I support Liverpool so hes in the bad books with me at the min because of the way hes getting on. So disappointed in him! had to sell him and get the funds for another striker and a few other positions. Hope its going good for you TBH?

Have a read again in the Opening post about the concept. Changing to Rigid will as you see make no difference what so ever. Naturally, you can try it with a team like york etc and it might work brilliantly but it will always be a really compact way of playing Fluid in that sence that all players contributes to all phases of the play.

With a lower league team, I do think you will get away with it as the opponents are **** to but with a heavy underdog in the EPL having players not up for the task, one would struggle as the opponents are so much better.

What do you thinking about changing wingers into inside forwards?

got world class inside forwards, they´re all better than at the winger role

(much better role for Reus, Gotze, Muller, Ozil, Kroos, Schurrle )

I'm trying this one out with Middlesbrough (process of elimination since your other tactics haven't succeeded with the Boro).

Do you have a back up tactic to use if a game is going 'pear shaped' ? I was thinking of your High Risk tactic or do you just click on overload when your are getting thrashed ?

With this tactic, I just plugged and played. Tbh, I don't know if its any good on this patch.

Early days yet but the side is nearly fluid in the tactic. I noticed one thing though - you don't have any player on the posts when defending corners or free kicks, something my assistant seems to frantically point out every match - any reasoning behind that ? The wingbacks are man marking instead.

Well, its because its you Always have to setup your own set pieces in My tactics. Iirc, I used this setup in FM12 to even out the fact the we always score too much from corners no matter what settin I used.

Yes please, I am getting very frustrated with Middlesbrough. Every game a defender decides to dawdle on the ball and lose it - usually a goal to the oppo, every game we concede on set pieces. Can never recall the ME being so awful with defending on FM 12. Last Game at Wolves look like this

hey tbh i can understand why get upto 50 msg a day lol im thinking newport county because they would be a challenge, using a flat 442 rigid attacking what do u think of this? could you work with this im only thinking rigid because im thinking they wont be able to handle say fluid or others? thanks tbh

I would say that a Rigid or a Balanced system would be a good starting point. As for a Flat 442, that would need for you to play with a higher d-line that if using a DMC sitting in the hole as a shield. When playing in the lower leagues and wanting to climb the ladder, I always find its best to build the approach around the kind of players you are likely to attract to the club. Whilst your players wont be able to compete in technique, decision, creatovity and passing, you can still manage to get your hands on some really strong cebntral midfielders and some quick wingers. This measn that for me, the best approach is to use a 451 ( dmc,mc,mc) and try to win the midfield battle and lauch t-balls down the flanks.

Hey TBH

Just a personal opinion of yours I am after.... I am playing as Swansea and I am not sure what I should set the team 'tempo' to be. Now logically people always think fast tempo is better, but with a team like Swansea is it best to set it to more on the slow side, in or order to retain the ball and wait for the right opportunities, rather than rushing and losing possession quickly?

What's your thoughts on this?

Results so far - not exactly setting the crowd alight at the Riverside (just the usual then LOL). Started just asking Mark Venus my assistant for OIs from the Blackpool League cup game onwards - seems to have calmed down the leaky defence.

Actually, I dont think this tactic is any good in this patch. After all, it was made in Fm11 and whilst it worked for the earlier patches, I does not prodyce results anymore

I have uploaded a brand new Narrow Diamond in the Opening post for you to have a look at. I have not tested it much. Its basiclly a different version of my new "Compact 442", here using the Narrow Diamond

Not that I know of. I have been testing my new 451 but only with better teams but you are more than welcome to try it with your team. You might want to play with slightly less width though

Whilst many settings are tweaked, you should still look at the roles for the needed stats( apart from the FC that can be your normal mobile FC). If wanting to change the roles of the wingers and the FC, then just go ahead
