The Elite makes the wide midfielders to score a lot, along with the striker who has also large amount of assists. Pretty high scoring tactic, although the formation is defensive. The runs from deep midfield seems to be challenging to the ME :)

Yes the explicit forward runs from deeper midfield positions was the main idea behind this tactic.

So the season has started and after a rude start the team looks like have found the synergy and rythm. 14 players were signed for the 1st team so team cohesion training was needed for a loooon time. The next games are going to be though tbh.

Thanks, Zyndar. I haven't played TOO many games with Samurai elite yet, but things seem to be going quite well with my Wigan save. Prior to starting this tactic, I won the Championship in my second season playing my own mix of 4-2-3-1 (with DMs and 3 CMs) and 4-1-4-1. But that required me to basically watch every game and continually make tweaks. It was exhausting! I wanted something a bit more solid for extended highlights. I like Pep's 4-1-4-1 and this seems like a pretty good implementation.

One thing: I have had what seems to me an unacceptable level of red cards with this tactic. How essential is "get stuck in" to the tactic in your view?

Also, out of curiosity, what is your process for constructing a tactic? It seems like mark tighter, tackle harder, and close down more are parts of most of your player instructions. Is that just a way of saying to the players "work harder!"? Or is there more to it?

Thanks again!

Yes it is like telling everyone to work harder and with the very fluid team shape it works well. If you feel getting too many red cards, you can remove the get stuck in TI. Good luck with the Elite!
Yesterday I've played 2 more matches, lost to Chelsea but beat Arsenal at home, screens to come in the evening. Honestly, Elite offers a gameplay which i am most enjoying in the last couple of weeks.

Yes the team is definitely playing good football. I'm still getting mixed results but being 12th on a media prediction of 18th with 10-12 new signings is probably good overall!

What level of team cohesion are you shooting for, btw? My guys are "blending well" but I know there are several levels above that. What level is good enough in your mind?

If you are talking about "tactic familiarity", then you should reach 100% before changing the training.

No the tactic is fully fluid. I mean the team cohesion you can see in the team talk feedback. What's high enough there?

I am out of strikers (H)

Ha! I thought I had injury problems!

I actually am talking about team cohesion (which I didn't actually know about until yesterday). If you go to Analysis > Last Match > Team Talk Feedback your AM tells you how well your squad is blending.

samurai elite or samurai v2?

Are you just using Elite? Or switching to 4-4-1-1 sometimes? When do you switch? I find I get beat a lot on the counter where teams do a couple big switches behind my fullbacks. I'm toying with putting one of the WBs on support to prevent that.

So far my results are nowhere near as good as yours sadly. Tons of draws. My team's pretty bad but still...
