Modric said he likes to stay in London that doesn't mean he wont be moving away from London. When he gave the interview Chelsea were the only team to make the official bid hence he mentioned Chelsea. Would like to see if team like Madrid or Barca make a bid, he comes up with "I want to stay in London" bs..

yeah but currently we are in the front seat and I doubt he wants to leave England... its either us or United who have not really shown their hand yet

Probably wouldn't be. Looks like we have other targets and not in for Modric. If it comes to selling Modric then Levy will try everything to indulge a bidding war to get top dollar for the player.

And also from Spurs pov if they sell him, they should do it ASAP and look for replacement as selling Berbatov on the last day made them no good and left with no time to find replacement.

exactly, what Chelsea should do is put 30m on the table and tell Levy to take it or leave it, we are in the driving seat and there are other targets we can look at anyways, if Levy tries to get more than 35m for Modric, I say sod it and get Moutinho and Guarin in, both of them together would cost about 35 :)

so your saying Mata would prefer Arsenal or Liverpool above us if we did make an offer that is...

That is assuming use do. Chelsea are yet to be linked with him are are showing no real interest. AVB has his heart set in bringing in players from Porto.

And ton answer your question, they only need to look at the past careers of Steve Sidwell, Scot Parker, Damian Duff amongst others to know the grass isn't always greener.

Few rumours stating Nico Anelka is in talks with PSG. Being his favourite club and PSG's windfall its definatly a deal i can see happening.

Do want. Studge could be in the first team plans!

i hope he goes. we can get some cash, and promote Sturridge.

if AVB wants him anyway.

Any word on what sort of formation AVB's going to play? And what did he go with at Porto?

4-3-3 with Porto, and fortunately our best formation, the one we get the best results with, is 4-3-3. so hopefully he will stick with that.

So if Sturridge were to replace Anelka, it'd probably be a straight swap on the right with Dani cutting inside a lot?

He went with 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 at times. Tacticly he is brilliant and plays the formation that suits the players he has.

We would be stupid not to give Sturridge a start starting with Sunderland away

I so hope we keep Sturridge. Letting Anelka leave will be good for the wage books and we could get 5-10mill for him still i rekon.

Thats how i would play it mate.

the winning way is never stupid, even without Sturridge. as long as we are winning, i dont care who plays. Sorry but the club is bigger than anyone who is playing for it. the club does always come first.

The point is Sturridge deserves to start, it dosent help him that he will miss the first 3 games.

Is Studge rated as a winger?

It would be more of a free role. He is at his best when he can pick the ball up turn and beat a couple defenders and either play someone in or have a pop himself. I would play him on the right from the off and just let him roam.

Croatian blasts 'arrogant' Levy after being denied Spurs exit

Wantaway midfielder Luka Modric insists he will hand in a transfer request if Tottenham continue to block a potential move away from the club.
