We would jump out this year as we sit in first place after the first month and perfect in league play and Champs League. Some chemistry issues with Vera and Careca up top, but still hasn’t slowed us down as we scored 15 goals (averaging 3 a game) and only gave up 3 (averaging under 1). Of the five games two teams we beat are currently in the top five (Valencia 3rd and Barcelona 5th). Vera is our top scorer so far, but Galarza is surprisingly tied with him for three goals already.

THE UGLY: Nothing. Can’t really complain when you are giving up less than a goal and game and are undefeated.

THE BAD: We are feeling the lack of depth at our back line. There is a big drop off from our starters to our bench players. Luckily no one is injured right now, but we might have to look for some loans to have positions covered later.

THE GOOD: Board has accepted to build up our training facilities. Although it won’t get done until the beginning of next season its still a good thing to know heading into the future of the club.

We need to do well in the Champs group stages to keep us low on monthly losses. With only one game it was good, but we are going to have to do more especially with the hardest group stage we have ever faced.

Only three league games this month but we continue our blazing streak though the league. Our only loss on the year would come in the Champs league although we did have some close games this month. Still with the loss we are not in that bad of a shape when it comes to getting out since we are sitting in second place and have three points over third place.

THE UGLY: A red card for one of our defensive players and then getting an additional two game ban. Still we came to win, but did cost us some players to be tired in those games.

THE BAD: Our first loss might cost us first place in the Champs League Group stage. Or the fact that in the Spanish Cup we basically sat the whole team and still had two injuries in the game.

THE GOOD: Earliest in the season that we ever held onto first place and doesn’t look like we can be slowed down even with a red card.

Would have been nice to win both champs league games or at least tied one so we could of at least made money for it. Still we are keeping it around 2.5 million for a loss which isn’t that bad since we though it would be over 3 from the way it went last year.

Again another perfect month. Had two tough league games with two Champs games. Through all of that we had the second leg of the Spanish Cup so we had to shuffle our lineup a couple of times and even without a full squad or a fit squad we still manage to come out on top. We have a five point lead over Barcelona and only Barcelona and us are still in single digits for giving up goals in the league game. Again our team has been a goal scoring machine as we are not in second for most goals and tied with Real Madrid for goal differential with +27.

THE UGLY: Again a perfect month so there is nothing we can say.

THE BAD: Salaries are starting to hurt us and the board is putting pressure on the coach to trim some payroll to actually get it back down under one million. Problem is we don’t really have anyone we want to sell to break up the chemistry or have the depth on some positions to do that.

THE GOOD: If we continue this good run, at least in the league, we are on our way to the second title under coach Ryan. Also upgrades are happening so we are on our way to strengthening our squad without going out to buy people. Still a long way off for that to be effective but it’s a start.

View attachment 130151

Well winning both Champs league games shows how much money we are actually losing a month as we still loss almost a million dollars. Still we have qualified to the knockout stages so we should be getting at least four million dollars to at least give us one positive month coming up.

UPGRADES

View attachment 130152View attachment 130153

Still not going to bring in top recruits or anything like that, but we are getting up there. With our finances over 10 million at least we can always upgrade everything now at least every year so just within ten years we should have one of the best facilities in the league.

Very nice update, its nice to see the team growing :)

Oh the team is growing alright. Its weird I feel like I should take over the Argentina national team since I do have a bunch of players on my team. I really am not trying to sign just them, but they are just pumping out the players that fit my scheme. I would say this year gets very exciting. Thanks for following.

Still cruising in the league since we didn’t lose a game yet. Still even with the tie we still hold a six point lead over second place which is now a tie between Valencia and Barcelona. With the surprising huge win in the final leg of Champs group stage we cruise to the number one spot and look to be a force again as long as we keep everyone healthy.

THE UGLY: Vera got injured at the beginning of the month and only got to play in one game this month. Good news is he should be back early next month.

THE BAD: We tied Sevilla which means we can’t go for a perfect year. Although we knew it would be very unlikely we have started off with the best starts to the year ever under coach Ryan.

THE GOOD: Sanogo and Vera both have double digit goals already in the league. Don’t think Vera will score 40 again, but we are finally getting other players to score since we do have four players who do have four. Now showing that not just our strikers can score.

League Standings

The chase is on as we continue to show our might as we keep on winning. Bad news is that about 30 teams are interested in 8 of our starters so it looks as if we might have to let some people go if the price is right. Coach Ryan doesn’t really want to let anyone good since the oldest player on our team is 28, with the average at 24 years of age but it looks as if the Board is getting the itchy trigger finger and might let some people go if the price is right.

THE UGLY: The loss in the Spanish Cup for the first leg in the Quarter Final to Tenerife. Not so much we got shutout in the game, but that we didn’t have not even one single shot taken in the game. So much for letting the reserves and youth players play in that tournament.

THE BAD: Vera would come back and the first game he would be back we would still rest him to let Sanogo start. It would only be for twenty minutes and then Vera would have to come in since Sanogo got injured and will miss a month.

THE GOOD: First time under coach Ryan we got to the Semi Final of the Spanish Cup.

