***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

I will download this now, looks quite good.Which teams would you recommend for this tactic?

Most teams probably but perhaps not those with 4 great strikers(such a waste). If the wingbacks are on the poor side, then you oculd use it anyway by just dropping them into FB position

Stoke, Sunderland and Norwich are perhaps teams that would benefit from using different formations though

SWINDON – READING ( Cup) 0-5

As I had no idea what to expect from this match, not knowing their style of play, I started with CAUTIOUS POSSESSION. When I saw that the fielded the 424 formation, I instantly dropped my Wingbacks into Fullbacks and switched to COUNTER. This way, we still channeled the play through the middle but from there with direct balls onto our wingers that had no trouble setting up our striker. When 3-0 up and Swindon started to play more cautious, I Pushed up the Fullbacks and switched to ATTACKING POSSESSION. Here, we controlled the flanks and held possession in advanced positions and had no trouble to score 2 more goals by playing patient and stretching their poor defenders so cruelly left being alone by their more attacking MC and front 4. It was no coincidence that our MC scored once more

GAME TWO
READING – LIVERPOOL 4-1

As Pool plays a 451 with AMR/L, I dropped the wingbacks into Fullback position. I started with CAUTIOUS POSSESSION and we scored 1-0, they scored and after we had managed to retain possession and scoring 2-1, I saw Pool pushing up so I switched to COUNTER. It paid off big time and it saw us hitting them on the break 2 times. In the end, it was closer to 5-1 than them getting back into the game.

This is GENIUS !
I was stuck with the spurs and some Russian muscles in Euro Cup .. These tactics were the Ultimate solution for now.
Testing and using them with Swans now.
Regards.

The Overload tactic is a piece of Art .. cute Swansea lamps are TURNED to PREDATORS !

Thats great ! Would you care to post some screens and perhaps a short description of a game and how the flow was, how you reacted ingame to the events you saw on the pitch ( like the one I have made with Reading) ?

Cheers

Certainly looks interesting and re-freshing in light of all the exploits going around. Great work as always.

Thanks :D

I am currently updating the opening post with recommendations on teams. The EPL is complete and will do Serie A, La Liga next and then move into the CCC.

Just wondering do you think this will work with Championship teams ?

Indeed it does. It actually works at all levels. Naturally, in the lower leagues( L1, L2 etc) one would probably use the COUNTER version along with the OVERLOAD more often as its more down to who dares to attack rather than a huge different in skills. When it comes to using wingbacks or players in the DR/L position, one will use the DR/L position more often in CCC and downwards due to the fact that the game is full of quick AMR/L even at lower levesl whilst getting the hands on really quick wingbacks/fullbacks that are able to read the game is much, much harder.

I have used this approach with Ipswich with really good reasult for about 15 competetive matches and here, I mainly used CAUTIOUS POSSESSION with Wingbacks, COUNTER with fullbacks and OVERLOAD( when really wanting a goal) with wingbacks

Thanks. Trying this with Chelsea save and its working great so far. Think I'm gonna give these tactics ago with Blackburn. See if I can get them promoted.

I might give it a go with them myself. I just tried it with Man U for 10 matches and as fun as it is winnning big, its not that rewarding in the long run.

In my Ipswich save, I found that COUNTER worked aboslutely best when using DR/L instead of wingbacks as the leagye is so even and full of pacey players, us sitting deep and lauching quick counter attacks payd of really well. I basiclly used that version for most parts of the game unless the opponent decidd to sit back ( then Overload) or when we lost out too much in possession( the CAUTIOUS)

Testing this with my Porto side at the moment, great so far. 18 goals and 0 conceded in 4 games, including a 4-0 thumping of Benfica away.

Great work.

Didn't go with Blackburn. Decided to go with Blackpool. So far so good. 1 game 1 win lol, 3-1 against Crystal Palace

Made a dominating tactic with this set-up a few weeks back loosely modelled on Brendan Rodgers' system at Swansea (&sort of Liverpool).

Trying this out with Fulham, beautiful football so far! Just won our last pre-season game 3 - 0 over Sporting CP without them even getting a shot, will post results after a season :)

keep looking at this tactic...if i didnt have other saves going on, id be very tempted to try this
