***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

brilliant, thanks...will def give em a try out...am i a "guinea pig" for these then? lol
any need to know stuff, ie, pitch size, oi's, attributes, etc?

NOt really, I have had some really good feedback from others, I just have not uploaded them yet. As for stats, just look at the settings. ONed MC have more creative freedom, one has less, the outer AMCs goes for goal and whilst the central AMC is more advanced, he should be at the end of the move later in attacks. Nio OI´s, PItch size = More narrow no that the opponet dont get too much space out wide, longer as we play through the middle ( so its not conjested etc )

cool, and thanks again...still in pre-season...im torn between the deep 442, and the new tactics...maybe i'll give em both a go, and see which seem more comfortable right away

Well, if you have 2 good FCs, then go for the deep 442 :d

early doors i know, but first league game against real sociedad - 5-0 home win!...the 5th, a 30 yard screamer from my sub dmc.
using 442 deep...less press 1st half - 2-0 up, then changed to more press, 2nd half
also had a disputed goal disallowed, one cleared off the line, and their gk making two cracking saves.

on the 2 games so far played, the ball is being pinged about, which is really attractive to watch, but my players arent that brilliant technically, and maybe mentally, which means silly loss of possession at times. Against the big teams, i could see us getting punished. could i lower the passing slider perhaps?
what ive seen so far looks good, but im dubious about my squad depth, not the tactic.

Great start. Well, the tactic is not about holding possession but getting the ball into advanced positions in a direct approach. When those passes fail, we do give away the ball but we do restrict the opponent to having their share of possesion in un-dangerous positions so I would not worry that much. When facing Real or Barca though, I would not hope to win as their players are just too good. I meet Barca at home with my Sociedad side and we lead 2-0 before Messi decided to to score 3 goals on his own so... :D, I did win home against Real and against Barca in te cup but away....we got trashed 3-0. 4-2

If you wold like to test a "460", then here is one. The SOC2v3 = HIgh press and the SOC3= Low press. I am actuallt top of the league with Sociedad using these tactics. I have been using HIgh Press ( SOC2) at home and being a good favouriteI and Lower press ( SOC3) away and against teams where I am an underdog. The OUter AMCs are the "strikers" and the central AMC the more complete one

Using this with WBA atm, and its working out really, really good. No transfers and no only 3 goals from corners so far ( on 14 matches)

Edit: They do have a really good squad for playíng this 460 approach

BETA VERSION OF THE

DEEP&NARROW 4231

UNDERDOGS/MIDDLTEAMS AND TOPTEAMS

Here you find 4 versions

- TOPTEAM HIGH PRESS
- HIGH PRESS
- LOWER PRESS
- SUS

The Topteam version uses more width and is used against those deepsitting defensive teams
The High press and the Lower press are the main versions just like in the other formations I have uploaded
The SUS is when you want to Shup Up Shop

FC - A more complete FC
AMC - A more limited hardworking player. Like a TQ but withouit the creative freedom and with defensive duties
Outer AMCs - Attacking AMCs. If you want to use more width in advanced positions, then use left on left, right on right, using AMC/R and AMC/L players
DMCs - MOre creative deep DMC/MC´s

I full indepth description will be out when I have played some more matches and got some feedback

currently using your underdog 4-2-1-2-1 tactic with forest, only played 4 games so far so early days, ive won all 4 matches but my problem is there having alot more shots than i have, is that natural with this tactic mate? i know its listed as a underdog tactic etc, but i aint the underdog every match lol, cheers

If you mean the deep 42121, then yes, its meant to be à tactic that invites pressure. If the opponent gets more CCC's and more shots on goal from good positions, then its à problem. Normally, we do restrict them into taking longshots, headers over the bar etc, whilst we often only need 3 CCC's to score 3 goals.

yeah, so far this tactic is class, the counter attacking is amazing, ive played 9 games so far won 8 and drawn 1. quality tactic mate, thanks

If I find time tonight, I will make a Top team HIgh press version to. Not that you will need it next season ( in the EPL), but it might come in handy later on, just like it would in the end of your first season when teams starts playing defensive against you.

Here is a small beta of my latest tactic.
The set consists of 5 versions, all to be used depending on what team you play
with or who you are up against, the flow of the game
etc.

The versions

1 - Slow & Wide Control
This is a version that I use against teams sitting really
deep and that are defending good. I use it as a patient possession breakdown tactic. If the opponent are playing nervously or cant cope with your attacks, then the normal "2-ATTACK" will do just fine

2 - Attack
Your basic attacking version. If the opponent sit deep and
your attacks are easily defended, the consider using the version
above

3 - Quick & High press Counter
Here you find 2 Counter versions, one that is far more agressive and are to be used against teams that you feel you should be able to beat. We play quick and narrow and with lots of movement...

.... and the 4 - Lower press counter
that invites more pressure before launching counter attacks. Here, we play slower as we dont want to rush attacks too much when winning the ball deep in our own field or when just being in possession. When breaking up attacks high up in the field, these attacks will be launched quickly anyway since we play on
the counter

5 - CautiousHere, we play defensive, slow
and really compact. Naturally, its might be dangerous to sit this passive and invite too much pressure againt a team that is superior to you but its a great version to see out games with if your team is good enough to play and put in the effort for the whole 90 minutes. I use it away to tough opponents but carefully watch the game flow to spot if we are under too much pressure. I also use it
when I want to see out the game when 2 or 3 goals up and dont really need to
score more

The Players

Central defenders &Fullbacks - Nothing special
DMC - Hardworking and strong
MCleft - Playmaker type of player
MCright - Allround Central Mid with good movement
AMC - Attacking MIdfielder with great movement and passing
FC Left - Complete Forward
FCright - Advanced Forward, Complete Forward or
Deepcoming Forward

The link is in the opening post. Just remember that training, unlike some tactics, dont exploit the match engine/game so its no short cuts here. Just play the youngsters and then try to develop them into the roles you see fit, a way that suits you overall tactical approach

This has been working well for me, I don't have the best squad. Maybe a top 7 squad but am second so far, this is all with with not having the right players for the system. the 3 behind the striker are all just competent in the positions, do you have some recommendations on players for these positions.

Thanks and a great tactic

I've decided to give this a go. I'm in my 3rd season with Arsenal now. I won the premier league the first season with Akash777's tactic, then did the quadruple in the 2nd season with a 4-3-3, but since I really like using a CAM in a 4-2-3-1 setting I'll check this out. Ramsey, Wilshere or Isco should be good enough for the Treq spot. (With Wilshere starting in CM though).

So I'll see how it goes and let you know. (I've only bought a few new names since the start of the game and never over 15 mil really, as is the arsenal way. :P) I've got a feeling André Ayew is going to be even better with this tactic then. ^^

EDIT: Also, is it possible to just swap the 2 CM roles? Since Wilshere is left footed and Song is right footed. I'd rather play them on their natural foot.

which tactic would you recomend for 2 strikers in a huddesfield team who finished 9th in the prem last season and is looking for a place in europe?

If you have good wingers, them the deep 442. If you lack in wingers, then the narrow diamond