First time, especially after the halfway mark they we have played the fewest games in the league. Usually it’s the other way around since we usually don’t get past round four of the Spanish Cup. Still excitement is high for the club and fans as we have the highest attendance in the league at 98 percent. Even if we do have the smallest stadium that is still a good feat to have. No one was sold on our club so that is a good sign, and all of our starters also have over a 7.00 rating for the first time under coach Ryan as well.

THE UGLY: New striker Careca is now out for almost the rest of the season, 2-3 months, with an injury he picked up in training. While it is sad he is out we still have our top two goal scorers healthy though so we aren’t hurting that much.

THE BAD: For how well we have played in the league we are now in second place. Still Real Madrid has two games on us, but still has to show how good the top four teams are in our league. Barcelona always turns it on in the second half as well as Atletico Madrid so they also have to be worrisome since they are only just twelve points or so away.

THE GOOD: Going to the first final in the Spanish Cup for the first time. People are already talking as if we have won the double, league and Spanish Cup, but still have plenty of games left. We still want to do well in Champs league. Not only just to show the world how good we are, but also for the financial benefits with his what most of our money comes from.

League Standings

View attachment 130891View attachment 130892

We had a ton of league games this month and the final two games of the month were going to be the toughest as they were against the 5th place team (Atletico Madrid) and 2nd place team Real Madrid. We would again go without a loss this month, but would end up with a tie to Atletico Madrid which is the best result we could of have since we beat Real Madrid to finally give us some breathing room in the league. Sanogo and Vera are still loving life as they are close to scoring a league goal almost every game. 22 goals in 23 games for Vera and 16 goals in 19 games for Sanogo. Also we barely escape the knockout stage in Champs league. Now getting a worried about the team since we do need the money.

THE UGLY:
We are still picking up a lot of yellow cards which already cost 3 starters sitting for a game and still have three more just one yellow card away from suspension. Still it hasn’t slowed us down as we are putting our print on the league.

THE BAD: A tie with Olympique Lyonnais at home in the second leg. Sure we won at their place, but we are notorious for winning at home. There is a lot of good talent in the Champs league this year and we have always struggled on the road, but would always close out at home. Hopefully we can find our winning ways again.

THE GOOD: With just ten games to go we are sitting in first place in the league, in the finals still of the Spanish Cup, and inching further in Champs league. Everyone is still healthy, the exception of Careca, but still the team from last year is showing their chemistry they had since they been playing with each other for a while. Only problem is will we have to sell some players since some teams are coming knocking at the end of the year?

The race is on now for the title. Real Madrid seems unstoppable and we still are putting up a fight after having three starters injured. Not only is the race for the title on the line the other big question is who is going to break 100 goals on the year first. Real Madrid is beating us by one right now, 96-95, but we would rather claim first in the league since we already broken the 100 goal plateau.

THE UGLY: We loss two more people. Sanogo and Giovannelli are at least both out for 4 months. It looks as if we would go on a losing streak, but our defense is still holding on, but our offense is still unbeatable it seems like.

THE BAD: With Giovannelli going down it shows that we need another top notch defender. Rumor has it that coach Ryan already has an eye out on one of the guys and with the limited finances we have that we will be selling one or two guys to get him. Still its all rumor right now and selling off two guys seems not like the best deal especially when we are already thin and have three people injured.

THE GOOD: Lots of good this month. In good shape to still reach the final of the Champs League. Did win our first Spanish Cup, and Careca is almost looking fit to come back from his injury just in time to play the second leg of the Semi-Final of the Champs league.

THE UGLY: The game verses Villarreal. Sure we lost 1-0, but we out shot them 20-2 and they still one. We dominated the game and couldn’t edge them out or at least tie it.

THE BAD: Loss three games this month. Sure we let Careca and Vera rest in two of them, and the third one both were suspended. Still the last game we loss didn’t matter since we already sealed up first place.

THE GOOD: The double happened for the second time under coach Ryan. Last time was three years ago where we had a good run and won the League and Champs League. Still we have the ability to win the treble with the Champs League final still to come.

A very good year. Lets hope you can get a bigger stadium

No no stadium yet, but guess we can try again next year, or the year after. I would like it to be a 45K seater but know that is too unrealistic so I would be happy with like a 25K seater.

Off-Season Recap

It was a fantastic year for A.D. Alcorcon, but the off-season was just as exciting, but probably more crazy than the season itself. Coach Ryan sat down to talk to reporters of everything that happened. First couple of questions talked about the first time coach Ryan won the treble and now has gotten his team to be one of the best in the world.

View attachment 131560View attachment 131561View attachment 131562

PRESS: “It was a fantastic run in the League and Champs league. You had a slight chance of winning the league and came down to the second to last game of the year before actually outright winning it. You struggled early in Champs League before finally getting some people healthy and making the push to winning that. Also it was your first time in the Spanish Cup and fought against an injured team as well from Real Madrid. So first congrats, and second how do you feel the season went?”

ADAM RYAN:
“Thank you. It was great to finally do well in the Spanish Cup. I actually wasn’t expecting to mount any advancements in the Spanish Cup cause we were struggling with some injuries and were trying to keep the lead for first in the league. After the horrid showing early in the Cup in the first leg it showed that we couldn’t let our bench players play in the cup and actually had to play our starters. Confidence grew and we went from there. Plus it doesn’t hurt that we had Vera who again put on a scoring clinic for the year.”

