***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

Hey TBH :D

Just a personal opinion of yours I am after.... I am playing as Swansea and I am not sure what I should set the team 'tempo' to be. Now logically people always think fast tempo is better, but with a team like Swansea is it best to set it to more on the slow side, in or order to retain the ball and wait for the right opportunities, rather than rushing and losing possession quickly?

What's your thoughts on this?

Many thanks as always! :D

I would say that its all depening on your squad, the kind of formation you are using and the roles within it. What strategy and formation are you using ?

Not that I know of. I have been testing my new 451 but only with better teams but you are more than welcome to try it with your team. You might want to play with slightly less width though

Whilst many settings are tweaked, you should still look at the roles for the needed stats( apart from the FC that can be your normal mobile FC). If wanting to change the roles of the wingers and the FC, then just go ahead

thank you very tbh ill get right on it :)

With the new compact version , are there still opportunities to change to attack (with pass to space) and defend (take a breather/tea break and a kit-kat) ?

I shall start the seaon over again with my beloved Boro and get back to you with the results

Well my strategy obviously changes a fair amount due to the opposition I play against but I prefer more of a 'control' type setup against sides I favour myself against. Formation wise again isn't really stuck to one in particular but it's mainly formation with like 4-2-3-1.

no, this makes it a plug & play

No i mean the one in the OP, that is not the Dark version :)

Those screens are from late 2012 and they look just like the one I am using now and as I am looking at it as we speak, it says FM2013 Dark.

Edit: if you are refering to the layout of them ( the formation being just next to the team instructions etc), its cut & paste.

Well, I would actually stick with the tempo that comes with your approach. If playing a shorter more possession based approach within the standard strategy, It means that you will play slowish. If wanting to increase the tempo, then just use the "get ball forward shout". Here, ist important to have advanced players making moves into channels, as well as some players coming deep to provide an easy pass

When playing slower with shorter passing, its more important that those runs from deep comes from..well deep. Here, I would use more free roles and movenet into channels rather than runs from deep from at least 2 of your front 2 along with the wingbacks getting forward on a reagular basis

I am really confused because this does not look like the Dark skin that i have, are you sure that this is the dark skin that you are using ? :)

OIs ? or not OIs, that is the question. :P

I only use them as a way to battle the problems I actually see on the pitch. But think about it, if the oppositions holds possession in advanced positions due to that their Lone FC( target man, complete FC on support etc) holds on to the ball until his teammates gets forward, then he should be closed down always. If their DMC is getting to mych time on the ball so that their players can get wide into their attacking position, dragging our team apart, then he should be closed down always. If their wingers seems to get inside and shot at goal, then show them down the line etc etc

I am going to merge all my threads into my main thread Tomorrow. This means that all these post will be found in my Tactic Center Thread and a link to the opening post will be found in the OP of main thread

Thread under re-conctruction as I am merging all my tactics into this thread ( links to the different tactics will be working later today)
