.

I'd love to see where I was quoted saying that? I probably said there are better candidates out there, but not that I didn't want him. I do think I remember saying that I wouldn't mind Kenny in on a caretaker basis till the end of the season, however.

I remember you saying somewhere, that you didn't think Kenny was the Answer... I try to look through the millions of Liverpool threads for it, when i get time, Darling.

But he has been out of the modern game for sooo long.

Hodgson - scapegoat. Oh dear. He's been sacked and rightly so. Yes the squad isn't what it used to be but its the tactics that he has implemented that have really undone us this year.

No longer a big club - Pahahahaha. If you said we were no longer a great side etc, then I'd agree. But to say we are no longer a big club is nonsense. Us and the mancs are still the biggest clubs in England and what you've posted above just stinks of typical Blueshite bitterness.

Since then new owners have come in mate and wiped the debt.

I thought he said kenny wasnt the long term answer. Which is true IMO.

He isn't the long term answer, I've never wanted him to come back managing permantly, but have no objections on an interim basis.

Ahh welll, none of us know what''l happen, so let's just wait and see and watch a cracking match tomorrow babes

I hope all the so called Liverpool fans are very proud of yourselves...call yourselves the greatest fans in the world.....haha

yous are a disgrace!!

"Rafa out" "Yanks out" "Roy out" When is it all going to stop??

after Man Utd **** yous in FA cup will it be "Kenny out"??

funny this coming from a gers fan...the worst fans in europe after all

not even mourinho could win anything with this liverpool squad its average at best.Gerrard is the only class act and torres when he feels like it! there squad needs serious investment.

Not quite debt free, there is 37 million of stadium debt in place.

If he did say that, then i may be mistaken i will have a look through later, and if that is the case, Alex can expect a grovelling apology via MSN with a Make up **** afterwards. ;)

I feel sorry for him in the fact that the fans were never behind him in the first place. It was almost as if the Liverpool fans from the start was like he isen't fit enough to manage us and thats not fair on the man.

Couldn't agree more, absolutely spot on.

Sums it all up when only opposition fans are the ones sticking up for him...

Okay, it's just everywhere I look in relation to Liverpool's financial documents, the word loss seems to be coming up a lot. That's all.

The loss in the last accounts was solely down to the interest payments coming out. Having that amount of interest to pay was unsustainable for the club, let alone then trying to pay off the principle.

Currently, the only debt on the club is the one used for stadium development and day-to-day expenses rather than the full weight of the massive purchase debt plus the additional refinancing from further up H&Gs ponzi scheme and the banks.

Best way I can think to draw a comparison is someone finally having cleared the massive loan they took out to buy a car. Once they've done it, that money then becomes available for them to spend on jelly babies or whatever every month.

The full accounts are releaseed every year from Company House and cost a pound for you to access per company. They are one year out of date, although contain information which is applicable closer to the time. What I've done is accounted for the known expenses and increases in revenue the club has had since the last accounts. It comes to around £70m a season. You could argue that there will be additional costs - I haven't taken off the cost of, say, Carra's new contract which may well be an additional £1m a season, but I'll be in the right ballpark. It's why the whole league should be very, very worried if the Mancs ever get rid of the Glazers and when the Arsenal finally finish paying off their stadium debt - the new financial rules will mean that those two clubs will be at a massive financial advantage. Almost uncatchable. It's why the Spuds want the Olympic Stadium at a bargain price rather than putting themselves in debt to buy their own stadium. It's why stadium expansion is being discussed at Liverpool. It's why Chelsea are up **** creek without continuing and sustained success on all fronts. It's why City's owners have been spending money like water over the past couple of seasons before the rules kick in. And it's why Lerner at Villa has given up trying to compete.

Not bitterness, just voicing opinion. There's been a transition now in the powerhouses of football simple as. Hardly bitter. I know we face a potential relegation battle, and every club has a **** season. Man Utd will have one at some point, Chelsea are having a slight mare, Arsenal or on the rise, It's a fact. But the bottom line, clubs used to be very loyal to their managers, now they make knee jerk reactions. Why should I be bitter anyway. We've sampled Europe, made an FA Cup Final. This seasons been **** for us yeah. But that's football. It happens.

i did at first, but when you are 4 months in and still playing football that is actuallt detrimental to your sides strengths then you deserve everything you get