PRESS: “Your Board didn’t add any more seats to the stadium and no news on a new stadium so you again will be playing in your 12,000 seater. How much of a strain does that put on your finances?”

ADAM RYAN: “It puts a little strain, but if we continue do have good runs in the Champs League (third winners in four years), that takes a little pressure off of the finances. It can’t be that big of a deal since we haven’t been in the red since the second year of the club.”

View attachment 131563View attachment 131564View attachment 131565View attachment 131566

PRESS: “Was your 1.1 million wages cause you to sell off the two people this off-season? With those two people you did knock off over 200K on your wages, plus Marcelo’s sale actually gave you one of the key reasons of making money. Should this be a trend now that every year one of the high paid players will be shipped off to keep new money to the club?”

ADAM RYAN: “Well it wasn’t our first choice to sell Marcelo. Actually I didn’t want to sell anyone on our team, but with the upgrades to our facilities and then some of the new guys we signed it had to be to sell at least someone to keep us afloat. Yes I know that Alan’s transfer is over 48 months so it didn’t help us out. Marcelo on the other hand was a big key to us winning the treble and wanted to keep him, but Arsenal came with the fee of his release clause so we really didn’t have a choice if we wanted to keep him or not. I just hope that we don’t met up in the finals again cause it will be a different game this time around.”

PRESS: “With all that money you did go out and buy some guys and with their signing fee’s you don’t have that much money left over. How much does your club actually have? Plus with five new guys coming in how much of a strain does it put now on wages?”

View attachment 131576

ADAM RYAN: “Right now we have about 25 million for our balance and we did release what our finances look like at the beginning of the year. Also with the five new guys we still are about 95K less on wages than what we had last year. So we added some depth to some positions, and basically have the same talent coming in as we lost. So if anything we are the same we just added three new players for cover.”

PRESS: “Talking about upgrades what exactly are you upgrading right now? Also your shirt sponsorship ended so any word on the new deal.”

View attachment 131577

ADAM RYAN:
“Yes we wanted to look for the best new shirt sponsors and found one which doubled our last deal. We still don’t know our exactly position in the league with sponsors, but we do know we are inching closer to Real Madrid who is in first. Despite the lack of the new stadium or more seats this was a big boost for our club this off-season. However the only upgrade at the club going right now is Training grounds since everything else just finished at the end of last year.”

View attachment 131578View attachment 131579

PRESS: “This is the first time in your coaching career that you actually are believed to be the team to beat in La Liga. Do you feel you can repeat as champions this year, and since your team will have the bulls eye will it be harder to sneak up on people?”

ADAM RYAN: “I don’t remember the last time we actually snuck up on someone. At least for a couple of years and maybe that was more in the Champs league than in the league ourselves. Last year we didn’t lose a game for at least the first half of the year so don’t really think we could of snuck up on anyone. I don’t see why we can’t repeat as Champions, but we know if we do it won’t be an easy task. Real Madrid and Barcelona have the same odds as us to win the league.”

View attachment 131580View attachment 131578View attachment 131581

PRESS: “You again make the record book for transfers. This time it was for most transfer fees in a season by 17 million. Next you almost double what you are making from TV rights this year as well. Last you almost had a sell out crowd for every game (at 98 percent capacity) and with that set a new average attendance by over 1,500 people from two years ago. Do you feel that within the next couple years you will have to build a new stadium and if so how many players will you have to sell to keep a positive cash flow?”

ADAM RYAN: “Those three records are nice, although I am not looking to breaking the most transfer money we got in a year this year. Our club is young with the average age of 22. This might be a shocker to some people, but most people have been on our team for at least four years. Personally I think I done a good job with finances at this club, and if we do build a new stadium I don’t feel like I should sell anyone to just make sure we don’t go in the red. We can always go to the bank and ask for a loan, or the owner can come in and put in some money. It’s not like I haven’t bankrupted him through my tenure. He see’s how much money I bring in each year so it would be a good investment for the club, and he would get it back in no time.”

View attachment 131582View attachment 131583View attachment 131584

PRESS: “Vera has been pure brilliance for your team for the past five years. You bought him after his loan season and since then has won Fan’s Player of the Year award. This year was no exception and now has won it for the fourth time in a row which is the highest on your club. Will he return to form from his injury last year and how hard will it be to keep him on your team until he retires?”

ADAM RYAN: “He is only 25 so has a lot of years left. Plus is in his prime and he returned back from his injury to help us win the Spanish Cup and lead us to the Champs League as well. So I don’t think the injury will hurt him in anyway. He might be a little too expensive for us, but we do have about 14 teams right now keeping a tab on him. I would love for him to retire with us since this is the only club he has basically played for. It just might not be realistic since he would like to move to a bigger club and the salary might be too high for us to keep him.”

Inside look of the Players

GK Eduardo (23 years old)

Came into the league in 2013 and started with Botafogo. Would stay with them for four years and played in 38 games, but the last two years would be loaned out to CSKA Sofia and Legia. Only at Legia would he play in 22 games. Afterwards would be bought by MLS team Seattle for four million. It would be a bad decision since he wouldn’t even play a game in 2014. From that he would be released and finally would be picked up for free by Alcorcon. Would get to play half the year due to us selling our goalie and has been the starter ever since. He has played in 128 games in his five years on the team and has allowed 167 goals. Still for the first couple of years we will still building up so some of his stats are skewed.

