Thats was very reliable source.. If you go by his interview or SAF's interview there is a lot of work to be done. Long way to close the deal.

Haters will remain Haters I guess..... Firstly the decision by Levy to fax every 'interested' club that Modric was not for sale was probably the worst business decision I have seen. He more or less told everyone that Spurs would be vulnerable if one for Modric. Now secondly, people say we should be respectful to the selling club. Now if Roman did go to Levy and say 'Hey Daniel lets talk about Modric' obviously he will be scoffed at. So we put a bid of 22m for him which is rejected outright. Fair enough, Spurs do not want to sell and I do not believe in 'morality' laws so even though they did fax us, its hardly like we are holding them at gunpoint, they have every right to reject a bid which they did. Fair Enough.

Now apparently the situation calms down and Modric has his 'crisis' talks with Levy after which Levy says that Modric will not be sold at any price. Ok so we do not lodge any bid for him or anything from there now that apparently Levy is ****-bent on refusing to sell Modric. Now Modric out of his own choice comes out and says he wants to join Chelsea and that Levy is threatening to banish him to the stands and is reneging on a 'gentlemans agreement'. Did we force Modric to say all this, no. He said it out of his own choice and he wants to join our club. Fair Enough.

Sure we were slightly unethical for still lodging a bid but Spurs could always reject it so **** we bid and they rejected it. Maybe we should be more respectful but as far as I can see, all we did was put in a bid for him. How the **** were we supposed to know Modric so badly wants to join us unless Roman and Gourlay can read minds. Typically as Chelsea and Spurs do not have much of a gap between them, we did not have much of an advantage so I dont know why everyone says we are unsettling him. Its obvious he wants to join us, we never knew that until his interview.

Rant Over

Sorry guys I just get sick and tired of everyone having a go at Chelsea and making us to be the villain all the time

How do you know?

yea its the Sun, but still. So you aint buyin him?

There is surely interest from our side and I think it is in progress. Sneijder said He loves staying in Milan (Place) but will move if club wants to sell him. We need to wait few more weeks to get anything close to what is going on.

this modric saga starting to **** me off to say the least. im really looking forward to seeing it finally ended. too much drama for one ****** player.

I don't want Modric.

Not because he's a bad player but because of the money it will cost to get Levy to sell him, not worth that sort of price in my opinion when FFPR is coming in and there are 100 pct better targets out there that are cheaper.

I agree, 35mill for Modric is massivly overpriced in my eyes and wont be too chuffed if we give into Spurs and pay that for him. We could get Scott Parker for under half of that and i would say on occasions he is a better player than Modric.

he is indeed.
35-40 we can get Sneijder. Ive been saying this for months now.... I dont understand the fact we are not IN for him. we surely can offer him better wages than united. its another matter where he wants to play. if he chooses utd then fine, at least we tried. but 35 for modric, whereas an alternative, a better player is out there, man, are we making business here or what?

This is the way im looking at it, Michael Essien with the exception of the start of last season was massivly out of form. Now if signed Modric will be bought in to replace Essien in the side but last season they both had the same ammount of starts in the Premier League and both ending with the same ammount of goals and assists and that was an out of form Essien!!

o.0.

Modric will sit alongside Lampard as a deep lying playmaker I would presume, nothing like the player Essien is at all, would prefer Moutinho>Modric and Javi Martinez/Sissoko brought in to replace Essien whilst hes injured.

Starting to sound like a broken record...

Anyway in another Essien story, Chelsea team mates don't expect him back until April despite the clubs official assessment being 6 months...Worrying thoughts.

Maybe so but i still think 35mill for him is too much. Sneijder is valued at 35mill and he isent even on the same level as him.

Oh no I mean me+BlueHeart agree with you, we don't want Modric for the price he will cost us...

And this 35 million figure is generous, Levy wont settle for anything less than 40 million in my opinion, I've said it before that I have true fears that Roman has got tunnel vision and is ignoring other targets in his pursuit for Modric.

Redknapp has labelled Chelsea's improved £27m offer for Modric as 'poor'. Redknapp values 'way, way, way in excess of that'

You starting to get the same feeling as me?

Broken Record...

Broken records can't be heard if people are deaf to the sounds they are making

Modric saga=Becoming the CF/CT standard of ''I don't want to hear about it anymore''
