Transfer round up

A quieter second chance window, with only a few clubs choosing to strengthen further. Here are some of the top deals of the second window, not necessarily the most expensive but the most intriguing.

5. Marquinhos - £25 mil - £55k pw - Everton
Marquinhos makes the move to Everton to replace the outgoing John Stones in what looks like a fantastic piece of business. The young Brazilian should be a mainstay of the Everton defence for years to come!

View attachment 164625

4. Zlatan Ibrahimovic - £11.25 mil - Stoke
It's happened again! Zlatan makes the move to Stoke to prove that he can do it on a rainy Thursday night! If he can produce the goals then perhaps Stoke should be tipped for a top 7 finish?

View attachment 164624

3. Oscar - £30 mil - Liverpool
This is my own personal transfer of the season! Liverpool are looking like a real force now! The prospect of Oscar playing in front of Kovacic with Coutinho out on the left is positively mouth watering. The move could shape the very future of the Premier League.

View attachment 164623

2. Romelu Lukaku - £25 mil + Wayne Rooney/Marouane Fellaini - Manchester United
Romelu Lukaku moves to Old Trafford as a direct replacement for Wayne Rooney. Yet another fantastic piece of business from Rish this time, as the big belgian could be the perfect foil for Neymar.

View attachment 164622

1. Wayne Rooney - Part ex - Everton
He's back where it all began! Wayne Rooney returns to Everton as part of the deal that took Lukaku to Man United. Can he recapture any sort of form? He has been off his game for a long time now, perhaps a move home is exactly what he needs.

Community Shield

The season kicks off in style with a London derby in the Community Shield, which Chelsea lift thanks to a single Eden Hazard goal. The reigning champions of England are off to a terrific start. Congratulations Chelsea!!

It appears to be a weekend for shocks as the Premier League kicks off! Aston Villa hold out for a memorable win over 10 man Man City, Southampton beat Arsenal thanks to former Arsenal man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Watford hold Chelsea thanks to Carlos Tevez and Man United thump Liverpool at Anfield to get them off to the perfect start.

Gameweek 2

A much more normal week in the Premiership as the only real upset comes with Leicester beating Tottenham! Vardy and Long providing too much pace on the counter for Spurs to cope with. There are wins for Arsenal, Chelsea, United, Liverpool and City and there is a big win for Bournemouth against fellow promoted side Norwich. Zlatan has his first goal for Stoke but it isnt enough to get anything against Sunderland, and Znik is at it again as Watford edge past Swansea away from home. Wayne Rooney has his first goal back at Everton as they beat Aston Villa.

Plenty to talk about this week, starting with West Ham beating Chelsea in the derby following a Terry red card! Man United are looking ominous as they breeze past Sunderland while Kovacic is making himself right at home at Liverpool as his brace earns them the win against West Brom. City and Arsenal play out an entertaining draw while Watford and Southampton both record comfortable wins. Everton new boys Cazorla and Ings both score to earn them a win against Newcastle and Leicester are at it again, beating Bournemouth.

Dybala and Mane both hit the scoresheet as Arsenal beat a solid Everton side. A brace from Schweinsteiger is enough to help United see off Tottenham , Chelsea and City play out a draw and Leicester continue their fantastic form by beating Watford thanks to Okazaki and Vardy. Southampton continue their good form by eding a youthful Norwich side and Zlatan earns Stoke a point against Bournemouth. Oscar nets for Liverpool to continue their good form and Crystal Palace pick up a good win over West Brom.

Table

Perfect starts for both United and Leicester as Vardy and Neymar show their class. Southampton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Watford are looking competitive, while Norwich remain the only side in the table without a point. A shock to see Stoke down at the bottom of the table but it is very early days yet in a table that doesnt mean much.

League Cup

View attachment 164587
The League cup got under way and we have some shocks already! Bournemouth lost out to MK Dons, Sunderland are knocked out on penalties by Port Vale and Watford are put out of the cup by Gillingham! There are however good wins for Palace, Everton, Leicester, Newcastle and others.

Champions League

View attachment 164580
View attachment 164579
Arsenal and City draw nice groups and should have no problems qualifying out of them, however Chelsea have an awful group, knowing they have to beat either Porto or Roma to qualify, while Man Utd will have to contend with Barcelona in their group, with Neymar heading back to face his former club!

Europa League

Southampton manage to get through the qualifiers with no difficulty whatsoever. Fairly simple groups for everybody in the Europa League, although Liverpool Vs Villareal and Southampton Vs Atletic Bilbao look tasty.

Score 1 for the Blues! Take that Lewie! Now to sort the league form out...

Stoke have a ghost with the team in the beginning of every season :P

Score 1 for the Blues! Take that Lewie! Now to sort the league form out...

Well we are on better form (5 points behind Man Utd already...)