D/WB (R) / D/WB (L) Jose Vicente (22 years old)

Showed up in Zaragoza youth club and didn’t play a senior game all year. Would be shipped out for the next three years to three different teams. First was to Hudderfield on a fee of 300K and then to Havre AC for 2.3 million. He would break out as then Kayserispor since they bought him for 14 million. He would stay on the club for two years before being sold to AS Saint-Etinenne for half the price they got him at for seven million. He would only be on their team for one year as we would come knocking to get a solid wingback and we would have to pay 17 million for him in 2018. Last year was his first year with us and played in 37 games and had one goal and one assist with a rating of 7.09 for the year.

D Nicola Giovannelli (22 years old)

A.C. Milan had him for two years where he couldn’t find any playing time with the senior squad as he played in 8 games for two years. The next two years he would be loaned out to get some playing time at Anderlecht and Dynamo Kylv. It looked like in 2017 that he would be in a rotation if not a starter, but a 17 million bid came in by us as Milan would sell him to us. He has played 29 games in both seasons for us and has scored 9 goals and 2 assists. Also has been the player of the match for 2 games in his first year with us. Last year tough he had a rating of 7.38 which has been his highest in his career.

D (R,C) Jean-baptiste Georges (23 years old)

Came up to AS Monaco FC, but was one of the top youth players out there and would only be on their team for one year. He would then come to La Liga, but for powerhouse Barcelona for 2.9 million. Still he would be in fight for playing time and wouldn’t find it as the first three years he played in only five games. For the next two years would be send down to Barcelona second division team to get some playing time where he did and thrived for two seasons. With that he came back up to Barcelona, but would only appear in one game. After that we came asking since we needed some cover and found out that we could get him cheap for just 1.8 million in 2016. He we and actually would find a starting role after an injury the first year and has been in that position ever since. In the last 3 years he has scored 11 goals and had 2 assists and like Giovannelli has 2 man of the match awards.

D/WB (L) Albert Sepulveda (21 years old)

Sevilla would become of the better defensive teams in the world with Sepulveda came up the ranks. Showed up in 2014, but wouldn’t crack the starting role for three years. The first year played in one game, and then was loaned to Real Sociedad the next year. Coming back on loan he would start on the senior team for three years. They weren’t looking to sell as we weren’t looking to sell Marcelo. But the buyout clause would hit for Marcelo so we would activate his which was 28 million in the off-season which is the highest fee we ever paid for someone. Is a force to be reckon with so we are wondering if he can live up to Marcelo’s hype in the one season with us.

M/ AM (C) Cristian Aragon (25 years old)

Started out with Velez and actually cracked the senior team with his first club in 2011. Instead of keeping him and building for the future they sold him to the north to Colorado for 4.2 million a year later. He would stay on their club for two years and showed that he was going to be a force in the MLS. Still a bigger MLS club would come knocking as LA would buy him for 7.25 million. Would miss the first year basically due to an injury. Still his fame would rise still as he would leave the MLS to go to Lanus for 12 million. Almost top his breakout year with LA the previous year. Still they would only keep him on the senior squad for one year before loaning out to Newell’s for two years. The first year was injured all year and didn’t get to play in a single game, before scoring 12 goals and having 10 assist in the second year. Instead of going back to Lanus we found him on our radar and bought him for 7 million in the 2016 year. He would already crack the starting XI for us and in three years has played 99 games and scored 23 goals and 23 assists. The last two years has averaged 7.23 rating and was man of the match for two games each season.

M (C)/ AM (L) Rodney Genes (22 years old)

In 2015 was on Cerro Portenu who couldn’t find time on the senior squad. So they decided to sell him to Barac (BL) for 300K in his second year. Two years later would be sold to our feeder club Columbus for 2.8 million and had an outstanding year of 14 goals and 12 assists in 31 games. He did look at him, but without his EU card and having all 3 spots full decided not to go after him. The end of the first year with Columbus he was already being sold to Real Madrid. He couldn’t have this so we matched the offer of 6.5 million and brought him to our team to sit for the final five games of 2017. In his first full season he played in 29 games after freeing up a EU card for him and only had 2 goals and 10 assists, but did have a rating of 7.26 for the year. Plus he is our lowest salary for a starter at just 5,000 a week.

AM (R)/ ST Yaya Sanogo (26 years old)

Everyone knows he cracked into the soccer world on the main stage with AK Auxerra. In 2011 would be loaned out to FC Istres for the year before coming back to AJ the next year. Again would go out on loan to Alcorcon for the entire year. He tried to buy him, but it would be impossible with the lack of funds and they wanted 20 million for him. Sanogo was sad to leave us and went back to his team and only got to play in 11 games that year. He would be angry with the deal that AK Auxerra would offer so he would walk away from his club and we were able to sign him to a free contract in 2015. For the past four years he has been a starter for us with last year to now splitting time between attacking midfielder and striker. He is the second leading scorer on our team with 63 goals and 44 assists in the last four years. With his loan year it pushes his totals to 70 goals and 47 assists. Also has won man of the match award 25 times with the most coming last year with 9 times.

