Sagna's also been really solid defensively. I think he's won every header so far and been great in attacks also.

Yeah it just demonstrates how reliant we are on wingbacks to make the team play well. Having half our attacks come down the right means when we play Djourou we're massively stunted. Especially as Sagna plays well with the midfield and has quick feet.

While the "headline" signing would be a CAM to drop behind RVP and create, and I don't deny we need strength in depth in that positon as the whole tactic doesn't work without that role working... of a higher priority must be to help Jenkinson improve. He already has the crossing, but we can't have Djourou back!

Great game last night, overall I thought the team was at best average with lots of missed chances. To win 2-1 against a very tough side was crucial in taking pressure off from the Everton game. Spurs have Bolton, Stoke and Chelsea coming up while our prority with no more Champions League must be at least 7 points from the next three games.

Didn't get to see the game but it sounds like it was a good performance and that we should of put the game away earlier but no complaints because they got it done. Only a point back from 3rd and all the momentum is with us and we have a real shot of getting third which given the start we had would be quite the achivement. Fourth straight game we've come from behind to win which shows this team is made of strong stuff. Glad for Theo to have had a good game, cops it unfairly at times so good on him for turning it on.

Should be mentioned that 3rd is crucial for other reasons, one is the additional income from 3rd spot versus 4th or below, which isn't nothing - and secondly we need to place highly this season to add value to the club, as our 8 year shirt deal with Emirates comes up for renewal this year, and currently we're getting around 5.5m per season versus Liverpool's 20m, Utd's 20m and City's 40m. With the recent new stadium to pay off, and talent to attract/keep, it can't be underestimated how much an extra potential 15m per season would help.

And the quaranteed CL group spot is the most important part of the 3rd place. There's some tough teams to beat next season for qualify for CL. In Italy looks like it's going to be Napoli or Lazio. France Lille, Toulouse or Etienne. Spain Malaga and from Germany Schalke. It's no cakewalk to qualify thats for sure.

We also hired that yank to oversee our business deals so it's about time he starts producing.

Third would also be important as it would allows us to bring in players as soon as the window opens as we would offer guranteed group stage and high chance of making the knockouts. You saw this season that we didn't bring in too many before we had a CL group spot sealed - except for Gervinho but he'd already decided to come here before the end of the previous season.

The news say he hasn't had medical yet. It is a bad thing to do it too early. What if Podolski gets injured in these 2 months of league games, or what if he gets injured in the Eurocup?

Apparently Podolski is keen on a move to Lazio thanks to Miroslav Klose. Also Park Chu Young does not have to do his military service so that might be a bit of a good thing.
