Serie B: Matchday 22

San Marino 2 - 2 Hellas Verona
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4500
Mitogo (1, 22)
Pereira (25), Zecchin (71)
sanmagr1.jpg

San Marino returned home, having knocked FIorentina out of the cup, and confidence was high, with San Marino scoring two early goals and containing Hellas Verona well, but Verona did manage to score on 25 minutes.
San Marino started to tire, and on 67 minutes, Takak was sent off for a disgraceful tackle. From then on, Verona were looking the most likely to score, and they scored the equaliser on 71 minutes. The game ended 2-2, and saw San Marino drop to 2nd in the league

Serie B: Matchday 23

Benevento 0 - 3 San Marino
From ISanta Columba, Benevento, Att:5170
Mitogo (45), Benacci (49), Signorini (OG 60))

San Marino took some time to get into this match, but once Mitogo scored just before half time, San Marino took total control in the second half and ended the game victorious, 3-0 winners. Sienna could only manage to draw which put San Marino back at the top, with a 2 point lead

My poor Fiorentina, I guess even Mihajlovic doesn't look that bad when compared to that ginger freak XD

btw Mutu on loan!? that's some international class superstar! you have enough for his wages???

Yeah, Mutu on loan.....paying about ten percent of his wages

Something similar was very close to happen IRL at january (with Cesena instead of San Marino)... luckily it didn't!

To be honest, i saw him on the transfer market, he's 33/34 now in my game.....so i put in a cheeky bid, and it got accepted....Im having incredible luck on this game, i could play the same game again and it would be totally different

That's the beauty of the San Marino Challenge ;)

Italian Cup Quarter Finals

Genoa 0 - 4 San Marino
From ILuigi Ferraris, Genova, Att:25558
Mitog (1), Tiboni (48), Sven Schipplock (71, 90+2))
hamsik.jpg

San Marino came into this game as huge under dogs, but they got off to a fantastic start when Mitogo headed home in the first minute.
San Marino were on the back foot though, for the rest of the half, lucky to go in to half time still with the lead.
Genoa instantly attacked in the second half, hitting the bar, on 47 minutes, which allowed San Marino to blast the ball up to the lone man Tiboni, who took the ball around the defender and found himself one on one with the keeper. He opted to blast the ball and he scored an amazing 25 yard shot. 2-0 to San Marino
Genoa continued to press but San Marino caught them on the counter attack twice, almost adding to their tally.
As Genoa started to push forward even more, again San marino hitting them on the counter, where substitute Schipplock managed to get himself a goal, 3-0 to San Marino.
When the two minute added time marker came up, half the fans had already left and Genoa had given up. Schipplock punished some bad Genoa defending to make it 4-0 on the night, and to help guide San Marino to their first semi final appearance.

Italian Cup Semi Final Draw

Palermo_calcio_1983-logo-E21AAB62B2-seeklogo.com.gif

San Marino will play Holders Palermo in the semi finals, with Palermo looking for an easy passage into the finals,
Also representing Serie B is Pescara, who will take on the winners of the Lazio/A.C Milan quarter final match

Serie B: Matchday 24

San Marino 2 - 1 Sassuolo
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4160
Tiboni (31), Koman (90+1)
Noselli (52)
0.jpg

San Marino looked to be suffering from cup hang over today, as they gave possession away easily, but they took the lead on the half hour mark as Tobini scored a wonder goal, from 30 yards out.
Sassuolo's inability to hit the target probably cost them the match as they were the better side. They did score on 52 minutes, with Nosseli heading home. How ever, some poor defending and lack of concentration saw Koman score the winner for San Marino in the dying moments of the game. San Marino only just grab the points, and find them selves 4 points clear at the top of the table

Serie B: Matchday 25

San Marino 3 - 0 Foggia
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4500
Bernacci (52, 85), Peter Luccin (65)
4424115489_aa8c946475.jpg

the first half was very dull, with San Marino only having one shot, whilst an injury ravaged Foggia were happy to defend. But this cost them in the second half as San Marino upped the tempo, with the awesome Bernacci scoring on 52 minutes. This was followed by Peter Luccins first ever goal at the club and in the 85th minute, Adrian Mutu set up Bernacci who scored a fine header. San Marino win 3-0

McClaren: I know what needs to be done

steve-mcclaren-will-be-keeping-a-careful-eye-on-mancienne-s-progress-$6918$300.jpg

In a press conference earlier this evening, Steve McClaren has said he is getting to grips with the Italian way of life, and come next season, he said this will show in Fiorentina's league form.
Fiorentina are currently laying 13th in Serie A

Serie B: Matchday 26

Pescara 1 - 1 San Marino
From Adriatico, Pescara, Att:5170
Bulot (25))
Mutu (77))
AdrianMutu.jpg

This was the battle of Serie B's Italian cup representatives, but it was Pescara who looked the most likely to win. Bulot scoring on 25 minutes. But Mutu saved San Marino blushes, scoring his first goal for the club on 77 minutes. San Marino were lucky to salvage a point today

Fiorentina SACK McClaren

SteveMcClaren1_2560065.jpg

Fiorentna have just announced that they have parted with Managar Steve McClaren. Fiorentina have been disappointing this season, finding themselves in 11th place.
Mr Drezzy was the first to comment on McClarens sacking, tweeting that he knew this day would come, but hopes McClaren gets back into management quickly, so Mr Drezzy could humiliate him again

Serie B: Matchday 27

Empoli 3 - 1 San Marino
From Carlo Castellani, Empoli, Att:5103
Caturano(46, 84), Camano(88)
Natali (48)
Empoli+FC+v+Reggina+Calcio+Serie+B+W8x453eaTiyl.jpg

Empoli totally out played San Marino today, San Marino looked lost today. They couldn't keep hold of the ball and a superb Empoli punished them

Serie B: Matchday 28

San Marino 2 - 0 Ascoli
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4371
Abadie (49), Bernacci (56)
Paolo+Grossi+AC+AlbinoLeffe+v+Ascoli+Calcio+vJFUqZa85CGl.jpg

Not a game to be proud of for both teams, it was a poor game and if it wasn't for a couple moments of magic, then the game would have been a dud.
In the space of 7 minutes, San Marino were 2 up in the second half, but the game went back to the bore it was. How ever, San Marino were good at picking up points despite playing like a bunch of donkeys.
But the result meant that San Marino went back into 1st place, 2 points clear, as Sienna failed to win in their last game

Ah poor McClaren! :) brilliant updates though buddy :) keep them coming :D