M (C)/ AM (R, C) Juan Galarza (25 years old)

Was good enough as a youth player to start for his club of Boca in 2012 for 31 games. It would be enough to have an MLS team come with a 3.3 million offer at the end of the 2013 year. He wouldn’t play a game, but was so angry about leaving Boca wouldn’t sign with an MLS side and would leave at the end of the 2013 year on a free transfer. We would find him as a free transfer and would have to sit out his first year on our team in 2013-2014 since we didn’t have a EU card and was still young and raw. However, the year later has been a starter on our team and has played in 143 games for our club and scored 23 goals and 70 assists. His first four years he was playing midfielder for us and last year and this year has moved to attacking midfielder. He did have his highest rating while moving to attacking midfielder with a 7.58 rating.

ST Careca (23 years old)

Started with Atletico Mineiro in 2013. He looked at him, but decided to let him get some years in before signing him since we did have some good strikers on our team then and knew he would get lost. After the first 3 months on his team he would be loaned to Omonoia where he would dominate the league with 24 goals in 31 games. The next year he would play in 2 games for Atletico Mineiro before being bought for 12.75 million to Celtic where we lost touch of him. After two years with them Udinese would splash 20 million for him and would stay on his team for three years and would score 24 goals each of his last two years. From that and us losing a striker we decided to finally bring him to the club which at the time was our highest fee we paid for someone at 24 million in 2018. He would start out good, but after an injury would make him miss half of the year. Still his first year with us he played in 21 games and had 10 goals and 8 assists with a 7.46 rating. Still only had 1 man of the match award, but fans hope he can stay healthy and help Vera dominate the league for years to come. He is also our highest wage earner with 205K a week.

ST Gonzalo Vera (25 years old)

Was so good when he came in to the youth system with River that he scored nine goals on the senior club in 33 games. The next year would only get to play in one game before being brought to La Liga for 7 million to Real Madrid. Not even a week arriving he would be leaving his club to come to ours on a loan for the season. He would show his greatness as he scored 21 goals in his loan season. After the year we could buy him for 15 million but didn’t have the funds, same year Sanogo was on our club, and he was heartbroken to leave our team. We would get the break after a week back he would be put up for sale and most teams were offering around 12-15 million for him, but our bid of 6.75 million was accepted since he loved our team. He would sign him and for the next five years would be a fan favorite and would win the Fan’s Player of the Year the last four years. Since we bought him he has score 126 goals for the club and 62 assists in his 171 games. With the loan season he amassed 198 games with 147 goals and 63 assists. He is one of the main reasons of our high success in the Champs league and winning the league title twice. He has been hit with some injuries, but most of them have been within 2 weeks or less which has been great for us.

D (C)/ D (R) David Rubio (20 years old)

Looked to a good player, but was unfortunate to come up through Barcelona’s ranks in 2015. Never played for a game at Barcelona even with last year when he was send down to their second division team. With four years under his belt he has never seen the field and wanted to get his chance as he didn’t sign a new contract. We signed him on a free transfer, but we also don’t look to start him as he will be cover.

D/ WB (L) Carlos Yuste (24 years old)

Another Spanish player starting in the Spanish Leagues. First with Rayo in 2011 and saw him go from LIGA Adelante to La Liga to back to Adelante with Rayo and only saw playing time for two games. He would then be sold to another Adelante team for 325K to Real Union where he became an instant starter. Two years later would join another Adelante team in Las Palmas on a fee of 925K. First year was a starter and then the next year he would be demoted to rotation. From the demotion he would leave for free and to give us the ability to give us more cover on a defensive line which is a great thing for us.

WB (R)/ DM/ M (R, C) Igor Lisitsa (31 years old)

Started with Lida who didn’t play in a game for both years on the club, Next year would go to Neman Grodno and played in five games. Next year would go back to the First League in Belshina. He would stay on their team for four years and would become an instant starter for the club. Would be sold to Slovan Bratislava for 85K for two years. Again would be sold to FC Timisoara for 210K in where he would be plugged into the starting role for the year. They would sell him for just 10K than they bought them (220K) to Seattle where he rode the pine all season long. He was unhappy to go from starter to training player so he would leave Seattle after the year. He would sign him for a free and in the past four years has only played in two seasons for a total of 17 games and only has 1 assist. Has been a cover guy the whole time he is hear, but is happy playing in La Liga and gets to play on one of the biggest stages.

DM/ M (C) Marcos (21 years old)

Shocking, but the only guy who has ever came up from our club and made some appearances for the senior club. Showed up in 2014 and was on the youth squad for three years. First year he made a senior game was in 2017 and had an assist in the game. Last year had to play out of position when we had some injuries and played wingback, but did play in eight games and had 1 man of the match awards. Might not crack a lot of playing time this year, but still can cover a lot of positions.

