If San Marino had their shooting boots onto, they would have won this game easily, but they didn't and the fans at Pier Cesare Tombolato had witnessed a forgettable match.
However, Siena failed to win again, which meant San Marino kept their 2 point lead at hte top

Again, San Marino failed to impress against a poor Albinoleffe side, but a long ranged goal by Bernacci ensured that a stuttering San Marino won and kept their 2 point lead alive.

From Armando Picchi, Livorno Att:-4730

What a brilliant game, San Marino and Livorno took it to each other, with Bernacci scoring the first. But the awesome Signori scored the equaliser, leaving Henrique with no chance.
Then, Adrian Mutu blasted home San Marino's second. Mutu is starting to look good, taking time to settle in, how ever, in the last minute of stoppage time, Livorno scored again, 2-2 at half time.
The second half wasn't as fluid but San Marino's Armiche curled a free kick home to give San Marino an important goal, which they managed to hold onto. This win put San Marino 5 points clear after Siena lost today.

Aimar made his debut for San Marino today but it was other new Boy, Mutu who set up Bernacci for the first goal.
Taranto didn't really bring much to the game, but they defended well. Aimar grabbed the headlines with his fantastic passing and on 55 minutes, he played Bernacci in with a 40 yard through ball, which Bernacci slotted home, to give San Marino a 2 goal lead.
San Marino ended up winning the game, and remain 5 points clear over a wobbling Siena

Crotone 1 - 2 San Marino
From Ezio Scida, Crotone, Att:3696
Ciro Ginestra (76)
Bernacci (45+1), Evans (84)
Ezio_Scida_A.jpg

San Marino really struggled today against relegation threatened Crotone. Bernacci got a lucky break just before half time, tapping home into an empty net. After the break, Crotone survived a few scares and even scored a goal of their own, with Ginestra curling in a free kick.
Crotone looked to grab a vital point, but a moment of madness from Landre saw him sent off for pulling down Bernacci in the area, and receiving his marching orders. It was the returning Evans who slotted home the resulting penalty, and gave San Marino the 3 points. Even more important, they went 7 points clear of Siena who lost today

San Marino again were poor, and Triestina took advantage, taking the lead after only 17 minutes. Bernacci, who San Marino are beginning to rely on, scored on the stroke of half time, giving San Marino a boost.
Koman scored on the 60th minute, slotting into an empty net. San Marino managed to hold on and again scrape the 3 points. San Marino are sitting on top of Serie B, 7 points clear.

San Marino went into this game knowing they could win, but they pushed it at some points during this match, with Frosinone looking the most likely to score. But on half an hour Albertazzi bundled the ball into his own net, and at this point San Marino piled on the pressure.
But it wasn't until the end of the game that San Marino managed to put a bit of daylight between themselves and Frosinone. Schipplock scoring a lovely header on 83 and then the returning Fedi killed the game off on 90 minutes, San Marino win 3-0 and are still 7 points clear

Pescara hold Lazio in first leg

lazio-siena.jpg

Lazio were stunned today as they travelled to Pescara. Pescara matched them for the entire game and many consider them unlucky not to have won, how ever, Lazio ae still favourites to go through, along with Palermo

Italian Cup Semi Finals 1st Leg

Okaka (51), Bianchi (57)
balparom.JPG

San Marino were off to a flying start in this first leg semi final, against Serie A opposition.
They took the game to Palermo, and Armiche broke the dead lock on 34 minutes, curling in a sweet free kick.
But after half time, Palermo looked like a different team, with San Marino having to defend deep. Okaka scored the equaliser for Palermo. And then, Bianchi scored a few minutes later to give Palermo a 2-1 lead. But San Marino didn't fold, hitting the bar twice before the game was over. Palermo take a slender lead back home, and have to be favourites to make it to the final, for their second appearance in just 2 season

After their heroics against Palermo, San Marino were shocking today. Either side of the half hour, they leaked 2 goals from which they never recovered. Bernacci gave San Marino some hope, but it was too late and San Marino lose 2-1. On a sour note, Peter Luccin and Armiche could miss the next few games after leaving the pitch injured, but on a good note, Siena only managed to draw so the gap is a nice 6 points, with just a few games to go

San Marino suffered their second straight defeat after a woeful first half. They were lucky to go in to the break 1 down. Things got worse just before the hour when Dragoni smashed home from 30 yards to give Piacenza a 2-0 lead. Even though San Marino pulled one back, they were second best and Piacenza deserved the win.
