Even Zab was angry with tevez and hes probably the most level headed player at the club.

When your best friend at the club doesnt defend you, you've really screwed up

If I'm not mistaken, his actions alone could probably devalue him by 40-50 per cent aswell.

what are you talking about? he wasnt a model pro at any of those clubs! He has never been abused. There is no misunderstanding here, he refused to play under contract, thats unacceptable. The fine is only the beginning

I know the legalities of the contract, but you must have played the sport we love so much no?... well as a player who is payed so much a star in world football, an icon to kids in Argetina, how would you like to see your manager who you have already had problems with turn to a defensive Mid fielder ? hence a misunderstanding...This was wrong on Mancini's part... True Teves should have gone on, but this is not the first time a player has refused and dam sure wont be the last, (anyone remember Figo Vs Liverpool?) He has become a scapegoat only because of the wages he has earned....how has this been just? Dont get me wrong it is worthy of a fine and Teves will need to relocate clubs... it will go further but it is not all his fault...

In respect to your comment about his pprofessionalism cab you provide an example please... I would of hated to be chased out of United too so dont use the he moved to city rivals card..

Nothing would please me more than see City sack Tevez and FIFA to ban him from football. And take Tevez to the cleaners in court. I hope he loses as much as possible.

Not only did he refuse to go on the pitch, he is lying that he didn't.

No offence but neither you nor i can with any definity state Teves lied.... As much as a FIfa ban this would be way way to far, i mean why are managers allowed so much slack then?

Hardly iconic material now tbh. Icon or not, he was supposed to be a professional, but instead left Mancini in the crapper, and let a **** of a lot of fans down, kids who worship him. Misunderstanding does not cut it whatsoever, especially when reading previous comments he pretty much contradicts what he said. Which makes him a liar. Football here doesn't want his kind.

how about forcing his way out from every club he has been out, or for constantly whinging in the press about not being given a contract at united when in fact he was (and he had no intention of signing it). He wasnt chased out of united either so please, get your facts right re: Tevez, or just dont bother

His standing is completely irrelevant. He isnt the manager. mancini brought on de jong witha view to then bringing on Tevez. He refused to go on the pitch. After the fact that mancini has done everything possible for him.

Whether some else has done it is also irrelevant. He refused to play for Mancini, Mancini is done with him, by refusing to play, he has most likely breached the terms of his contract. All else is largely irrelevant

I would probably think to myself 'Wow, ok, so the manager has changed our tactic, and I don't fit in it when we are only playing one striker, as Aguero is still on the pitch. Hopefully, the manager will want to bring Aguero off soon, as he has been booked, and bring me on so I can try and score some goals.'

Not: 'I am a ****, I will sit here, acting all cunty, crying about not playing. I have told them I want to leave, but they still keep paying me my ******* wages! Why do they expect me to play, it's not like I am under contract or anything.. '

Simple.

Interesting point of view but i rate your opinionated version of what he was thinking was over the top.... I'm not saying he's right, i'm not suggesting other players would of refused to go on, i'm just saying i can see the circumstances under which he did refuse... He is not the only man at fault..and he is being used as a scapegoat for a number of things..

Look i'm not here to get into an arguement but your "facts" as far as i'm concerned are hearsay... I agree he was wrong just stating my points..

hardly hearsay, its a fact that he forced his way out of all his previous clubs through various machinations under his agent. its a fact that he wasnt forced from united, its a fact that he wasnt a model professional at those clubs.

So you agree he was wrong? Good, then he cannot complain with the punishment meeted out to him

To put into context how much trouble he is, figures at both the Premier League, and the PFA (who support players in issues like these) think he is in a sackable position

specialist sports lawyer Richard Cramer speaking to BBC Sport: "Mancini has come out and said he will never pay for this club again. That in itself could be regarded as breach of contract on the part of Manchester City. "It is called a repudiatory breach - to say to a player that you will never play for this club again effectively deprives the player of the opportunity to carry out his work.

"In hindsight Mancini would be better saying absolutely nothing and taking the appropriate disciplinary action against Tevez that would have been a two-week fine and a suspension. There is a set procedure within a player's contract, usually consisting of a written warning, then a final written warning and then the last resort of dismissing a player. What we don't know is if Tevez is subject to ongoing disciplinary proceedings. But, if it is true that he refused to play yesterday, that borders on gross misconduct which would entitle City to sack him. If they find that Tevez's act is beyond the realms of those of a normal player, City may just be able to construct a case against Tevez claiming he is deliberately putting himself in breach of contract, forcing the club to dismiss him for gross misconduct and that entitles them to recover some of the losses.

"But that is unusual. If City want some compensation for him the best way to pursue that would be to sell him in the January window at the market value."

I'm not sure he was angry or he just felt let down by Tevez. I'm pretty sure Agüero is dissapointed too, as a few days back he told the argentine press he was hoping Carlos got more game time and maybe even play together up-front. What a way to **** it up, really.

Its a shame really when you see that someone who is being paid so much money, has so many fans and is probably doing one of the most desirable jobs in the world commit an act like this where he basically is being asked to shift his **** from the bench and play football and then pocket a hefty sum at the end of the week for doing just that

Players like Tevez just give football in general a bad name and give the mainstream public all the more reasons to hate it

There is no way in **** City have behaved worse than Tevez in this affair. In fact, City have acted impeccably. They accommodated his wishes, gave him paid leave at a crucial point last season (which arguably resulted in them finishing outside the top 4), even made him captain. How does he repay them? By sulking and refusing to come on.

If that's an icon, we're all doomed.

To be fair, they should loan him to Argyle. We need the players, we can't get him cup tied. I mean.. it's a win win situation. Plymouth is more south as well, so it is basically tropical compared to Manchester. And if he want's, we can have his face as our new sponsor, just to make him happy.

Plus I think you are one step closer to Argentina :P