AM (C)/ M (LC), AM (L) Iago (29 years old)

Started with Barcelona in 2006. Second year would go down to the second division team to play in just one game. He would leave Barcelona and sign to Juventus to look for playing time. He would find it the first year as he would ride the bench. Next year would be loaned out to Bari and would sit the bench as well. The next year back to Juventus against would ride the bench. Finally would see some playing time when he was loaned to Villarreal “B” as he played in 31 games. After that loan would find some playing time with Juventus in 2011 but it would only be for 7 games. Next year would be out on loan to GF 38 where he would play 26 games. Next two years he would start to find some time at Juventus. Still wouldn’t be enough as he would fee and we would pick up him on free. The first two years only saw 10 games before going out on loan to Osasuna last year. They had the option to buy him, and they did pay for it, but he wouldn’t accept their offer so he came back to us. He is down on the depth chart for midfielders so doesn’t look to get a lot of playing time and will be leaving most likely after this year since his contract is up.

M/ AM (C)/ M/AM (R), ST Miguel Toxemia (24 years old)

Made Sporting CP roatation in 2011. After the year Atletico Madrid would buy him for 3.6 million. For the next five years spent a year on loan to Atalanta, two at Atletico “B” and two years on their senior squad. The last year he was there would see 19 games on the team. Looked to finally crack into their starting XI, but we would come in and ****** him up for 11 million in 2017. For the past two years has been a started and scored 11 goals and 17 assists for our team and has a rating over 7.10 both years. He is still a starter, but right now is injured which is why he isn’t in the stating lineup.

ST/ AM (C) Cristian Bagnoli (25 years old)

Velez is losing players left and right from their youth clubs. This one would be sold after just one year again as Real Madrid would come calling for 4.8 million. Would only play in one game that year before being sent to their feeder club Castilla for two years. Instead of coming back to Real Madrid he would stay on loan to Helsingborg for a year before being sent to Castilla for three years. Since he didn’t crack Real Madrid first team he decided to leave and we, how we love people from Real Madrid or Barcelona, singed him. For the past two years haven’t found himself in a lot of games, but did play in 17 which was more than with Real Madrid.

ST Pedro Torres (22 years old)

Another Spanish player who got his start at Sevilla. A year later he would be bought by Real Madrid for 1.4 million. He would take the same route as Bagnoli and he wouldn’t play for Real Madrid for two years before being sent to feeder club Castilla where he would only play two games in two years. Another free transfer is more of just cover if we end up with the striker injuries of last year.

Super Cup Leg 1 @ Real Madrid 1-0 ‘Quick Strike gives us Lead’

Eduardo
Sepulveda--Georges--Hernandez--Vincente
Genes----Aragon
Sanogo----------------------Galarza
Careca---Vera

First shot on goal would give us a goal as Careca would score in the fourth minute. The rest of the game the only action was the ref giving out cards. Our team would pick up two yellows before they got their first card. Still their first one was to Marcelo (and no not our guy last year since he is on Arsenal) who would pick up a red card. In the second half seven more yellow cards would be given with just two for us as we play the second leg at our place.

We wouldn’t change our lineup for this game as he continue with the same XI. First half would be a bore as again the only excitement was the ref giving out yellow cards. Five cards in the first half with thee going to us. Second half we still wouldn’t slow down on cards as eight yellows would be shown, and yes no one picked up a double yellow, with three of them coming from our side. Still second half we would open up the scoring as Hernandez would head home a blocked shot to give us the lead. It looked to seal it, but just five minutes later they would score to cut bring it back to one. Just one minute before stoppage time and five minutes from their score Careca would score a low blasting shot to the corner to win the game and the Super Cup.

Again we would start out the game rusty as we couldn’t score for the second straight game in the first half. Still it wasn’t that upsetting since we held them scoreless as well. Two yellow cards in the first half, but both would be by them. Second half five more yellow cards would be shown with three to our squad. Still Galarza would score on a free kick to give us the lead with just twenty minutes left in the game. We still kept up our pressure on defense, and still would take our changes on offense. Barcelona would score an own goal to push the lead out of reach with just eight minutes left in the game as we would hold them scoreless and bring home the 3 million in prize money.

We were slight underdogs in this game on the road, but we wouldn’t play like it. They would actually score first, but we would break our two game scoreless streak in the first half with two goals by Careca (3) and Sanogo (1) who score on a penalty shot. Also would be the first game we wouldn’t come up on the score sheet with any cards either. Second half was dull to the first half with no scoring although Sanogo did have another penalty shot which he would miss it by banging it off the crossbar. Good way to start off the league though with a win against a very tough team on the road.

COACH RYAN: “I never though I would see the day that we would sell all of our seats for season ticket holders. I guess now that they (Board) will have to think about giving in to building a new stadium, or buying one since more fans means more money. Also we got ourselves probably one of the most even opponents in Champs League, but for the group overall difficultly I feel like we have a easier chance to advancing from last year. Still we haven‘t been made favorites to win since four teams have been , but we are the next team with 8-1 chance which I will take. Especially with the depth we have now I feel we should be one of the top four favorites to win. We like the underdog role though.”

At home we should of dominated and that is what the home fans wanted to see, but they saw us go down in the first half and head into half with a 1-nil hole. Second half we started off slow but would keep pounding shots. Finally we would find our goals on rebound shots. The first coming off of a free kick which looked to be easily had by their goalie, but the ball would pop loose and Aragon (1) was there to tap it in. Next was Vera rocketing a shot from outside the box and all the goalie could do was put up his hands. It would bounce to the opposite side where Careca (4) for the easy netter.

