Tai Po Football Club
Tai Po Football Club is a football club that plays in the Top Flite division of Hong Kong. Playing in the Hong Kong First Division since 2005, Tai Po plays its games at Tai Po Sports Grounds in front of a packed house of 3,000 people.
The Story:
Jimmy Wright was a football star for his high school back in the United States. He played so well for his high school in Pennsylvania that he even went to college for free on a scholarship for the sport. He played for 4 years at Rutgers. He proved to be a decent First Teamer for most of his College career but nothing spectacular. Coming out of college the once proud Striker found himself struggling to find a job. He majored in history and not many jobs were available at the time. Much to his delight he finally landed a job in south eastern Pennsylvania with a small civil war museum. The museum had established a sister museum in Hong Kong, which showcased the effects the American Civil War had on the world. Wright was assigned the task of heading to Hong Kong to work there, where he was more needed. He would receive a raise and his room & board would be paid. With no other options Wright headed out.
Wright got off the plane and took to work. It wasn't too long before he started following the local Hong Kong First Division. He even developed a favorite team in Tai Po Football Club. He began to frequent their games. One day after a match he stayed after doing some paperwork. He saw the skipper of the team take the lads out for a quick practice after they lost 3-0 against Kitchee. He told the coach of his background and how much he loved the club since his arrival. The team's manager decided to check into his background and get back to him. After exchanging some minor information the Manager contacted Jimmy the next day. He said that there were no more slots open for registration for a squad position but he was willing to offer him a Part Time Coaching deal.
Mr. Wright worked for the team for several years to come and then something unfortunate occured. Just after the 2008/2009 season Manager Fu Kwai Chuk died in a car accident. Stricken with grief Jimmy put in his letter of resignation. However, the board responded to his letter with an outstanding offer. They offered him the chance to manage Tai Po. They based it on his connection with the late Manager and his great relations with the squad.
And this is where our story begins....
Tai Po expected to finish 9th in the table for the 2009/2010 year.
Current Squad:

Best Player is Striker Christian Annan
