TRUEBLUE - gaffers notes
So, as it stands at the end of August we lie comfortably in 13th place, not far off the play-off places. In Pre-Season I knew we had to mix things up a bit, try different tactics, different formations. This league is very tight, despite us not getting the best results that we could, we still lie in a good position in the League.
Also, the press have been slating Lauri Dalla Valle, and I would like to rubbish those statements. Lauri has been playing as a Right-Back and he was asked to defend and he did that brilliantly. But when I reverted him to playing as a striker, he scored!
Also, loanee Stefan Maierhofer has been excellent so far, providing 9 goals in 10 for us this season which have proved vital. Carl Baker has also took his opportunity brilliantly, he has started the past 4 games and took them brilliantly, all the lads have been brilliant, and as a manager, I couldn't ask for more.

Manager Sam Charnock has today thanked the fans for their loyal support. The crowd's at EP are averaging aroung 7,000 when in 2008 it was 4,000. Being in the North West, Stockport are surrounded by massive clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton. But Stockport manager said "If you don't support Stockport County, don't come to our games!"
"I don't care about money at this point, we're in the Championship and I want them hardcore fans that supported us in League Two, not glory hunters, I would like to thank them fans for their support, so if you don't support this great club, don't come back"!

We lie 7 points off the play-offs and making the play-offs is really realistic, with 6 games left, the race for the play-offs will be exciting!

An Abrupt End?
After doing so well, this far of the season, how will Stockport go into the final game of the season vs Swansea City, they are currently just 2 point off the Play-Offs and Stockport must win to have any chance of getting into the play-offs.

UPDATE VERY SOON, WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN?
After seeing that Huddersfield and Leeds both lost, it was our job to beat Swansea, it was always going to be difficult against a very tough Swansea side. When Morgan got the goal, you could hear the sense of relief from our faithful fans, then when Graham Power got the second we all thought we could sit back and enjoy but in the past we have lost the game for being too complacent but thankfully we finished off Swansea with goals frm Jason Puncheon and David Nugent. So, we've made it, let's enjoy it, but we've got a very tough game ahead of us, seems though we finished in the final play-off place, we play the team who finished 3rd, Blackburn Rovers, it's going to be a really, really tough game, but we need to focus, come back down to earth and hope we can pull off another surprising result!
Charlie Mulgrew has also set a new record, of 15 assists in a season, the record was previously held by former favourite Lloyd Sam who is now playing in Spain for Real Murcia.