Vera (3) would get his first two goals on the season in the first half. They would pull it back by one right before half. Still playing at home we would not be shaken since the second half we would still come out on the attack full throttle. Hernandez (2) wouldn’t let Vera have all the fun as he would score off of a set piece, but Vera would cap off the game in the 82nd minute with his hat trick goal as he would calmly round the goalie on a one-on-one to score.

Sanogo (2) would find the net which didn’t come from the PK spot for the first time all year in the third minute. That would be a sign for things to come as we would continue to put up names on the goal scoring list four more times in the first half. Two by Vera ( 6) and then two by Hernandez (4) which came off of a set piece and then a corner kick. They would score a goal right before half to break the clean sheet. Vera would be the only scorer in the second half as he would score on a 25 yard chip shot which made the #2 goal of the week list. Coach Ryan wasn’t a little upset with the first half goal, and did use three subs in this game to give some players a rest after half.

ADAM RYAN: “While our club is doing great we just finished our training facilities to upgrade everything that’s not on the pitch. We now have good training facilities and a good youth setup which is taking a step in the right direction. I will sit down with the Board in a bit to see if we can start working on plans to see if we can spend some more money to upgrade some facilities with the club.”

GENES----------------------Galarza
Careca (2)---Vera

A goal in the third minute shocked us. This club not just feels that we should win every game, but that we shouldn’t give up a goal in the first ten minutes of the game. We are holding our opposition to not very many shots, but these goals on these limited shots are going to catch up to us if we can‘t seem to score. Especially when we double their shots in a game.” said coach Ryan after the game. For the rest of the first half most of the club looked like its life was sucked away with the goal. Still Careca ( 6) would score a goal to give us a tie heading into half time. Second half we would come out hungry and looked like the team we are and would start finding our groove and would be taking a lot of shots. Right before Vera was going to be substituted he would find Careca for the goal which would be the winning goal in the 79th minute.

Vera (9) would get things off to a bang with a goal within the first minute of the game as he took the ball straight through the defense. He wouldn’t let their team back in as he would score twelve minutes later off of a header which doesn’t happen a lot. Sanogo (3) would score next on a cross from Iago to tap in a shot since both defenders went to Vera who let to go past him. We again would let a goal in the first half to break the clean sheet as we went into half with a 3-1 lead. We would just cruise in the second half and would mostly play defense since they switched to an more attacking formation. Vera would get his third hat trick on the year in the 83rd minute off of a one-two pass between Careca. First bad news on the year happens in the last game of the month as Genes will now miss the next month due to an injury.

LEAGUE AND ECC STANDINGS

View attachment 132140View attachment 132141

Didn’t take a picture of the Champs league, but we are tied for first with 3 points with Olympique Lyonnais after one game. As for the league we are not that shocked to be undefeated, but even more so that the top four teams in the league are duking it out. Real Madrid after the loss to us in the Super Cup as torched everyone they played in the league so far as they are 18-1 on goals/goals against to give them first place. We are second with our 16-5 and just -6 on goal differential. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have allowed less goals than us, with Barcelona the only team who hasn’t allowed a goal, but both have a tie on the year. Sevilla is trying to keep pace with the top four teams, but with a loss to us it looks as if they might be already out of the race.

Finances

View attachment 132144

We all know that we have huge salaries and a small stadium. Still its the first time in a while that we are getting TV Revenue (3.18M) as our main income for the month. Still with that we loss 1.91M, but it is very promising since we only had one Champs league game. Next month when we play both games means we could actually have less than one million for a loss which would be great. That is if everything goes to play in Champs league and we have that much tv revenue.

Okay its a new layout. Hey what do you know for the second straight year. Feedback is appreciated so please tell me what you think. Thanks! and hope you enjoy it.

love the new layout keep it up choices!

Thanks. Debating if I can clean it up some. I am not sure, always seems like a work in progress. This will be the layoutI will be using, but might have some changes here or there. Although I will say that I will be cutting back from my normal 2 month posts in one to just one month. It would be way too long to read now with 2 month posts, so now it gives me more time to play my other two saves.

Been following story, your definately the most skilled manager at fm on this site (out of what i seen)

Thanks. I haven't used my own tactic in this year yet, only cause I haven't had a drop in play, but I appreciate the acknowledgment though. I don't think that I am as great as some people. I am more known to keep finances up than actually being a skilled manager. Plus I have a really good team and surprising for cheap as well. I just really can't wait for a new stadium or a bigger one so I can actually increase my wages some cause in like 2 years I might be selling a bunch of my players.

They would out shoot us. That would probably be the only thing that they really dominated us during this game. We were somehow huge underdogs, or when I say huge I mean bigger underdogs than normal which means we usually should tie a game. Still by out shooting us we have three times more shots on target than they did. Plus we had a 3-nil lead at half that basically destroyed them. Not cause we already had three, but two of them came from the PK spot as Sanogo (5) would easily hit both in the bottom left hand corner. Careca (7) would always get in on the action in the first half as he would split between both center backs from a nice though pass from Vera to easily score against a defenseless goalie. Second half we didn’t need that much scoring so we would bring in some subs, but before Vera (7) left in the 62nd minute he would score a goal. Apparently deleted the Deportivo picture with all of last months pictures as well since I don't have it and played that game last month as well. So the only picture we have is the injury report of one of our starters going down for a little more than a month.

