SEVEN seasons it's taken to get a regen come through my academy who looks like he could potentially become world class:

Better late than never I suppose. Most Dutch regens have been horrible on this save, even Ajax and PSV haven't produced much in them 7 years either, quite odd and very frustrating as the Dutch national team is going to suffer and it makes the Champions League home grown rules harder to comply with when you can pick up better regens abroad :(

I'm about to start my second season with Southampton and I still have not gotten any regen players. Does anyone know why, or have you experienced this yourself?

Here are my lads that i've been looking after in the under 18's, expecting all of them to first team squad members at some point.

Just a quick question, do you think i should just bring them into the first team and just let them gradually build up their playing time (aka jack wilshere at arsenal) or should i let them have a year or 2 of loan football (aka romelu lukaku at chelsea)?

Well, i did buy myself the best tutorer i know, which is an amazing player aswell. he goes by the name of Wilshere,
Since Bulent is a amc i was training him as an advanced playmaker. now training his composure and he has gotten a bit better than in the picture, but he is now being played as a F9 :)

Best to do it yourself, thats the mentality i go by. So let them gradually play themselves into the first team, i might even overplay my youngsters, but if the play well and develop nicely, why not :)

This is my kid. Picked him up as a 14 year old with 16 in decisions and after two seasons with Pirlo and Carrick tutoring him he's got it up to 20. At the age of 16.
He is by far the best regen I've ever had! Looking forward to seeing him develop even further, even though he should be pretty much the best player in the world around 20, hopefully!

Isn't Oleg Gusev the best tutor? I'm pretty sure he's got the best mental traits in the game.

He might be, havent seen his stats, obviously i am not saying Wilshere is the best, but he has worked wonders for me on previous fm`s and this year has been no exception :)

He's phenomenal mate, kudos.

+1

Two of the best I've seen, they didn't come cheap though! (Pojskic was bought the year I left for 11M, I thought he was **** lol) The other I stumbled upon accidentally when I clicked similar players on another regen, there was a lot of competition for him, and I paid him 23M.

rundown

GK- Karol Krzyminski, a polish born gk and future replacement for tim krul. on loan at yeovil and is their starting keeper

RB- Leon Claassen, dutch rb/wb. beat barcelona and psg to get his signature and looks ok so far, really high avg rating for st mirren

CB- Garreth O'Brien, from the US of A. beat FC porto to sign him from NY red bulls. on loan to AZ (our feeder club) doing okay. a bright future ahead of him. got his first caps for USA too.

CB- Patrick Dowie, academy product, a natural sweeper back but training him to be a cb, doing really well at st mirren at cb so he might be in the starting lineup in 10 years

LB- no replacement lined up for baines yet...

CDM- Mark Spiers, scotsman from dundee, probably best regen in my game for ability and my favorite ever in all fms. LOOK AT THAT ABILITY FOR 17 YEARS OLD!!! made some 1st team caps due to injuries to anita and tiote and he was superb. his debut was at 16 in the capital one cup against norwich and scored a 20-25 yard screamer in 30 seconds :D. for a mere 500k it is probably one of my best signings ever.

CM- Alvaro Diaz, from chilie, spent a year or two at madrid but did not want a new contract at the bernabeu. with 1 year left on his contract and a 5 mil release clause (probably why they wanted to sign a new contract) it was a pure bargain. he made like 3 apps and scored a goal. also recently got his first for chilie.

CM- Guido Ocamica, argentinian from river plate, is - without a shadow of a doubt - the 2nd or 3rd best regen for potential (im pretty sure i know who nr1 is) on the whole game. cant wait till he comes back from loan. i predicted his PA to be 189 or 190 but i may be wrong. one of my favorite regens ever and a legend in general.

RW- Aradavan Cross, academy product, a well rounded off rw with decent pace. our best rw in potential but the *** man rates him much higher than i do. only time will tell

LW- Christophe Mougin, french winger for 5 mil, is definitely a risk but what is football without risks eh? looks like a good prospect.

ST- Connor Folan, irishman from shelbourne, is a very talented striker on loan at reading in which he scored in his first game. definitely one to look out for and possible replacement for suarez or whoever i buy next. *** man and scouts rate him really highly and i hope theyre right.

Opinions?
