Moutinho+Martinez+Young DM=Solves all of Chelsea's problems in the midfield.

Then if Bastos is signed LW and a RW is pulled from somewhere Chelsea will seriously mean business.

but he is signed to a long term contract that he is legally obliged to. Levys is a businessman and he will do whats best for the club. Modric didnt have to sign a long term contract and Levy doesnt have to sell, in case you didnt understand that. Modric ad his agents are the one's who are at fault here

as far as i know, they had an agreement(which Levy denies), if a good offer came for Luka, Levy would let him go. If the offer is perfectly right though. So, will see.

Modric is on a 6 year contract, in case you didn't understand. Do you not understand what a contract means?

Don't sign a new long term deal - especially one without a release clause - if you have no intention of seeing it out.

He's Levy's player, he'll do what he ****** well likes and shouldn't sell just because Chelsea have set their eyes on him. Your arrogance is unbelievable, really.

a "gentlemans agreement", something levy would never agree to. And if Modric's agent was any good, he would have put a legally binding clause in the contract. and if you think Levy believes 27M is a good offer for him, try again. It was always going to be on the high side of 30, if not even closer to 40

Gentlemens agreement means nothing though. If its not in black on his contract then it dosent matter. Spurs will squeeze as much as they can out of Chelsea without a dout.

If they had an agreement, he should of put it in his contract. He's just trying to push the transfer through saying they had an agreement, making Levy look the bad guy and all.

Levy won't necessarily let him go at all. Modric is 25, 26 in September. 5 years left on his contract, yep, he could quite easily wreck his career if he chooses to be a **** about it and Levy stands firm.

**** right, i never said 27 is a good offer, but 35 will have to do. cmon man, Sneijder is 35-40, and Sneijder >>> Modric. Be realistic here.

Exactly, Levy is a very shrewd businessman. If he has to sell he will make you pay through the nose

agree.

Inter are more willing that Spurs to sell

maybe, but an unhappy player in the squad is not less of a problem.

Depends, Modric may yet just get his head down and play if it becomes clear he wont get his move. Until then he will keep pushing and Levy will keep resisting

im curious, what would you think about that if it was situation at your club? lets say Rooney vs Gill , Rooney is willing to leave asap, and Gill is not letting him. will your stance be the same then. i bet not. because as a fan, you would like to see Rooney go, instead of keeping him at the squad unhappy. think about it. **** levy **** modric.

Er, dont put words in my mouth. I'd want Gill to do whats best for the club. We had our issue with Rooney already

Did that not happen and then Rooney signed a new contract :/

Rooney's desire to leave wasnt the same as it is with Modric. Rooney just wanted more money, it was obvious.
on the other hand, Modric wants CL football + more money(clearly) + competing for the title every season and chance of winning every possible trophy in club football, lets say it, with Spurs he will not have either of this. (okay CL once in a while maybe)
So its quite different imo.

I didnt bring up Rooney, you did. again all that is irrelevant. he's under contract, we've just discussed this. What he wants doesnt matter as far as Levy is concerned, he will do whats best for the club.

throw Mata in there too and we got a top-class line-up

Essien is out for 6 months.

Club will confirm shortly.

Sad news for Essien but not as bad as people feared, they were talking 8 months up to a season.

Not great at all, could be a massive boost for us though in the 2nd half of the season.

Haters will remain Haters I guess..... Firstly the decision by Levy to fax every 'interested' club that Modric was not for sale was probably the worst business decision I have seen. He more or less told everyone that Spurs would be vulnerable if one for Modric. Now secondly, people say we should be respectful to the selling club. Now if Roman did go to Levy and say 'Hey Daniel lets talk about Modric' obviously he will be scoffed at. So we put a bid of 22m for him which is rejected outright. Fair enough, Spurs do not want to sell and I do not believe in 'morality' laws so even though they did fax us, its hardly like we are holding them at gunpoint, they have every right to reject a bid which they did. Fair Enough.

Now apparently the situation calms down and Modric has his 'crisis' talks with Levy after which Levy says that Modric will not be sold at any price. Ok so we do not lodge any bid for him or anything from there now that apparently Levy is ****-bent on refusing to sell Modric. Now Modric out of his own choice comes out and says he wants to join Chelsea and that Levy is threatening to banish him to the stands and is reneging on a 'gentlemans agreement'. Did we force Modric to say all this, no. He said it out of his own choice and he wants to join our club. Fair Enough.

Sure we were slightly unethical for still lodging a bid but Spurs could always reject it so **** we bid and they rejected it. Maybe we should be more respectful but as far as I can see, all we did was put in a bid for him. How the **** were we supposed to know Modric so badly wants to join us unless Roman and Gourlay can read minds. Typically as Chelsea and Spurs do not have much of a gap between them, we did not have much of an advantage so I dont know why everyone says we are unsettling him. Its obvious he wants to join us, we never knew that until his interview.

Rant Over

Sorry guys I just get sick and tired of everyone having a go at Chelsea and making us to be the villain all the time
