Season 10 Review
No Europa League wins but the other stimulation to move on to a new club. The board has approved a new stadium no info on it yet however.
Queen of the South beat Dunfermline in the Play-off to move up.
Half the squads contracts are up next summer so lots of negotiating to do this summer.

SPL - Winner
Scottish cup - Runner Up
Scottish League Cup - Semi Finals
Europe - Europa League Runner Ups
Regained the SPL but a sloppy League Cup Semi final performance and loosing two finals to Celtic in a week at the end of the season was HUGE blow to fall at the final hurdle again.

The Portugese youth star had a solid 1st season last time round but in his 2nd season he mover it up a level making 21 goals and scoring 17 himself. Breaking into the Portugal squad was the final feather in his cap.
SPL Review
Dundee Utd - 7/10 - Back in top spot. We moved 10 points clear around Christmas then kept the gap till a small stumble at the end of the year let Celtic make it look more of a competition that it actually was
Celtic - 8/10 - Dundee Utd have Jack Love Celtic have Paco Alcacer. 47 goals in 49 games along with Danny Rose & Matej Vydra is still leading the side. Three Cups including a second Europa League title is enough to make this successfull 2nd place.
Hearts - 7/10 - another season another 3rd place finish for Hearts. Little activity after there takeover but more loans for high profile youth sides similar to Celtic is not how i want to see the League going forward.
St Mirren - 7/10 - Spent the season fighting Hearts for the title of 3rd place. Unfortunalty St Mirren historically relied on loan players to get there as they did again on this exchange.
Rangers - 6/10 - A 2nd return to the top 6 but the question is can they stay there this time? No major changes from last seasons team.
Motherwell - 7/10 - What an improvement! Seasons of flirting with religation they won the battle to get into the top 6. Didnt add many but cleared out heeps of dead wood.
Hibs - 5/10 - After loosing Gauld to Rangers there hopes of a top 6 finish were already over. Good form through the Religation phase helped secure 7th place.
Aberdeen - 4/10 - Aberdeen made some brilliant off season additions that i thought would secure 3rd place but it was not to be and a very poor bottom half finish was all they could muster.
Inverness CT - 5/10 - Another bottom half finish. Some good work in the transfer market but no progress up the table
Ross County - 5/10 - Another season of survival for County. Used the loan system to bring in 2 players that made the difference between a play off battle and comfortable end to the season.
Dunfermline - 4/10 - Well John Collins couldnt repeat the miracle of last season and ended up in teh playoff where eventually they ended up going down to Kilmarnock in the playoffs.
Hamilton - 3/10 - A Very short stay in the SPL. Defense was hopeless and they comfortably and deservadly last.

At the 7th time of trying Ladrup wins the Manager of the year. Should have got it last year to be fair.

Only the top 6 Leagues did better than Scotland in the National Coefficients. We jumped passed Ukraine for 11th too.

Plenty Leagues shifting around. Perhaps the French 1st rising to 4th helped Ligue 2 move past us for 13th. Wonder how many lower league French sides got to the Europa League Finals!
Dundee Utd are now ranked 18th in Europe
