Yeah I wrote on the transfer rumour thread earlier today I think Manchester will be Nasri's destination.

dont really want him tbh, he is a great player but I think that we can realistically get Modric as he has said that he wants to live in London and since we have already put in a bid for him, it looks like he is the top of our list, just hope that meeting with Levy goes really well for us lol

Yeah Modric is at the top of my list of who I want Chelsea to bring in. I really think he will be great at Chelsea if we sign him

rather than a Nasri who gets his head bloated after a good half-season really... I mean Nasri has only really lit up EPL this season for 6 months to boot while Modric has been consistently good and is a much safer bet than good ole Samir

Michael Emenalo is on the verge of being named as Chelsea's new sporting director, BBC Sport understands.

The 45-year-old former Nigeria international will fill the role vacated by Frank Arnesen, who has taken up a similar position at Hamburg.

Emenalo joined the club in 2007 as head opposition scout and was made assistant first-team coach after the departure of Ray Wilkins in November last year.

He represented his country at the 1994 World Cup, winning 14 caps.

He had a brief spell with Notts County in the mid-1990s and he also played in the USA, Spain, Germany and Israel.

Emenalo will work with new Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Among Arnesen's responsibilities were transfer dealings and oversight of the academy.

******* **** off back to womans football Emenalo!!!

Chelsea have made an enquiry about Nasri according to ssn. Also ssn reported about Falcao saying he would prefer a move to the premier league over la liga

Would love him at Chelsea although i dont think it will happen

Nasri would be the better player i think. He gets goals and makes more goals than Modric and will be cheeper

He didnt get bloated mate, his really good 6months was when he was played as a CM and then Fabregas came back he was shunted out wide which isent his best position. Played as a CM he can get forward behind the strikers score and make lots of goals and will be cheeper than Modric.

Modric is definitely the superior player.

It was AMC not CM that he was playing

As times he was playing in the 3 in midfield doing abit of what Fabregas does for them but he is just naturally more attaking.

He only played cm 3 times.I think he has the ability to do well there (as i argued with Joss) , wouldnt want us tracking him if he didnt, but his best position is AMC

Modric makes more passes, more key passes per game, more sucessful direct balls (even by arsenal standards, nasri's was lower) and more sucessful dribbles per game

But in the midfield we have Nasri could be the long term replacement for Lampard? Or as he gets older Lampard can take the more relaxed approach and do what Scholes did in his latter years and let Nasri be the attaking one.

Not sure Lampard has what it takes to be honest, thats the role he has for england and hes been mixed at it. Modric at the moment would be the better fit for you. Though Nasri would be suited to having McEachran as a partner

Typical Kalou having a joke, great for squad morale.

I dunno, Lampard can spread the ball well but just cant help himself in getting forward but as the months go by he will find it harder tracking back. McEachran needs games next season and a good number of them. Either 15+ at Chelsea or 30+ somewhere else.

ROFLMAO.. Come and get me plea?
"I have signed for five years at Porto and my desire is to see out the deal," Hulk is quoted as saying in Portuguese media.
"I believe that it is not easy to pay my release clause. But if any club is able, it is Chelsea. If Abramovich arrives with the money, this is positive for the club (Porto).
"But I insist that my head is with Porto."

He said only Chelsea can match the clause and his desire is to see out the contract. Epic headline..

Courtesy of Chelseafc.co.uk, Ramires and Luiz weren't there as they are out in Argentina at the Copa America...

Yes, Levy just spoke to SSN whilst leaving in his car and said Modric will not be sold at any price.

yea heard that.

too bad. I suppose we are back for Pastore now. Shame.

Modric holds Spurs talks | Tottenham Hotspur News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

Typically now that 'brief' talks have been held, either Modric will come out publicly and commit to Spurs, keep quiet or Levy will accept a Chelsea bid/negotiate...

I would expect one of those outcomes to happen to be honest

we will see, actually Levy sounded very confident. im not quite sure what Modric wants anyway.

I would rule out Pastore now to be honest, he's Inter bound from what I know/can see...

Sneijder now becomes back on the market in my eyes, Pastore+Coutinho midfield looks like Inter's plan.
