Make what you will:

Is that Fabregas' evil twin?

No... You sold Song because he had a bust-up with Wenger after you sold RVP to your biggest rivals. If you wanted M'Villa, you would have got him. Not wait till you could give him his favourite shirt
Song had been sulking for monhs because he wanted a new contract (more money) but the club wouldn't because he still had 3 years left on his current one. So van Persies move had nothing to do with Song.

If we get Sahin & M'Vila, we could play 4-1-3-2 : M`Vila behind Sahin - Santi - Arteta , with Dolski and Gerv upfront, now that`s quality midfield, 100% creativity in the middle of the park

M'Villa will bring the same problem that Song caused, both are amazing at passing and distributing the ball, but can be caught off guard defensively and occasionaly have poor judgement when going forward. Overall not really an improvement. If it was Barca would have gotten M'Villa instead :P

Was wondering when someone would say this... Song's move had nothing to do with Money. He probably will not be paid more at Barcelona anyways

He was on something like 40-50k with us and is earning 75 or so now at Barca.

18months ago we gave him contract and lots of people were wondering back then should he be sold. Then he came through and started demanding through his agent a new contract from january or so.

Everytime player makes more money after transfer it has to do with money. Mostly it's down to playing for Barca and having better chance of trophies than with Arsenal.

M'vila for club side plays more attacking role than what he does for France. IF we sign him he should be employed in that France role.

Would still prefer Capoue.

Actually - it did to an extent. Like I said, he wanted a bigger contract to take him up to the higher earners at the club. His request was rejected and he has been sulking since before he and Dein decided to threaten interest elsewhere and force Arsenal into a new deal. Wenger decided if he wasn't fully committed to the club, he could go.

Wenger seems to have altered his formation in the last couple of years to not playing a defensive mid. Song wasn't defensive he was just our most defensive midfielder.

Actually since we signed Arteta it's been him that's been the most defensive. Good example is when Vermaelen got forward it wasn't Song who stayed behind to cover. It was Arteta.

Song arrived at Barcelona for his medical today. Will sign tonight presented tomorrow.

Arsenal are also expecting to sign Nuri Sahin in the next 48hrs. It seems like the phone call from Wenger worked.

Tottenham now lead the chase for Yann M'vila after a spokesperson for Rennes declared they were negotiating with Tottenham. It looks like Sahin and Mexes will be our last two signings the latter in a deal with AC Milan that will probably see Nicklas Bendtner go the other way. These are just the big rumors anyways.

I doubt the Mexes-Bendtner rumors are true. We already have Vermaelen, Koscielny and Mertesacker,Djourou as backup. Wenger is hopefully looking to bring in a new dm and Sahin. Hopefully M'vila or Capoue. Most likely we will get Biglia though.
