This keeper, this West Ham team.................... KUDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially, kudos to Stewart Downing for not doing what 99 other players would have done.

Totally deserved their point, brilliant defending.

Incredibly frustrating game. Just like one of those ****** up games on FM where the opposition goalkeeper magically turns into Gigi Buffon. Oh well there ends our run of 7 straight wins ... City game should be much more different

If only we had some sort of playmaker, some dashing young Spaniard who could unlock defences with the deftest of touches...

I think even he would struggle in this game ... West Ham were literally camping in their box with 9 men. And the the amount of blocked shots we had, especially blocked by Matt Taylor

On the bright side though, think we are more or less assured of a Top 4 spot. Will be hard for Spurs to make up a 7 points gap ... Plus with City and Arsenal still to play, we are well in the middle of the title race. Roll on Etihad

Mata has always been uniquely effective in those situations exactly, when teams are playing the way WH did.

Yea well keeping him on the bench for most games and playing him against West Ham is kind of a waste of his ability ... They are other ways of breaking down defenses and we really should have won today. Lampard should have buried that chance in the end. Ramires and Willian were dreadful today

Oh and can I just say how much I love Eto'o. Their is a reason why he was one of the finest strikers in the world for so long. Guys an absolute predator and will get goals any way he can. Doubt any of the other 20 players on the pitch knew what was going on with Adrian but not Eto'o ... Hope he stays for another season

Can't think of another midfielder we've had in the past that is worse than Ramires technique wise. Thank **** he has some valuable attiributes.

That's taking it too far now..

Fault lies with Jose. You CANNOT play Ramires alongside Mikel in a double pivot unless it's the 90th min and you want to protect a lead. Mikel is great at recycling possession but he was a passenger today as WH were happy to let us have the lions share of the ball and Ramires is about as useful as Torres in these matches ... Lampard and Matic should have been starting

Seriously? I rather have him than Torres or Ba who just looked half-arsed playing today. At least this guy charges up and down the pitch and presses with some purpose even when things are not going his way. He sniffs out goalscoring opportunities which no one else can see. His movement and instincts are still there ... Give him some more time to settle and he can be very useful. A great mentor for someone like Lukaku as well

Not going to happen anyways but I feel some people are unduly harsh on Eto'o

Not being harsh on anyone, just think, that we need something far more reliable for the new season, if we're to be title contenders that is (which we will be). Eto'o is doing fine, considering the age factor and what footbal he's played in the last few seasons. We need a proper striker, a younger striker. Eto'o can't win us titles.

To be fair to West Ham, it was one of the best defensive performances I've seen in a while. So many times when the smaller teams battle to a result against a bigger sides, I've seen people praising them on end saying they defended brilliantly, but most of the time these teams actually didn't defend well as they allowed the team to get in behind them time after time only to get bailed out by the luck of the woodwork or a fantastic goalkeeper. That doesn't apply to West Ham though, they were fantastic.

Now we know how Bayern felt...

I knew how they felt when we played Birmingham away a few years ago. That was a case of a team getting ridiculously lucky, not defending well.
