is this fm 09?

For years everyone who follows the Scottish game has hated the league set up and begged for change.

The Scottish League is ****** boring to play. If playing as an SPL team, you can encounter another team up to seven times in the one year. Thus playing as Hearts and being beaten 10 times a year by the Old Firm becomes repetitive. The idea behind this league is to change the structure so that it becomes less so. No longer can a team sit at the bottom of the league a-la-East Stirlingshire and not be relegated.

Like most Scot's i have had my own personal idea on how things should be for years now and i can finally put it into practise.

Manage any of 268 teams competing on six tiers set out at National, Regional and District level.

Promotion and Relegation from each tier/level.

In addition to the Scottish Cup, which is open to every team in the structure, there are a further three Cup Competitions, one for each of the National, Regional and District levels.

Access List:
* Current SPL and SFL teams.
* Senior non-league teams ( Highland , East of Scotland and South of Scotland Leagues).
* North Region Juniors (Premier, Division 1 and Division 2)
* East Region Juniors (Super, Premier, North, Central and South)
* West Region Juniors (Premier, Division 1, Ayrshire, Central 1 and Central 2).
* Reserve/B teams for current SPL

oh and is it possible to combine the UK super cup u created with this edited socttish league?

Cant wait for the logo pack :)

As i said before the only annoying thing in my opinion is the B teams, good idea but does not work in game as they just run riot in the cups and leagues up till championship level.

Still the best ever thing to happen to FML though, great work!

I do agree the B teams have not turned out to be the best idea ever. I cannot be bothered amending it again though.

its a pity there arent rules available like those in the spanish league that only affect b-teams, like maximum of 0 players over the age of 24, as that might help weaken them a bit. May have to have squad registration for that though.

is there any way of enabling promotion of "B" teams to the SPL1?

if you go into the editor, and look at the settings for the irn-bru scottish championship, there is a tickbox beside "B/reserve teams cannot be promoted" which is ticked, if you untick it B teams can reach the spl 1

did you manage to make a logo pack kris, because i gave it a go but im having trouble with the unique ids, they seem to be different in the game compared to the editor and i think some are not showing up because of this.

Hope you dont mind kris, but i made my own version of this. Here it is:

http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/64967721/file.html

Summary of the Changes:
1. Added Winter break.
2. SPL TV game on friday has been changed to saturday at 12:30
3. fix - added Latitude and Longitude for Penicuik.
4. HBOS Super cup has been changed to a super cup style tournament.(Due to how the teams are selected, this will start from the 2010/2011 season onwards.)
5. League cup has been re-introduced.
6. TV money addded for all leagues.
7. Changed Prize money for leagues.
8. Scottish cup setup changed so that SPL 1 and 2 teams enter at a later stage of the tournament.
9. Removed B teams, replaced with teams from Scottish Amateur Leagues and North Caledonian League.
The following teams have been added at junior level with teams currrently at junior level being promoted to Division 2:
Glasgow Uni, Lads Club, Stonehouse, Elmwood, Burntisland, Tain Thistle, Thurso, Invergordon, Halkirk Utd, Balintore, Alness Utd and Third Lanark
More details of the changes are in the changes.txt file within the .rar file.

-Updated link- Now there are no squad restrictions in the league cup, and the winner prize moey has been reduced to £150,000
-Edit, realised unintentional rule in the Scottish cup, but it seems to work quite well, so i've decided to keep it in. The rule is minimum of 8 U-23 players in the squad.-

How do i download your update of 1/11/09,can't seem to locate it,just thick no doubt.

Mike

when you start a new game, does the select database box appear?

there should be a tick box in the bottom right corner with change written beside it. This will take you to a list of database files you have in the folder i mentioned in my last post. tick the ones you want to activate then continue from there.
