An amazing season in the Championship. Only 3 losses and the best defence in the league (by 1 goal). This was mainly through the improved quality of the team. Just the Premier League to go. English Hero achievement complete.

And you never change tactic at all? Keep playing the same in away matches?

I would assume that he uses the same approach he describes in the OP :)
v2 for any hard games, e.g. home and away against topteams + away against mid teams on good form
v1 for the rest
(v2 + counter mentality for defending a result)

so because you did this with Vanarama Conference League 2 and League 1 it should work for Vanarama South and North?

Yes it does work. I was very much tinkering with the tactic in the conf north. It wasnt as good as it is now. I think you assistant is going to tell you noone can play roaming play maker, false nine or complete wing bank (With the green circles) Just stick with it and put your best out.

I switch between v1 and v2. I also switch between them during games as well as before. And I sometimes alter the defensive line depending on opponent. But all that is, is changing play higher to play deeper nothing else.

I have before switched to counter for a hard match BUT i didnt concede any less shots than I do with attacking so I ditched that idea.

Very good tactic, I´m using only v1 with Bilbao (of course not a top team caused by restriction to basque players)

Just want to make sure i have this training correct..

My Defender (L) I set for Full back (Left side), Defender (C or CL) i sent for Ball playing defender Left side, same with CR or C but for Right side, Defender R is Full Back Right side

Wingers - I have set as AM obviously AM (R) is Winger on the right and AM (L) is the left side AM (C) can play either side.

Roaming playmaker, Deep Lying Playmaker i basically have that set for my midfielders and then have my CR strikers set for Complete forward as my CL or Left Side Strikers as Advanced Forward or do i have that setup wrong?

I have your OI setup and which would u prefer for U18 and U21 squad V1 or V2?

Im 10 games into the season and so far
W: 4
L: 2
D: 4

my two loses were using V1 and the other ones using V2... So in other words ive had more success with just using V2 then switching back and forth.

I'm still storming the league with this unreal tactic. If anyone is looking for a cheap roaming playmaker, you can get Sergi Roberto from Barcelona for 2.2 million in January. I bought him for back up to Lucas Romero, and he's been brilliant. Depay has just won the European young player of the year for me too, if you've got 10 million buy him.

hey supermike, quick questions

1. what type of striker do you think works best in this tactic
2. should the inside forwards be actual inside forwards (right foot on left, left foot on right, etc)
3. what type of mids should the 2 mids be? (i'm guessing roaming playmaker is a more box 2 box and the advanced playmaker is kind of an iniesta/pjanic type?)

thank you very much for the help
