I've been using this tactic for one season now. I was promoted after three seasons to German second division and I was managing Saarbrücken at the time. I had 50k/week salary budget and no transfer at all. After the first eight games I was sitting at the fourth position. Then I beat Gladbach at their home and their manager got fired and they also offered new job for me. Rest of the season I was lost only two games and played one tie while managing this new team. The other match was in German Cup semifinals agains Dortmund and the other one after winning the Second division against some team fighting to avoid relegation.
Now I have played first few matches in the first division. 1-1 tie at home against Stuttgart and 1-5 win against Wolfsburg(second biggest German team in my save) and just won 4-2 against Hertha BSC. I didn't get any transfer budget for the first season and also my salaries were cut from 425k->350k so I lost couple of good players in the summer because I couldn't afford new contracts. Basicly I'm playing with the same team as in the lower division and still winning. Now I'm just afraid of the injuries, I have basically no depth for strikers, if the one is gone I have no one to replace him. Should be interesting season.
This tactic produce high paced football and I love to watch it. I've noticed that after my offensive corners I seem to be very vulnerable against counter attacks. Most likely it's because of my awfully slow defenders though. Counterattacks seems to be how I concede goals mostly. Thanks for the tactic, this must be the best tactic I've used in fm since I've played it(2010 was the first). Oh yeah and I've been lurking here for two years now but I just had to reply to this, I'm so impressed with the results.
