Ohhh man, I've like only just read the new Modric story, they might aswell let him go, or he's gonna "rot in the reserves" according to Levy ( I read the ESPN one :L) Which I know they would never do that, but threatening with something like that is pretty out of order. I have the weird feelings I've confused myself here.

looks like Modric will be leaving, the question is where to.

He has to hand in a transfer request simple as that. If he dosent then he wont get his move. Chelsea are the only side realisticly who can/will sign him mate.

well if levy decides to make him finally available, im sure we will not be the only ones who will fight for his signature, i reckon united also will come to fight for him..

agree I doubt Levy will let him rot in the reserves, hardly like Modric will care he will still be getting his wages so I cant see Levy doing that, honeslty Redknapp and Levy are just being naive when they say that they wont be selling any of their key players because they are out of the CL and its not likely that they will be able to qualify the coming season so they should beat every penny out of us and sell Modric

I think Utd have given up on him. He has specificly said "i want to move to Chelsea because i want to stay in London".

The way i see it from Spurs's view is they either cash in now or maybe/proberly dont get CL football for next season and have to sell him a little cheeper because they will need the cash.

They're probably going to sign Sneijder so I doubt that, maybe foreign teams, but I think he wants to stay in the prem.

honestly speaking we should offer Spurs around 30-35m and say take it or leave it, right now we are in the driving seat as we have cash, CL football and the player wants to move to us so we can then use the rest of the money to sign a player to replace Essien... I honeslty think that 2 midfielders in and Anelka gone and we would have a good set-up as right now I am more worried about the midfield rather than our attacking power

Yer i think that should be our next move, 35mill take it or leave it and see what happens. Spurs should seriously consider doing it sooner rather than later because if they cash in too late they wont be able to sign a replacement.

I agree, Modric seems like our best bet at the moment as Pastore wont go for anything less than 30m and he is still raw plus Modric is a proven PLM player... then if we have the muscle bring Moutinho and another winger who can do a job better than Anelka or Kalou in

MOUTINHO>Modric in my opinion.

Both do the same sort of 'conductor' job but Moutinho is better defensively and younger.

And at 24 million only 2 million more than the first bid for Modric...

#nobrainer

agree with you completely there.. I always think AVB will go after Moutinho as a replacement for Essien if Spurs want 40m for Modric, I say sod it and pay 9m for Freddy Guarin from Porto, thats his release clause btw, he was superb in the second half of the season for Porto and although his signing will be a gamble, if he reproduces the same type of form for us 9m would be an absolute bargain, that way we can also add another winger to our squad

Moutinho- 26m

Freddy Guarin- 9m

Mata- 22m

That way our midfield will go Lamps, Josh, Ramires, Mikel, Moutinho, Freddy Guarin good enough for me

Mata wont go to Chelsea. He was linked with Arsenal but that was before they went after Downing. Liverpool or Arsenal which ever doesnt get Downing will sign Mata.

Aye I mentioned FG release clause when I listed Porto players RC when everyone got excited lol

Guarin,Moutinho and Sissoko are just what Chelsea need

Good article from NOTW (first and last time i have said that) stating AVB has 10 commandments for his Chelsea squad:

  1. Clock in for training by 9
  2. Eat with team-mates
  3. Relax at team hotel in between training sessions
  4. Speak only English at all times
  5. Stick to new restrictions on watching TV, reading newspapers and time on mobile phone
  6. Get hair cut outside of training ground
  7. Families are banned from Cobham
  8. No memorabilia of past glories allowed
  9. No free rides
  10. No one gets in team on reputation
I absolutely love numbers 3, 5 and 8. But the best without a dout is number 4 by a country mile!!!

Social obligations of footballers is a huge thing to AVB...

Brilliant manager as I always thought from his days at the British Virgin Islands

so your saying Mata would prefer Arsenal or Liverpool above us if we did make an offer that is...

no. 7 seems slighty odd... I never knew Players had their hair cut in the training grounds lol

Well with the ammount of different haircuts Malouda has is not suprising lol. And if you had hair like Luiz im sure he has it personly washed every day.

Ashley Cole is thinking right now:
''It doesn't say anything about Air Rifles...''

Modric said he likes to stay in London that doesn't mean he wont be moving away from London. When he gave the interview Chelsea were the only team to make the official bid hence he mentioned Chelsea. Would like to see if team like Madrid or Barca make a bid, he comes up with "I want to stay in London" bs..
