Dyer got a hatrick and Rescaldani got a brace this month, but one good game isn't enough, so I've gone for Massadio Haidara, as my player of the month. With one assist and an average rating of 7.6, he's been one of my most consistent performers so far this season and he's actually been keeping Ben Davies out of the team. Questions were asked of him when he came in to replace my disloyal ex captain, Neil Taylor, but he's come in and been very consistent.

Our last game of the month, ruined our perfect record in the league but as you can see we still have a very tidy gap between us and United. It's still fairly early days, but a thirteen point gap is fantastic, I can't see us being caught but we have to keep working hard, winning games.

It's been another great month for the lads, bar the West Ham result, which isn't too frustrating, when you consider our incredible start to the season. We also qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, with two games to spare, going on to cement top spot in our group, in that 4-0 win over BATE. Next time the fixture lists gets real, as we approach the busy Christmas period, with plenty of important league games.

To k
eep things simple, I tend to play the game like Barcelona, possession, tiki taka, high line, roaming, team pressing and high tempo. Of course you'll see by my tactics and the amount of yellow cards I stack up, unlike Barca I play incredibly aggressively, trying to bully the other team. Before i go on to the first tactic, I just wanted to say these tactics aren't absolute every game, i generally change depending on how i think the game will go.

The first tactic, is designed to dominate your opponent, keeping them penned in their own half. High tempo, plenty of creativity and like all of these tactics, I usually try to get my wing backs to hug the touchline, defending wide and making lots of overlapping runs, while my central midfielders defend more centrally.

Generally the inside forwards provide the main attacking outlets for the team, cutting inside, to shot or lay in their wing back, the striker or the other inside forward. A quick word on my center backs, apart from my keeper, generally these are the only players with low creative freedom, little player instructions and generally stick to their position. I like my players to defend around my center backs, I find if one of my center backs come pressing out of position, it causes my defense problems.

This one is is for close games, that I think will be evenly matched, similar to the first tactic, but less creative and attacking freedom, making sure the other team doesn't score.

As you can probably see by now, all of my tactics are very similar, this last one is all out attack, throwing every you have at your opponents, usually used towards the end of the game, when you need a goal, to change the outcome of the match.

I said in my post yesterday, the first one you use is for games you're favorite in, the second is for close games or games that you're the underdog in and the last one is all out attack when you need a goal to change the outcome of the match. I guess the players matter a lot as well, your back four and three central midfielders all need very well rounded attributes, be able to attack and defend, be physically, technically and mentally strong, your striker also needs to be offensively well rounded, etc. I was kind of reluctant to show my tactics but you guys asked, I feel like you should build tactics yourself, from scratch, find what works for you. The same goes for finding players to sign, as you'll need players that fit in to your tactic and play a style you like, though each to their own, I don't hold it against you for not using your own tactic.

That's great to hear, maybe try putting your own stamp on these tactics, see if you can change it to work for you. Something that works for me, might not work for you, because we play the game differently and have different players.

Superb story, really enjoying it so far

What's the latest with your world class regen? I might have missed it, is he on loan or in the youth squad?
