I see. So they've run through their limited repertoire and have resorted to playing the same ones they did at the start.

Wonder how many millions that show cost? dread to think

Fergie looks like a ******* horse - disgusting.

They're wank, but as a performance/spectacle - something to watch on telly (without sound) it was pretty awesome :)

Oh Jake. Biggest spectacle on Earth? Give me a break. Biggest spectacle on Earth for the Americans, maybe.

This thread is freaking hilarious.

Love reading the comments from the confused brits XD

It's an interesting aspect since I'm american, usually it's the same way when Americans watch soccer, they don't have a clue whats going on.

And this game is pretty action packed for a football game, they don't score on every possession, just like in soccer.

Plus the "stop and go" adds tactical flair to the game as the stoppage is for calling specific plays.

Oh, btw the designated kickers make pretty good money because the NFL makes an incredible amount that they can afford to pay these guys a million a year. However, if you have a few bad games you'll find yourself out of a job quick as a kicker.

pps, back in the day it was common for football players to play both offense and defense + kicking.

I was really looking forward to the half-time after hearing it had some of the best commercials ever and what not.

Then the Black Eyed Peas come on stage and ruin it for me with their bad music.
Unbelievable.

"Neon" Deon Sanders? Didn't he play defensive back and wide reciever?

But football is so simple! 22 people, two goals, don't go outside lines, stick ball in goal. Of course, there are offsides, but that's about it in terms of complexity.

There's tactics in football, rugby, cycling and so on and so forth, they don't need a thirty second rest after running five yards.

Hm. Fair enough, I guess specialisation evolves as games do.

Woodson out. Shields will be back. Woodson's meant to be good, right?

Prefer Baseball tbh, nevertheless I am watching it just because I am generally just a sports fan. C'mon Stealers!

As the only one whos supporting the Packers in this thread do i get to gloat?

I used to love watchin baseball-til 5 stopped showing it. Even though MLB offered games for no payment

Last year, only the champions league final had more viewers than the superbowl (think thats what they said yesterday anyway) most profitable sport in the world iirc.

Think i'll go to bed and watch highlights after college tomorrow.

PS. Whats happened to the New England Patriots recently? Thought they were quite good?