The two hottest teams in the league meet up early in the year for the first time in the league. Still it would be the third time this year they faced off with us barely winning both games. First game at home and we took the highest scoring team and made them look like amateurs to show that we are for real and that we are not just a one hit wonder. We would use the same lineup as the previous Champs league game and would still not slow down as he scored five goals this game. All of them would come in the first half with Galarza (3) picking up his hat trick in the first half with only one coming from a set piece. Aragon (2) would be the other midfielder in the first half to show that not just our strikers can score goals on this team. Careca (8) would take over the scoring lead from Vera right before half with a nice move to hold off a defender and also slot it pass the goalie.

Sepulveda got injured early in the game and had to come out after just six minutes of play. “Last year we would be in panic mode. We didn’t have the depth and would have to move Marcos back there to help cover. This year its not that worrisome since we do have a bench and can use people in their right positions. Still the injury isn‘t that bad and he will probably miss the Champs league, but should be back for the next league game.” said a relieved coach Ryan when talking about the injury. Vera (8) would chip another shot over the goalie as he is getting very good at doing that even with a defender on his hip. Next would be Hernandez ( 6) right before half to score off of a free kick as he would head one home right above the defender standing on the post. Second half we didn’t need much, but for the whole month we been scoring at least four goals again so Hernandez would get his second after a bad mistake to come out for a corner would tap one home as the ball bounce right too him. Careca (9) would score just four minutes later and looked for the shutout to be on, but just nine minutes left they would get a lucky good to break out clean sheet again.

We would jump out first with a Vera (9) goal. It looked like we would be on our way except for thirteen minutes later Hernandez would pick up a straight red. That red would be the first red card we got all year, and that put us in a tight spot since they would score just five minutes later. That would be the last of the scoring as we need our first game of the year with a tie. Still we are first in the group stage by a point, and showed that we should easily win the second leg games since two are at home. That is of course we pick up another red card.

Match 8 vs. Real Sociedad (15th, 2-1-4) 5-0 ‘Defense finally gives clean sheet in league’

Teixeira----Galarza
Sanogo (2)----------------------Aragon
Careca---Vera (2)

Only two changes to the lineup and its basically the starting XI back to full strength. And we would have our foots on the peddle the whole game. Four of our five goals cause in the first half with two goals from Sanogo (7) and Vera (11). Vera now is the first person to double figures in goals, and has some close competition though. Second half we would get another goal by Hernandez (7) again off of a bouncing ball during a free kick. (I checked cause DeMerit scored a lot of headers off of corners and the tactic that I am using it is set at mix not just back corner. Also a lot of times the balls always seems to get knocked down into the box and Hernandez like DeMerit was always in the right spot and was able to sneak it one in so its not the corner glitch for people wondering. Plus even when Hernandez isn't starting in that spot no one else is scoring a bunch of goals either from that spot).

Spanish Cup 5th Round @ Villanovense 2-3 ‘First loss again comes in Spanish Cup’

Like every other year for the first round of Spanish Cup games we rest all of our starters and let the backups and under 18’s play. This year is four times as better than last year and let we find ourselves down after the first leg. Also doesn’t help that Renondo gave up three fouls in the box and they luckily only made two of the penalty kicks to be down by just one. Still we play the second leg at home and our fans are as rowdy and crazy as anyone in the world. Plus we picked up a red card as well late in the game so it didn’t give them another chance to add on anymore goals. Still we were able to score two goals by Bagnoli (1) and Raul (1) to at least give us some away goals.

LEAGUE AND ECC STANDINGS

Two months in the books for the league and it looks as if we can’t be slowed down. Most fans are a little worried about the loss in the Spanish Cup, but when you are undefeated in the league that eases their minds. Shocking to know that we are in first, but we are tied for fourth best defense in the league with giving up just a hair under one goal a game. Still three teams are without a loss and still is a close race with the top four teams. It looks to be a race to the finish and right now we are in control of that and everyone else. Right now we are the toughest team to beat in the league, when we actually play our starters, and Barcelona (once) and Real Madrid (three) times this year haven’t figured out a way to beat us.

As for the Champs league we are in first after the first leg, which we should be, even if it is by just one point right now. We are blazing though Champs league even with the red card that gave us a draw as we have scored 9 goals in 3 games.

If we would of won the second Champs league game instead of tied we could have been under 500K for a loss. Which would of be the losses loss in the month since our third year with the club. Still under a million is the best in a long time and we are loving the TV revenue.

The second picture is the Board is happy we only loss one game all year and am sitting in first place in the league so they decided to raise our current transfer budget from 4.M1 to 12.25M. Coach Ryan doesn’t know why since we don’t need to buy anyone and we already took the rest of our transfer budget from the beginning of the year and put it in our wages. Still its good to see the board putting money for us we just wish it was for a new stadium or to start building facilities.
