***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

Great tactic, i'm loving using it in my save. Took over at Chelsea season 13/14 and played a full season with it. Won the league with 92 points, scored 127 goals and had a GD of +97! Beat in the CL final.

Highlight of the seaon for me was my highest scoring ever league game, I beat Fulhan 12-3!!! I have had higher winning margins in friendly games but that is insane for a Premier League game.

Great results! Care to upload some screens ?

Will do.

I've decided to take the job I got offered at City, see if I can use the same tactic there with such great effect. I will upate at the end of the season.

Looking forward to seeing your results with them. I tested this tactic with the default city squad and it rocked

Narrow 41221 BOX Midfield - Plug & play

Here you find another Direct Counter formation
As this is a very narrow formation, its important that you have players with flair that are able to break the pattern, especially when playing with a top team. When the opponents sits deep and flood the midfield, you will see some longshots and a poor shots on goal ratio. Its just the reality with these kind of tactics. I have had no trouble beating teams though, I am actually unbeaten against teams where I am the favourite but dont expect do dominate possession and create 10 CCC´s. As written, its a direct counter approach within a narrow formation

The screen above is from the Top Team version. As in the other Narrow formations, we focus the play through the middle and play a more direct counter strategy. As this is a quick update, the info will not be indepth.

This small set consist of 3 versions that are to be used as plug & play tactics. The first version is a " Underdog/MiddleTeam High Press", the 2nd a "Underdog/MiddleTeam Lower press" and the 3rd " Is a "High Press version" for top teams only". Playing as an underdog, the main versions are the naturally the Underdog ones. If you feel that you have the ability to disturb the opponent by putting a **** of a lot more pressure on them, then use the high press and if you are more scared that you might be dragged out of position by this superior team, then use the lower press version. When seeing that the team stops to close down as a unit, Its also a good option to use the Lower press version, no matter what teams you are or what team you are facing

FC- A more complete FC
- If this player like to come deep to get the ball, the hole migh tbe too crowded unless both AMCs really likes to move into those channels and get forward

AMCs - False 10´s, Inside Fcs ( or one TQ at the most)
-Here you can still use a TQ that like to drop deep as long as the FC dont and the other AMC drift or gets forward

MC´s - Allround Mcs with the left one beimg the more creative with better decision
- The Left MC is the one getting the highest rating in my team

DMC - Strong Holding DMC
-
This player need to be strong to hold off the opponent

DR/L - Fullbacks, Wingbacks on attack.
- Look at their settings and you will find they are different. Use the on that suits your players. ( better crossing, then use the " cross often" setting. Better passer, use the "t-ball often "setting). In the Underdog versions, they are set the same.

Notice that if wanting to use all 3 in one save, you have to put them all into the match prep and maybe rename them so that yuou call tell the difference ( as only the 10 letters or so are visible)

This small set consist of 4 versions that are to be used as plug & play tactics.
The first version is a " Underdog/MiddleTeam High Press", the 2nd a "Underdog/MiddleTeam/TopTeam Lower press" and the 3rd " Is a "High Press version for top teams only".

Now, the 4th versions then. Well, its a "Compact and Tight" version used when one wants to sit with men behind the ball and keep possession when breaking up attacks. This does not mean that it will see you have 60+ % possession but it will let you keep it when needed, often restricting the opponent to having their share of the possession in undangerous areas. This version is to be seen as a compliment to the Lower press version only here, we dont seek to get the ball forward as soon as possible.

FCRight- A more complete False Nine FC-

FCCenter - The main Goalscorer, what did you expect. After all, he is playing in the central FC position in a 4123 !

FCLeft - A strong Defenisve FC, Deeplying FC etc. Naturally, you can use an advanced FC or a complete False Nine here to but the role is slightly more limited.

MC´s - Allround Mcs with the left one beimg the more creative with better decision
- The Left MC is the one getting the highest rating in my team

DMC - Strong Holding DMC
- This player need to be strong to hold off the opponent

DR/L - Fullbacks, Wingbacks on attack.

I am currently working on some 460 tactics ( 4 of them) and would need some people to test it for me

The formations are

Narrow

Flat 4 - DMC-DMC -MC - AMCR - AMC - AMCL
Flat 4 - DMC-MC -MC - AMCR - AMC - AMCL

Wide
Flat 4 - DMC-DMC -MC - AMR - AMC - AML
Flat 4 - DMC-MC -MC - AMR - AMC - AML

Its the same approach as in the other tactics

Top team high press
Underdog/MIddle team high press
Underdog/Middleteam lower press
Tight & Compact
..and.. a shut up shop version

Interested in giving me some feedback over the weekend ?, then just send me a PM, telling me what formation and what team you are going to use

Cheers

Could you please help me with creating or finding a tactic for man utd?

Really want to get into a long term save over the summer, used a lot of tactics which massively overachieve in the first season and then cant perform in the second :(

I have recently switched to your Deep & Wide 4222 based on Tactical Creator. Playing FM I like to experiment a lot with a different tactics and amongst many I tried almost every of your TC tactics. Cutting long story short – managing top team (or middle team) I was missing approach in away games or in home games against top teams that can be not to open but not to defensively at the same time and quite direct in attack. So with your Deep & Wide 4222 Balanced Approach I tweaked here and there to come up with this set up: Fluid, Standard, More Disciplined, Press More, Zonal Marking and More Roaming (rest on default). I changed wide players to Wingers on Attack duty, every player tweaked to zonal marking so it always stay this way and attacking players to loose zonal in order to give them more space when ball is won back and our team is attacking. With this set up I use:
  • Play out of defence,
  • Pass into space,
  • Play through defence,
  • Work ball into box,
  • Exploit the flanks
To be more attacking I use Play wider and Hassle opponents. So far I have had good results with this approach. What do you think about it?
With Deep & Wide 4222 I found out that Complete Forward can be crucial player if we have somebody who likes Comes deep to get ball and Tries killer balls often resulting with a lot of chances created for wingers and poacher. It could be attacking midfielder treined to a striker position - I play Jonjo Shelvy there in my Liverpool save and he is very good in this role.

thanks to your tactic the Wide 42121 i got my Crystal Palace team promoted to BPL in first season, rather easily, 1 point behind 2nd placed Leicester and direct promotion.
But anyway in the playoffs over Birmingham and West Ham in the finals i got to the BPL.
Just wanted to say thanks :)