1-1

EDIT - And who has the easier CL group?

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea.

Crystal palace hire controversial faccist Paulo Di Canio as manager.
c2e252be2d377c4d2cccb335e203cede.jpg

Di canio has a large tattoo showing his support for faccism and has said former Italian dictator Mussolini was "simply misunderstood". When talking about the appointment jay said " there are some right ***** in control in this league such as David Cameron and vinnie Jones seems to think he's the alpha male in this league, not any more he's not. Paolo is a true fighter and he'll put that hard man wannabe right back in his place. Whilst I was sorting mark Donovan out with rizla and ting he suggested I hire him so I hired a pedalo out, went to Italy and spoke to him then hired him- it's that simple." He then spoke about a quiet window at palace " quality over quantity certainly. Benteke already has 3 in 4 games and was a steal at 15 million. Juanmi was just 4 million and won't have as much of an immediate impact but he was a reasonably risk free signing. Lovren has also joined for 8 million to add steel to our defence.Simon is disappointed we didn't get pogba to take his title of worst haircut at the club from him but at least he doesn't **** kids like Will" jay was then heard in the background discussing the signing of Adam Johnson to make will feel less left out.

It was a frantic summer for Southampton FC as our ownership began the overhaul of the club to realise our ambitions of being a regular in European football. One area of the club that saw extensive work being done was the first team playing squad, he is a quick recap of the deals made by the club.

Players in

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain - £1 mil + Part ex
Calum Chambers - Part ex
Daniel Amartey - £3 mil + Part ex
Mario Gotze - Loan
Denis Praet - £3.7 mil
Terrence Kongolo - £4.5 mil
Jonothan Calleri - £3.5 mil
Lincoln - £400k
Andrija Zivkovic - £2.5 mil

Total spend - £18.6 mil

The club spent the first part of the window working closely with Arsenal in a double deal that saw Sadio Mane and James Ward-Prowse leave the club in return for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Calum Chambers and £8.5 million. Both Alex and Calum came through the academy system here at the club and we are confident they can fit right back in and are delighted to welcome them back.

Mario Gotze was a real coup for the club as the unfavoured German playmaker joins us for the season on loan from Bayern. Daniel Amartey joins to add some depth in the midfield with Shane Long and a couple of million going the other way. Terrence Kongolo comes in as a promising youth prospect to shore up the defence and Denis Praet gives us some more tremendous potential and versatility, with him being able to play CM, LM and CAM.

The club then looked to the future with the signings of Jonothan Calleri, Andrija Zivkovic and Lincoln. All three attacking players are already part of the squad and we have high hopes they can have successful careers with us.

Players out

Sadio Mane - Part ex
James Ward-Prowse - £9.5 mil + part ex
Shane Long - £3 mil + part ex
Juanmi - £4 mil

Total income - £16.5 mil

We are disappointed that Sadio Mane publicly announced his intention to leave, and rather than letting his petulance disrupt the rest of the squad we made the decision to sell. We are very happy to have been able to get the Ox back as part of the deal. In the case of Ward-Prowse, Arsenal came in with an offer we coldnt refuse, with Calum Chambers being able to play CB and RB, and almost £10 mil which we needed to begin reshaping our squad.

Shane Long was deemed expendable with Graziano Pelle, Charlie Austin, Jay Rodriguez and now Jonothan Calleri all able to play up front, and Juanmi was let go for a reasonably low fee as he didnt feature in any of our plans and would have held up the development of some of our younger players.

Competitions

View attachment 164538
It has been a fantastic start to the season for the club, as we sit 3rd in the Premier League and work our way through four matches of qualifying for the Europa League.

View attachment 164537
The opening day win over Arsenal was a particular highlight of our start to the season, along with the 3-0 win over Swansea. Alex Chamberlain has fitted back in just fine, managing a run of three goals in four games, while Calum Chambers and Mario Gotze have also been in fine form. It is also great to see young Jonathan Calleri getting a start against Norwich and rewarding Koeman's faith with a goal.

Everton Transfers

Beckham spends big

Everton have signed 14 players during the transfer window and while letting go of stones and Romelu Lukaku I feel like it was a great window.

A big Summer signing was
52e252196525d.jpg

Hes back and better than ever. It was said that rooney thought manchester was a bit stale and he always perfered the blues.
Another great sigining was a loan move for Marc-André ter Stegen
9k=
He is with us for a year and will be our first choice Goal keeper ahead of new signing Costel Pantilimon and also Tim Howard who we understand is taking a more advisory role now at the club with intrest of becoming a goalkeeping coach when he retires from the game he loves.

Marquinhos Psg and roma legend but swaped France for the lovely cold and wet england because he wanted to be the first choice center back at Everton

Another Football manager legend has joined the everton set up called Éder Álvarez Balanta he is said to be delighted to swap River plate for everton
